Chapter 150 - EQ not IQ

Name:ALINEA Author:schreient
"Ara, are we really going to irritate her?"

For the umpteenth time, Rin asked the couple that Ara couldn't help but laugh. All six of them were sitting inside one of Kou's cars, a Lincoln MKT on the way to Ginza.

Earlier, when Ryuu told Ara that Koharu was there, she found it funny but was also surprised. She now believed that there was nothing she could hide from the prince. It was a good thing that she had decided to tell him everything about Koharu. In the end, her fiancé knew better than her. In fact, he had the nutjob monitored well that he knew her every move. She still had no idea what type her fiancé had, but she felt it's a super state of the art kind of surveillance to let him know what's happening in real-time.

Thus, since they had agreed to tell each other what's happening, Ara asked Ryuu if she could tell her friends about Koharu. He was amused but didn't forbid her – not that she was not prepared to pester him until he agreed if he didn't. So, all of them were now bound to Ginza to make sure Koharu saw them and make her move.

"Urgh, Rin, if you don't stop asking that we'd make you get out of the car," Miharu warned.

It didn't scare Rin, however. In fact, she looked ecstatic and excited. "Ah, but I can't help it. I'm so thrilled. After pissing us off, we get to have our turn to piss her off!"

Everyone shook their heads at her, but with a smile on their faces. Rin was just too bubbly for her own good.

"We're not even sure if she will approach us," Midori reminded her.

"I'm sure she will," Rin rolled her eyes. "Remember how shameless she was at the Cedar Palace, pretending like she was innocent? I bet she'd approach us as of nothing happened or pretend to apologize."

Ara and Ryuu exchanged looks of surprise.

"What's wrong you two?"Sonoda asked as he transferred his gaze from Ara to Ryuu.

It was Ara who answered. "Kou and I were thinking the same. She'll approach us pretending to have snapped out of her madness and apologize just to get close and get information."

The others' mouths formed an O upon hearing this. Rin looked smug. "See? It's not only me who's thinking she's going to be shameless."

"Oh well, how do we do it by the way? I'm not good at acting," Sonoda said with serious worry that made everyone laugh.

"You don't have to act. Just do what you usually do. Ignore her if you want," Midori told him with a pat on his knee before turning to the couple. "What are we going to do first when we get there?"

"Shopping," Ara answered. "It's what we originally planned in the first place."

"Just do what you need to do. You don't have to anticipate or worry about her," Ryuu told them, and they relaxed.

Soon, the car reached Ginza and all of them alighted.

"Let's go look for clothes!"Ara ushered all of them towards Tokyu Plaza Ginza, the most modern, and complex shopping center in the whole district.

To say that it was huge was an understatement. The building had several shops, cafes, and restaurants as well as duty-free shops within. It was a convenient place to visit first since they still had no idea what they wanted to buy anyway. Thus, they decided to enter the first boutique which displays caught their eyes.

"Are you sure you are going in there with them?"Sonoda asked Ryuu who didn't seem to understand.

"Why not?"

The athlete shrugged. "Well, your wife's going to buy clothes to wear for you on your wedding day. I think she'd prefer it that you don't see her in it yet."

The girls looked at Sonoda with shining eyes. It seemed they were wondering how to tell the groom not to follow them inside.

"Oh my goodness, your brain power's really on a different level today," Midori told her boyfriend happily. "I'm falling more and more in love," she added as she wiggled her brow, making Sonoda look bashful.

"It's not really his brainpower, but Hiro surprisingly has a very high EQ," Rin commented which the others readily agreed.

Sonoda Hiroaki had been Mr. Relationship adviser the whole day today.

But then, Ara saw that Ryuu looked like he wanted to pout. He must be feeling bad that he didn't realize that so she went to him and patted his face. "Don't worry darling, you still win with brainpower and face value."

After saying that, instead of being appeased Ryuu looked more depressed so Ara laughed and gave him a quick hug.

"You boys stay there and wait for us okay?"Ara pointed at a bench in front of the boutique, and the two obeyed.

The four girls then went to the boutique giggling. Inside, they were automatically greeted by the staff with their ready smiles. Ara had been at this place before with Kou and recognized some of the ladies who seemed to recognize her as well. They eagerly asked what they were looking for, and the staff efficiently led them to the area with simple white short dresses.

"Oh dear, they're all so beautiful."

There were several lovely dresses with different cuts on the rack and on display. Ara was not really sure which one to choose now that she'd seen them. "Aaaaah they all look good!"

She looked and sounded problematic, making everyone laugh including the staff.

"Why don't you try on some so we can see which one is the best?"

Ha?

"Don't worry, just choose one from different cuts, and try them on."

Ara had no choice when the girls pushed her to the changing cubicle and handed her dresses that she tried on one by one. In the end, because of her height and her build, everything looked good on her, but she settled with the halter cut dress partnered with a white coat with soft faux fur.

"Now that's the perfect wedding dress," Rin and the others approved, and so Ara bought it.

They didn't go out of the store yet though, as Ara surprised them with a dress each as a gift.

"What? Why would you buy us dresses?" Miharu wanted to know. All the clothes in the store were high-end expensive ones.

"That's right. We came here to shop for you and not for us," Midori added, but Ara shook her head.

"Why won't I buy dresses for my bridesmaids?" she countered, and all the girls looked touched, even teary-eyed, and no choice but to agree.

Ara had to push them so they'd start choosing dresses for themselves. They were quick for shopping though compared to most girls as they were able to find the correct clothes for them almost immediately. It took them only an hour to choose and buy before they returned to the boys waiting outside.

"Finished?"Ryuu asked and when they nodded, he guided them all back to the waiting car.

"Where are we going?"Ara asked as they drove around.

It didn't take long though as the car stopped after three minutes.

"We're here," Ryuu announced. "The crazy girl's just across the street. If we get out of here she would surely see us." He pointed at the restaurant outside, and sure enough, Koharu was there coming out with an older man.

"Oh! Is it time?"Rin was excited again that Miharu had to shush her as they got out of the car.

The Lincoln MKT then left as the driver was instructed, so all six of them were in a clear view of the burikko standing just on the other side of the street with her companion.

"I will leave you guys here so she can approach you. Don't worry, my men are just around," the Koutaishidenka told them before turning to Ara. "I'll go get our rings now," he said with his blue eyes dancing in mischief. He leaned over and whispered to her ear before leaving.

"Behave princess…"
