From April 6th last year to June 5th yesterday, I wrote almost a year and two months, with a total of 2.35 million words, which is much higher than my own estimate (expectation) of 2 million to 2.2 million words. In addition, the number of words will be more.

These days, the starting point does not show comments, but the author can see it from the background. I just went through everyone's comments and answered a few questions that may be of concern - why does the story stop here? How's the romance set up (yes, there's it again)? And a show?

In fact, the story does not stop, but the text ends here. My personal understanding is that the text is continuous in time and the plot is coherent, and the extras can jump out of time and pick some representative and meaningful things to write.

The last few chapters are the climax of the book, and the rest of the writing is nothing more than the daily life after the return to calm, the political intrigue, and the details of the establishment of the new order. As for the substantive changes brought about by the fusion of the magical world and the non-magical world, it will take time to ferment. If you move forward bit by bit according to the time line, it is not impossible to write, but it will make the overall rhythm of the story slower, tedious and boring. 'Boring' is something I've always tried to avoid, even the daily episodes, I try to write them as interesting as possible, put a lot of thought into them, and these routines have a clear purpose, like showing the protagonist from another perspective The things done, the ambush, the magic of showing the charm of the characters and the magic...

To the end of writing the book, I am the one who wants to write the ending of the story the most. It stops abruptly at the climax, leaving a lingering rhyme. At the same time, I put all the content that cannot be written into the main text in the side story, and fill in the foreshadowing. , some will be covered in one stroke, and some will be described in detail.

The second and third questions can be put together. Regarding the emotional drama, I thought about it again and again, and finally decided to put it into a separate extra chapter, so that readers who don't like it can skip it. The time of the plot is tentatively set five years after the end of the text (2003). This time point has a special meaning and is written about the beginning of the budding relationship between the two.

In fact, it is a bit similar to the last part of the original book - 'Nineteen Years After the End'. Compare this with the entire set of interrelated episodes that follow.

There may be more than a dozen episodes describing the appearance of the future magic interface. My current idea is to draw on the pov writing of Game of Thrones, that is, each chapter uses a different name as the title and main narrative perspective. The various changes in the future magic world will be shown in the future, and they will naturally intersect with other people. In this way, the perspectives are constantly changing, and finally the appropriate occasion is selected to bring these people together.

The above is the consideration of the extravaganza. If nothing else, starting from June 11th (next Saturday), we will update one chapter every day. The five days left in the middle are the margin the author has left for himself to rest, conceive the plot, and deal with the things that have been accumulated for a long time.

This book is difficult to write, and the more difficult it is to get to the back, but the difficulty lies in how to better present the story, not because of the psychological burnout caused by continuous writing. I like this story very much from the beginning to the end, I love this story , put a lot of effort into this.

I believe that no matter who it is, after thousands of hours of devotion to one thing, they all hope that this event can end perfectly and give the characters in the story a good ending.

I made a post on April 26 last year, which mentioned three key words about the writing style of this book: reasonable direction, original style, and foreshadowing. At that time, it was less than a month after the book was opened, mainly because I thought it was the best way to write it. I didn’t expect how many challenges it would bring me. I worked hard for the goal, and I consciously did not violate the original intention of publishing the book at the beginning - to write a magic story as authentic as possible.

In order to achieve this goal, I set limits for myself in the writing process, such as trying not to add new characters, but to explore the charm and more possibilities of the original characters; I do not open copies casually, and the content I wrote is in the original work and reference materials. There are traces to follow; the perspective is mainly on schools and students; respect for the original work; the pursuit of logical rationality... and the ambush.

Some foreshadowings were flashes of inspiration when I was writing, and I thought they might be used, so I just mentioned them casually, usually hidden in the dialogue or in a certain detail; there are also the events themselves that take time to ferment and turn, I am more impressed It's Hermione's..., from her idea, to Harry and Ron's reaction, Felix's guidance, writing the paper, talking to the kitchen house-elves, comparing the treatment of Ilvermorny goblins, establishing himself as Minister of Magic ideal, and the final pan-magic alliance. There are many chapters in the middle, and it is not a comprehensive idea from the beginning, but it is written and found: it can be integrated.

The consequence of paying attention to details and ambush is that the more you get to the middle and later stages of the book, the more time you spend thinking about the plot, which is much more time than typing. This is actually my deepest feeling after writing a complete story. The chapters that readers see are the results of the author's repeated weighing and thinking, and are the most suitable and most certain (not necessarily the most appropriate and most certain) from the countless development trends of the plot. the best. This is more clearly reflected in the seventh grade plot. The author racked his brains in order not to fall into various moral dilemmas and denied many ideas.

The effects of these constraints are not necessarily entirely positive, and they can also be problematic in their own right. But at least it helped me to write smoothly to the end, without breaking down or deviating from the theme.
