The hundred meter long tail slapped the bottom of the sea and immediately sent sand and rocks flying.

A few mermen, tugging at the back, were pulled up and also sent flying. The eel monster was being caught, but one would think they were flying a kite.

Bai Lixin arrived to see the electric eel’s tail flip, and the mermen were flung into the surrounding sand.

The front half of the eel was wrapped in a huge net, so it could only swim forward and not backward. The net was tightening up, and finally, it could only fall to the ground and flap its tail.

On seeing Bai Lixin, Green Hair shouted in surprise, “Great, you’re all right!”

“What could have happened to me?” Bai Lixin swam over with a flick of his tail, looking at the dying electric eel monster curiously.

The seaweed around it was scorched, and the sea water was filled with the pungent smell of burnt rubber. There was a merman lying on the far side, his face burnt to a crisp, and he was twitching on the ground.

Bai Lixin swept a glance at the twitching merman and asked Green Hair, “Is he all right?”

Green Hair, “Yes, he was accidentally electrocuted just now. We merfolk recover quickly. He’ll be fine after a while.”

He looked Bai Lixin up and down and was relieved to see that there were no wounds on his body, “What happened to the Hundred-eyed monster?”

Bai Lixin, “Dead.”

Fat merman, “Dead? What’s dead? The Hundred-eyed Monster dead? It was so powerful. Why did it die?”

Green hair glared at the fat merman, “Didn’t I tell you that it swam into the Western Sea area?”

The fat merman, “But it’s so strong, it doesn’t matter if it’s in the West Sea area. It only lives in the South Sea because it likes the temperature of the South Sea.”

Green Hair choked.

He was so right that he couldn’t even refute it.

The two stared at each other for a while, and finally looked at Bai Lixin in unison with a helpless thirst for knowledge.

Bai Lixin, “If I had to say it, it would be that it died of old age.”

Green Hair & Fat Merman: “……”

Counting the age of that behemoth, it did seem to be about as old as it could be.

With that, Bai Lixin approached the electric eel monster.

Green Hair pulled him back, “Hey, wait. It still has a bit of residual power in it, so you can’t get too close.”

However, Bai Lixin was as if he hadn’t heard Green Hair’s voice as he went forward with the shark skin bag.

Blue Star had a method of experimentation called the trial and error method.

To put it plainly, it was taking what was possible and trying it over and over again, and after hundreds of failures, there was always one success.

When there is no pattern, this seemingly clumsy and brainless method would become the most feasible and convenient.

The split turtle didn’t do anything to him at the moment, but he felt like he should be well prepared. None of the monsters in this game were fuel efficient, and since he was a target, he had to prepare in advance in case it would turn out to be some kind of a disaster later on.

It was better to be prepared than to come up with a temporary solution later.

He pulled the split turtle sealed in the shark skin bag and threw it in the direction of the electric eel monster.

Sensing the approach of something, the electric eel monster immediately whipped its tail wildly and a blue light emerged from its body.

Along with the blue light, Bai Lixin also heard the stinging sound of electric currents colliding with sparks.

Almost at the same time as the sound of the electric current, the somewhat dazed split turtle fell right through the net and onto the electric eel.

The electric shock was only momentary, and a blue flash emerged from the split turtle’s body before Bai Lixin saw it spasm and shudder several times.

The claws, which were already bound, curled up even more this time.

The electric shock ended and the split turtle wobbled off the electric eel and landed on the sea sand.

The claws at the end of its scorched body twitched twice.

The electric eel monster also seemed to have burned out its last charge, and it finally fell to the ground, motionless.

The fat merman saw that the electric eel monster was completely immobile, and he called for the others to come over to help.

They had to kill it now and take out the tendons while it was unconscious.

While the mermaids were working on stripping the electric eel monster, Bai Lixin’s attention was on the split turtle.

He pulled the split turtle over. The freezing earlier had only slowed its movements, and once the ice melted, it sprang to life like a rainbow.

The electric shock had now temporarily disabled the split turtle, though the beep of points gained still did not appear in his mind.

The split turtle’s body was burnt to a black scorch, but the creature was still alive and well.

In fact, he wanted to open the thing up and see what was inside.

Freezing and electrocuting don’t kill them, and slashing will split them exponentially.

What else was there?

Lava?

Bai Lixin: [S419M, where’s the lava inlet around here?]

S419M scanned for two seconds, and a map appeared in Bai Lixin’s mind: [I’ll pass it on to you, Lord host.]

The escape system couldn’t help but speak: [You are cheating! As the most impartial system, you cannot offer help to the player. You can only provide the player with mission-related information in the most neutral capacity.]

S419M: [I didn’t provide this map.]

Escape System: [?]

S419M: [I found the map from your knowledge base. If you really want to say that I helped, it was because of your contribution.]

Escape System: [……]

Help! I’m dirty! I’m not clean anymore!

While the two systems bickered, Bai Lixin had already set off towards the lava with the split turtle in his hand.

Green Hair saw Bai Lixin going off out of the corner of his eye, and he subconsciously asked, “You’re going there again?”

Bai Lixin, “I’m going to check out the lava inlet. I’ll be back in a few minutes after catching another angelfish. You need to catch another electric eel monster, right? Hasn’t that angelfish been used up?”

As bait, the angelfish had long been swallowed by the electric eel monster.

Bai Lixin was right. Another angelfish had to be caught to catch the next electric eel monster.

Green Hair, “Be careful then, the water is very hot in that area, so don’t get too close. Angelfish won’t be there, they like the cold.”

“Okay,” Bai Lixin had swum out several meters, and he looked back at Green Hair, “Thanks for the warning.”

Bai Lixin’s back slowly disappeared from sight.

Where no one could see, the lifelike black butterfly on Bai Lixin’s back slowly swayed for a moment.

Then, the wings of the shadow butterfly flapped a few times on the back and naturally stretched out from Bai Lixin’s back, turning into a very three-dimensional butterfly wing.

The wings fluttered, and as Bai Lixin’s tail moved, the wings followed suit and flapped in the water.

From a distance, it looked as if Bai Lixin had grown a pair of huge wings.

Bai Lixin noticed and looked back just in time to see the butterfly wings fluttering.

The butterfly wings paused.

Surprise flashed in Bai Lixin’s eyes, and he quietly withdrew his gaze.

Seeing Bai Lixin’s lack of reaction, the butterfly wings flapped again.

In this way, neither of them took the initiative to speak along the way. The silence haloed around them, but without the feeling of awkwardness and urgency.

There was no prior discussion, and they kept quiet by tacit agreement.

The scorched split turtle in Bai Lixin’s hands suddenly shook itself, its body jumping nimbly.

It dragged its damaged body and tried to crawl onto his back.

With a tug from Bai Lixin, it stumbled and was yanked back again.

Time passed, and the temperature of the water around Bai Lixin rose slowly.

It was not until the water around him was tinged orange-red that he stopped moving any further.

The water temperature here was almost 50 degrees; any further and it would not be a roasted split turtle, but a roasted mermaid.

The mouth of the lava was close at hand, and the hole was not far from his naked eye, only a few meters away.

The split turtle was very depressed.

In just an hour, it had experienced cold, electricity, and heat. Even if it didn’t die, it was by no means a pleasant experience.

Bai Lixin weighed the length of the seaweed in his hand. It was only 3 meters long, but he was 5 or 6 meters away from the molten lava entrance.

It was not feasible to throw. The seaweed was not that long, so did he have to give up here?

The black shadow that had been flapping its wings came swaying to the front.

The black wings curled around Bai Lixin’s arms and immediately spread all over his body without sparing any part. Even his face was wrapped tightly, revealing only a pair of eyes.

With the shadow covering him, the temperature, which had been steaming hot just a moment ago, immediately cooled down.

But Bai Lixin knew that it was not the water that had cooled. Dijia had used his unique domain to help insulate him from the heat.

Bai Lixin lowered his voice and whispered, “Thank you”.

His little finger wiggled twice, as if it had been pulled.

Bai Lixin smiled gently and, without further hesitation, dragged the split turtle towards the mouth of the lava.

The split turtle was dumbfounded.

The temperature was getting hotter and hotter, and it finally couldn’t take the blazing heat and started swimming backwards.

But where could it go with Bai Lixin dragging it?

Unable to resist, the split turtle was thrown into the lava.

[Ding! Congratulations, player, for killing the split turtle X1. The monster is ranked D. You have earned 100 points.]

The split turtle was only D rank?

So it was dead? Was heat the split turtle’s weakness?

Bai Lixin was still thinking about it when the system prompt sounded again.

[Ding! Split turtle split X2, your points are reduced by 200 points.]

Bai Lixin: “?”

He yanked the seaweed, but the split turtle at the end had disappeared.

It had split.

Couldn’t the lava kill it either?

Bai Lixin frowned and waited for the two split turtles to climb up.

He stared at the mouth of the lava in front of him vigilantly, his body in an attack posture as he waited for the split turtles to come up and strike a blow.

It seems he had thought the split turtle was too easy!

However, instead of the split turtle coming up, he got a system prompt.

[Ding! Congratulations player, you have killed the split turtle X2, you have earned 200 points.]

Bai Lixin: “……”

For the next ten minutes, the system kept beeping.

[Ding! Split turtle split X4, your points are reduced by 400 points.]

[Ding! Congratulations, player. You have killed the split turtle X4, you have earned 400 points.]

.

.

.

[Ding! The split turtle has split X1024, your points have been reduced by 102400 and have exceeded the lower limit.]

[Ding! Congratulations player, you have killed split turtle X1024, you have gained 102400 points. As the limit is 40,000 points, you can only earn 40,000 points.]

[Ding! Split turtle split X2048… Warning! Warning! The split turtles have chosen to self-destruct.  Congratulations player, you have killed split turtle X2048, you gain 40,000 points.]

The escape system, which has never shouted for so long: [……]

I’m numb.

The points display bar in the task bar kept fluctuating up and down. Even an EKG didn’t even jump as much as this thing did.
