Chapter 152 - Not Worthy

Name:ALINEA Author:schreient
"Not that it has anything to do with you..."

Homura Ryuu's voice was cold and unforgiving. For normal people, the tone used was enough to reduce anyone into a shrinking mess, wishing they would disappear, unable to bear the pressure coming out of the prince with his infamous forbidding aura. But this was Okada Koharu, queen of delusions; she was not even fazed to be cut down mercilessly with words.

With a sunny smile, she turned to Ryuu, her brown eyes bright, urging the prince to acknowledge her. "I was wondering to talk to you," she said in a very familiar manner, hoping he would pay attention to her.

She was disappointed. After telling her off with that few sentences, the Homura prince's attention was back towards Ara, totally ignoring her. This made the nutjob very, very unhappy. She watched the two interact, her smile vanishing each second passed until her face contorted into anger.

Nobody minded her still, however. Even the others had crowded over the couple as they talked, leaving her several steps behind. For the first time, she opened her ears to reality and listened intently to what was being said.

"Did you get it?" Suzuki Ara asked Homura Ryuu in a very intimate manner as the latter pulled her closer to his body, making the former lean on him as a lover would.

"Of course. It's all settled," Ryuu told her softly with a smile, and a fit of nauseating jealousy exploded in Koharu's heart.

Why?

Why would her prince – the prince who had touched her so gently to save her, preventing her from falling on the ground be like this to someone else? Her wild eyes turned to Ara who had on an equally gentle smile and to the others who were grinning at the couple – even teasing them.

In Koharu's eyes, she'd never seen anything more disgusting than these people. Now she knew, now she understood. The prince scolded her because these people badmouthed her name to him. They told the prince bad things about her so that he would feel aloof towards her like this and so he'd turn his attention to Ara, the slut!

These were the thoughts that ran inside Okada Koharu's mind. Nevermind that Ara and the archer prince had been together since middle school – long before Ara and Koharu even knew each other. Nevermind that she already knew that Ara's boyfriend was the archer prince. Nevermind that Koharu and Ryuu only had that one encounter on the street last week and never really knew each other. If it weren't for the trip to the Cedar Palace, she wouldn't even know his name.

No. These things were not important to her.

In the girl's twisted world, she was Homura Ryuu's lover – the princess – the only princess for this prince.

And…

Koharu eyed Rin, Midori, and Miharu with pure hatred. These people who she had treated well as her friends – these ungrateful bitches – how dare they do this to her?

They made her lose her love – not once but twice!

Unforgivable. Totally unforgivable…

Then again…

She turned her narrowed eyes on Ara and snickered inside as an idea came to her. "This suicidal bitch is forgetting something…"

With her new scheme coming into light, Koharu's smile returned as she stepped forward closer to the group as if she was a welcome party.

"What are you talking about guys? Why didn't you tell me about Ara and Ryuu?" she asked, acting all demure as she pouted. It was as if she was sulking for being left out in the dark. "You even went shopping together without telling me – you're all so bad."

With her words, everyone except the Koutaishidenka turned to look at her like she was from a different planet. Since she didn't care about them, she ignored them as she continued to step forward, advancing towards Ara and her prince. However, before she even got very close, a hand barred her way, and she turned in surprise towards a man in a black suit blocking her.

"Step back," the man ordered her.

"Why? I'm Ara's friend. I want to talk to her," she demanded, glaring at the man before turning her eyes towards Ara who was looking at her, and she smiled again. "Ara, tell this gorilla to let me pass. I have something to discuss with you."

Suzuki Ara sighed. She looked like she was going to have a headache if she lingered. "I'm busy," she informed her blandly, making Koharu's breath hitch, her chest heaving as she tried her best to control her temper.

How dare this bitch treat her like this?

If she got the chance, she would slap that proud look off Suzuki Ara's face. Better yet, she would have that devil torture her until she wished she had truly died years ago – the loser. Still, Koharu thought herself as a nice girl, so she would forgive Ara as long as she agreed to what Koharu had in mind.

"Let's go," Ryuu murmured, as he signaled the others to follow him towards the waiting car.

Since Koharu had been busy talking with herself, she hadn't realized the others were already walking towards the open SUV until the big man in front of her turned around to leave.

Her prince was leaving!

She clamored to her feet and jogged towards them like a desperate woman that she was. "Ara!" she called Suzuki's name, but the bitch wouldn't even turn to look at her as she let the others get in the car first. When Koharu failed to get her attention, she then turned towards Ryuu who stood next to the ungrateful bitch.

"Ryuu! Ryuu!" she called her beloved's name and was totally elated when he turned towards her, even with piercing blue gaze, the deep pools stormy and unwelcoming towards her.

She stopped in her tracks. At last, he looked at her! She smiled, her eyes shining with her love – her face showing him all her longing, hoping he would understand how she felt.

Not.

When the prince spoke, he had nothing but cold indifference towards her.

"Woman, who do you think you are? I do not know who you are. Do not speak my name so easily like we're familiar with each other. You are not worthy."
