She was the most spectacular star in the Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College over the past year. In fact, she was so brilliant that she had outshone all of her predecessors in the Heavenly Star Hall.
The Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College had taken in many talented students since its inception. Even though they did not have a ninth-grade resonance student every generation, there were bound to be some eventually. In the crowded square, the warm sunlight fell onto the girl that had gotten countless secret stares from all directions. The faint glimmer of sunlight was like a veil of light around her body. Her curves were almost perfect and her delicate cheeks were like a sculpted masterpiece from the heavens. Everything was flawless.
Her long hair was tied up into a high ponytail, revealing both of her ears. At the same time, her long and graceful goose-like neck was displayed elegantly.
She wore the robes of the Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College. Her slender and straight legs were exposed, looking as if jade light was dancing around them.
The girl stood there calmly, not bothered by the many secret gazes. Her golden eyes gave off a deep and mysterious feeling as well as an indescribable charm. Anyone that caught a glimpse was sure to fall deeply into her gaze and wake up feeling ashamed.
She was such a perfect being. Who would dare to approach her?
As everyone's eyes were on Jiang Qing'e, she was staring at the stone statues in front of her. She was thinking about her own matters deep in her heart.
She slowly moved her feet until she stood really close to Jiang Qing'e. A look of satisfaction appeared on her cheeks.
The Light Chaser Beast loved pure-light energy the most. As the owner of this resonance, Ning Meng had inherited this love as well. Jiang Qing'e took a look at Ning Meng. Ning Meng was still chewing on the straw, revealing a flash of her white teeth.
"Little Qing'e, do you want to have some bamboo juice?" Ning Meng held out the bamboo cup in her hand.
Jiang Qing'e shook her head. "No, thank you."
"Oh!" Ning Meng nodded. She continued to gulp down the drink in large mouthfuls. "Can I stand here for a while?"
"Up to you."
Jiang Qing'e felt a little helpless about this. She knew about Ning Meng's resonance and easy-going personality. She was usually quite lazy as well, so she did not have the arrogance one might expect from the top-ranked individual in the college. As a result, Jiang Qing'e had a good impression of her.
Wei Chonglou smiled at the side and began to attempt to banter with the two girls yet again.
Jiang Qing'e frowned a little. The incessant chatting from Wei Chonglou was getting a little irritating.
When she noticed the frown, Ning Meng swung her hand down and clenched her fist. A dark-green rod instantly appeared in her hand.

Ning Meng held up the rod and said to Wei Chonglou in a serious tone, "Stop talking. If you don't, I will give you a beating!"
Wei Chonglou's voice was stifled immediately. The smile on his face froze.
He lifted up his hands helplessly and replied with a smile, "Alright. I will do as you say, Sister Meng."
Ning Meng did indeed have an easy-going personality, but it was not her harmless face that had helped her stay at the top of the Heavenly Star Hall for so many years.
