CH 32

The next morning, Shen Tiantian woke up leisurely. The first thing that caught her eye was her delicate collarbone. As she turned to the side and glanced downward, she could see the cleavage exposed beneath the unbuttoned collar.

Shen Tiantian felt the blood rushing to her head. This scene seemed familiar, and she had to take a few breaths to prevent herself from calling out. Memories of the previous night gradually came back to her. 

Thinking about Shan Yi’s identity, Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

She took a step back and tilted her head slightly to get a better look at the sleeping Shan Yi. Her skin was flawless, with almost invisible pores even without makeup, and her facial hair was very light.

Unable to resist, she reached out and gently touched her face, which was so close. The smooth texture felt good in her hand.

Her hand slowly landed on her own lips, and her fingertips lightly tapped the rosy lips. Then she let out a soft, low laugh, not realizing that Shan Yi had already woken up and was looking at her with a smile in her eyes.

“Having fun?” Shan Yi chuckled, her voice slightly hoarse from just waking up.

Shen Tiantian was startled, blinking her eyes at her. Being caught in an act like this was so embarrassing.

Perhaps because she was frightened, a wave of nausea surged in her stomach. She couldn’t care less and hurriedly covered her mouth, got out of bed, put on her shoes, and quickly rushed into the bathroom. She bent over and vomited into the toilet.

Her empty stomach in the early morning only allowed her to vomit some sour liquid, but she still continued dry heaving.

Sounds of vomiting came from the bathroom, and Shan Yi was stunned for a few seconds before realizing that Shen Tiantian was experiencing morning sickness. She quickly pulled back the covers and got out of bed, following her without even putting on her shoes.

Shen Tiantian had a pained expression as she vomited, even worse than yesterday.

She walked over, one hand supporting her waist, and the other gently rubbing her back. Her face showed concern as she furrowed her brow. “Are you feeling any better?”

Shen Tiantian waved her hand, tilting her head and dry heaving a few times before managing to suppress it reluctantly. Her throat, sore from vomiting, became slightly hoarse. “I’m fine.”

She had gotten used to it.

Shan Yi’s face turned serious. “I’ll take you to the hospital later.”

Shen Tiantian was taken aback and smiled weakly. “I’ve already been to see the doctor. They said it’s normal.”

How could it be normal to vomit so severely?!

“I’ll freshen up first, and then I’ll get you a new toothbrush.” Shen Tiantian broke free from her grip, squeezing out some toothpaste as she spoke.

Shan Yi furrowed her brow and turned to leave the bathroom. She grabbed her phone and went to the balcony in the living room, closing the sliding doors. She dialed a set of numbers on her phone.

The call was quickly answered, and a pleasant voice came from the other end. “Where did you go last night? Why didn’t you come home?”

Shan Yi chose to ignore her words. “Mom, did you have severe vomiting when you were pregnant with us?”

“I didn’t have any vomiting when I was pregnant with you. I ate and drank well. It was your younger brother who caused a lot of trouble. Hey, why are you asking this?” her mom replied.

“Is there any way to alleviate it?” Shan Yi continued, furrowing her brow.

Her mom scoffed. “Morning sickness varies from person to person. What methods are there to alleviate it? Just eat a little more and it will get better after the first three months.”

Shan Yi responded, “Thanks, Mom.”

“Tell me quickly, are you asking so many questions because you’re pregnant? When did you start dating a boyfriend?!” Her mom wasn’t the kind of person with outdated views who meddled in her children’s relationships. Her daughter was already twenty-six years old, and she actually hoped she would find a partner soon.

“No,” Shan Yi felt a bit overwhelmed. “That’s not it.”

“Wait a minute…”

Shan Yi hung up the phone directly, cutting off whatever else her mom wanted to say, without feeling any guilt.

She returned to the living room and immediately saw a figure bustling in the kitchen. She casually threw her phone on the sofa and walked discreetly behind Shen Tiantian, gently wrapping her arms around her waist from behind.

“What are you cooking?”

Shen Tiantian was startled and almost dropped the spoon.

She turned her head and glared at Shan Yi, licking her lips. “What are you doing? I put the new toothbrush on the washstand. Go wash up quickly.”

Ignoring her protest, Shan Yi planted a firm kiss on her face and chuckled, “Message received, my dear wife.”

Whether it was because of Shan Yi’s address or her kiss, Shen Tiantian blushed deeply. Holding the porridge spoon, she made a motion as if to hit her and said, “Don’t call me that randomly.”

Shan Yi laughed, “Alright, I got it.”

Shen Tiantian snorted lightly and urged her, “Go freshen up quickly.”

Once she was sure that Shan Yi had really left, Shen Tiantian let out a sigh of relief.

After a night of sleep and another round of vomiting just now, her mind was clearer than ever.

She had accepted the fact that Shan Yi was an alien, but there was one thing that she cared about in particular.

She had been so exhausted last night that she didn’t have the energy to think about anything else.

Shan Yi mentioned that she had a mating period, once a year? If that was the case, how did Shan Yi manage her mating period before she met her?!

She had always known that Shan Yi was outstanding, and it was normal for her to have had other partners before. But whenever she thought about Shan Yi being intimate with someone else and doing those things, her chest felt tight and panicked.

Shen Tiantian furrowed her brow, realizing that she had stopped chopping the vegetables without even realizing it.

Shan Yi finished freshening up and returned to find Shen Tiantian lost in thought. She didn’t even notice her approaching. “What are you thinking about?”

Shen Tiantian snapped back to reality and shook her head.

She didn’t know how to bring it up.

She didn’t want her partner to think she was being petty, but it bothered her a lot.

Shan Yi looked at her deeply and smiled. “What do you feel like eating? I’ll make it for you.”

“Porridge.”

Her morning sickness was severe, and she couldn’t tolerate anything with a slightly stronger oily taste. She had to change her habit of eating soy milk and fried dough sticks to drinking porridge.

“Ok, you go wait outside.”

Shen Tiantian hesitated to speak, but in the end, she just sighed and went outside.

Shan Yi noticed her emotions but didn’t confront her.

They had only known each other for a short time, and there were many things they still needed to adjust to. Just what she had said last night would probably take some time to digest.

Looking at Shen Tiantian lost in thought, Shan Yi’s gaze dimmed slightly. She averted her eyes and started preparing the ingredients.

Shen Tiantian sat cross-legged on the sofa, her mind filled with random thoughts. She wanted to talk to her best friend about it, but it involved Shan Yi’s secret, and she was afraid that Shan Yi would get angry. In the end, she could only keep it to herself.

She turned on the TV but couldn’t focus on anything. She occasionally glanced at Shan Yi’s figure and suddenly felt a surge of resentment within herself.

There weren’t many ingredients left in the fridge. Shan Yi thought for a moment. Shen Tiantian was pregnant now and hadn’t been eating much these past few days. Her morning sickness seemed to be more severe. So, she decided to make red jujube and goji berry porridge.

She sliced the dried red jujubes and soaked the goji berries in water. After wiping her hands, she returned to the living room. Seeing Shen Tiantian pouting and lost in thought, she smiled and walked over, embracing her and giving her a kiss. “What are you thinking about again?”

Shen Tiantian glanced at her faintly, holding a cushion in her arms, remaining silent, and then shifted her gaze back to the TV.

Shan Yi sighed quietly, gently turning Shen Tiantian’s face back towards her own. Their noses touched, and she whispered, “What’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing,” Shen Tiantian mumbled.

“Tiantian.” Shan Yi called her name, her expression turning serious. She looked earnestly at Shen Tiantian and said, “We’re in a relationship now, and I hope you won’t keep things to yourself. What if you keep it all inside and it ends up affecting you?”

Shen Tiantian was momentarily stunned. She thought Shan Yi was blaming her, and suddenly felt a bit wronged, pouting her lips, which happened to brush against Shan Yi’s lips.

Shan Yi couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. She held the back of Shen Tiantian’s head, silencing her with a kiss.

After the kiss, Shan Yi hesitated to pull away, pressing her forehead against Shen Tiantian’s and whispered softly, “My heart will ache.”
