The day I was able to talk a bit to Sakurai, I got a message from my sister that read, “Come to the student council office after school. The president wants to see you.”

I stood before that office’s door, thinking of why they’d call me. Well, I have nothing else to do, so I’m just going along with it.

Haven’t seen her since the entrance ceremony, huh…

Since I don’t really have a lot to do with the council, I haven’t come back here at all since my first day. At that time, no one was there except for my sister, who was taking care of prep for the ceremony. I know there are some people here today, though.

After a few moments of thinking, I knocked on the door saying, “Excuse me,” and stepped into the room—

“Hm?”

“… Huh?”

—And was stunned by the scene unfolding before me. A female student with long hair carried a bamboo sword on her shoulder. She noticed me coming in and turned around. Looking further in I saw another female student lying on her back right in front of her.

Furthermore, I saw my sister with a troubled face looking at the two.

What the hell is this situation?

I was so taken aback by it, that my head stopped working for a moment. I’d just stepped into a crime scene out of nowhere, anyone would’ve been as flabbergasted as I was.

The sword-carrying girl approached me with a beaming smile. “Yo, you must’ve come a long way. You must be Shuri’s little bro, right? I’m—”

“Well then, excuse me.”

If I stay here, I might become the next victim. That’s why I did the sensible thing and started walking away to protect myself. I quietly closed the door behind me and attempted to walk home, or rather, to escape.

However, just as I took another step, the door behind me opened and that girl grabbed me by the collar. “Wait, why are you leaving? You’ve walked all the way here, so why not grab a cup of tea and chill?” She let go of me.

“… How am I supposed to ‘chill’ in there?”

“In there? Oh, that was just a teensy little punishment for our accountant who skipped school for a while, don’t worry about it~!”

It was impossible not to! There was no way I could sip on some green tea with a person lying on the floor, probably dead mind you, next to me!

This girl’s wearing a white mask and carries a bamboo sword, and to top it off she hit the accountant!

Curious, I pointed to her sword and asked her something.

“Punishment… Did you possibly hit her with it? Just a theory.”

“Hm? Yeah, but don’t worry about it. I didn’t go ham.”

That’s not the point!

Thinking that, I peeked into the room through a gap in the door. The girl was alive, holding her head and groaning while my sister looked over worriedly.

“Um…”

“Don’t think about the small stuff, she’ll be able to stand up straight away. Oh, by the way, I was in the middle of introducing myself! I’m Aoi Kuonji, a senior and the student council president.”

Then she held her hand out to me.
