The next morning, Shen Tiantian was tormented by morning sickness that came earlier than her usual physiological alarm clock, lasting for nearly ten minutes, leaving her legs feeling weak. Shan Yi supported her with all her heart but felt powerless.

Upon Shen Tiantian’s insistence, they went out for breakfast together and then headed to the market to buy groceries.

The market near their residential area was of medium size, and though it had been cleaned up in the early morning, the ground was still marked with small puddles, darkened by the crowd’s continuous footsteps.

At twenty-six years old, it was Shan Yi’s first time squeezing through the market alongside the aunties to buy groceries. She looked at the hand that was firmly held in hers, and her lips curved slightly upwards. However, with Shen Tiantian by her side, it brought a whole different flavor to the experience.

Shen Tiantian had just been discharged from the hospital. Unconsciously, she used her hand to protect her belly and tried to keep her distance from others. Shen Tiantian turned her head and asked Shan Yi what dish she wanted to cook.

Considering that both of them were pregnant, and it was Shan Yi’s first formal meeting with Liu Wanjun, the impression was crucial; she couldn’t be negligent. After deciding on the time and location last night, she specifically sent a message to consult Shan Yi.

They both needed extra nutrients now that they were eating for two, so it wasn’t enough to just eat foods that prevent morning sickness. Shan Yi bought a fish head and two pieces of tofu, intending to add more tofu to reduce the fishy taste.

Shen Tiantian has been craving sour foods lately. The sour plum she bought a couple of days ago looked so sour that it would make others wince, but she showed no sign of hesitation and ate more than half the can in just one day.

People always say sour for boys and spicy for girls; she was worried that Shen Tiantian would give birth to a boy. As more and more people gathered, Shan Yi held her waist tightly, fearing that she might get hurt.

Their phone, placed inside the bag, rang numerous times, but due to the noise in the market, neither of them heard it until they came out of the market.

Shen Tiantian came along just for fun, as all the things they bought were in Shan Yi’s hands, and the weight caused her hands to turn purple. Yet, she didn’t utter a word and took on all the responsibilities.

Turning back into the community, a silver Maybach car was parked at the entrance. As soon as they appeared, the doors on both sides were pushed open from the inside.

“Tiantian.” Liu Wanjun walked quickly towards her, her eyebrows furrowed: “Where did you go? You didn’t reply to my messages or answer calls.”

In the past, Liu Wanjun wouldn’t have been so worried, but now things were different. Shen Tiantian was pregnant and living alone. Suddenly losing contact, who knows what might have happened to her?!

As expected, they saw Lin Haozhi. Shan Yi didn’t show any surprise, but Lin Haozhi looked a bit astonished, “Shan Yi?”

“Long time no see.” Shan Yi smiled with a touch of formality.

Lin Haozhi laughed: “It hasn’t been that long.”

Shan Yi and Lin Haozhi were neighbors, and their families also had business dealings. They had a good relationship and could be considered close friends. However, they had little contact after Shan Yi returned from abroad. The last time they met was at his wedding.

The Lin family was one of the top prestigious families in City A. Lin Haozhi’s wedding had many industry elites coming to congratulate him.

She didn’t particularly like such occasions and originally intended to show her face and then leave. However, after seeing Shen Tiantian, she hesitated and decided to stay. What happened was beyond her expectations.

Shen Tiantian frowned, feeling a bit puzzled. “Do you two know each other?!”

Liu Wanjun had already seen Shan Yi, but she was too worried about Shen Tiantian, so she unconsciously ignored her. She looked Shan Yi up and down, a sense of familiarity washing over her.

“You look somewhat familiar,” Liu Wanjun spoke frankly.

Shan Yi smiled, “I attended your wedding.”

Liu Wanjun suddenly realized, “No wonder! When Tiantian posted a photo of your back, I thought it looked familiar.”

After all, such a beautiful back, she had no reason to forget.

But on that day, there were too many guests, and she was busy, so naturally, she didn’t have time to pay attention to her.

“A photo of my back?” Shan Yi arched an eyebrow, glancing at Shen Tiantian.

The photos were all taken by Shen Tiantian without Shan Yi’s knowledge. Sensing her gaze, Shen Tiantian quickly changed the subject, “Don’t just stand here, let’s go upstairs.”

Liu Wanjun frowned in disdain: “It’s all because of you. You don’t even answer the phone.”

Shan Yi and Lin Haozhi exchanged a glance. She asked: “Do you want to come up and sit?”

“No, I still have work at the company,” Lin Haozhi politely declined, glancing at the plastic bags in her hands, still dripping with water, and looking colorful.

Shan Yi was still as beautiful as he remembered, but it was the first time he saw her so casually dressed.

He chuckled, “I didn’t expect you to be together with my little sister-in-law.”

Shan Yi smirked, turning her head to look at Shen Tiantian and Liu Wanjun’s figures, “So what?”

“Take good care of her.”

Shan Yi replied quickly, “I don’t need you to tell me that.”

Liu Wanjun suddenly turned back and saw that they were talking about something she didn’t know. She waved to Lin Haozhi, signaling him to take care on his way, and then turned back to chat with Shen Tiantian without waiting for his response.

Looking at the time, Lin Haozhi said, “I should go.”

Shan Yi nodded, “Goodbye.”

Watching Lin Haozhi leave, Shan Yi quickly caught up with them.

Back at home, Liu Wanjun, as a guest, was waiting in the living room to eat. She had been to Shen Tiantian’s home countless times and was very familiar with it.

After putting down the groceries, Shan Yi’s hand, which had been tightly squeezed by the plastic bags for a long time, was now red, blue, and a bit numb.

As Shen Tiantian poured water for Liu Wanjun, she noticed Shan Yi rubbing her hand. Seeing the originally fair and tender palm now marked with blue and red, Shen Tiantian’s heart ached. She quickly grabbed Shan Yi’s hand and exclaimed, “I told you it’s heavy, let me carry some!”

Shan Yi didn’t say anything, her gaze lowered, showing a tender expression.

Shen Tiantian met her gaze, hesitated for a moment, and asked softly: “Does it hurt?”

Shan Yi smiled, “A kiss from you will make it stop hurting.”

Shen Tiantian rolled her eyes at her but still tiptoed slightly, kissing her lips and blushing: “Alright, it’s better now.”

Shan Yi’s expression darkened. If it weren’t for Liu Wanjun being there, she would have definitely pulled Shen Tiantian over and kissed her fiercely.

“It’s really not hurting anymore, so magical,” Shan Yi said in a low and hoarse voice.

Shen Tiantian’s face turned even redder, and she glared at Shan Yi in embarrassment. “Stop talking like that, the sun is about to set.”

Shan Yi chuckled and replied, “Alright, I can handle it myself. Go out and chat with your friend.”

“No need, Wanjun is not a stranger,” Shen Tiantian said leisurely, reminiscing about the past, “When I was still in school, they came over for dinner almost everyday. They are probably more familiar with this place than I am. But after I graduated, they all got promoted and became very busy, so their visits reduced significantly. Occasionally, they would come once or twice a month.”

“I think I’m quite lonely, besides them, I don’t really have many friends, and I don’t keep in touch with my classmates either,” Shen Tiantian laughed.

Shan Yi furrowed her brows, feeling a little itchy in her heart, “What about Lu Xiaochun?”

“She’s just a colleague,” Shen Tiantian laughed: “I started working at Yuefeng right after graduation, and I’ve been in the Marketing Department all this time. It took me almost three years to become a team leader. It’s not very impressive, right?”

Shen Tiantian said it lightly, but each word hit Shan Yi’s heart. She stopped what she was doing and pulled Shen Tiantian into her embrace. “Don’t you dare say that about yourself.”

Shan Yi had never known that Shen Tiantian had such thoughts. “I think you’re amazing.”

Shen Tiantian smiled sweetly, “So thank you for being willing to love someone like me.”

Shan Yi’s eyebrows furrowed, and regardless of who was around, she hugged Shen Tiantian tightly and kissed her passionately.
