Chapter 28 - Attribute Multiply!

John is waiting for the man to get near him before he speaks up.

But then…

When the man was just a short distance away, he suddenly sped up. He rushed towards John like an angry bull ready to trash the kid before him.

The speed of the man is something that can't be achieved with just pure physical power. So there is a very high chance that this man is using his blessing. Meaning he has speed related blessings.

John was startled by the sudden happenings. He was not able to react properly and was only able clumsily jump away at the last second because of the speed of the man causing him not able to dodge properly.

*Crash*

John crashed at the baskets outside their house, making his landing safe.

The man stops at the entrance of the house, he turns to where John is and was once again going to charge after him.

There is a hideous smile on the man's face, showing that he is enjoying what is happening. It looks like he doesn't like speaking though, because since earlier he has not really let out a sound from his mouth even when he laughs.

John fixed himself up and looked at the man, he saw that the man was looking at him and was preparing to charge him.

Because this time John knows that the man is an enemy, he is now prepared to fight.

'What should I do?' thought. John knows that his agility stat is not sufficient to fight with this man based on the speed that he exhibits.

'Should I use it?' asked John to himself.

What he is talking about is his powers. John tried many things into his power multiplying money, or multiplying things. But he also wants to try to multiply something else. And that is basically just his stats.

Multiplying stats might be the right way to use this power for a fight. Imagine just multiplying your speed to three times. The fastest a normal human can go is about 45 km/h and that is about 10 stats points on agility. Multiplying that by three can go to 135 km/h.

It will be very fast even if you just multiplied it by two. It will almost feel like you're flying in your two feet with that kind of speed.

John then focused his mind on his agility status points and willed it to multiply by two times, 'Multiply!'

Then John felt it, he felt something flow inside him. It is the mana that is the source of power for blessings.

John looked at his attributes panel. He saw that his agility stat indeed doubled. The previous eleven stat doubled and became twenty two, the same as his attack stat.

Then John felt his speed, he felt happy that he discovered how he is going to use his powers in terms of fighting.

Move his hands and it moves so fast, but even though it is fast, he can still follow it with his eyes. This just means that his perception also increases to match his agility. And as he moved he felt his strength synchronizing with his speed giving more power and speed.

John looked at the man who was already charging at him and just a short distance away from him. The previously hard to look at speed of the man became bearable and John can follow it.

He smiled a little and waited for the man to get near. Then when the man is just an arm distance away(John's arm.. he's a kid), John suddenly puts all his strength into his right arm and jabs it towards the man.

And..

*Boosh* *Bam*

He slid down to the floor and stayed there. John looked at that and froze. Then he heaved a sigh of relief. He looks at the baskets that were wrecked around him and also at Sophia who is looking out from the door.

Sophia had a worried look on her face as she did not see what really happened. She only arrived on the doorstep when the man was flying away.

"What happened, John?" She asks, worry visible in her face and from the tone of her voice.

John nodded in her direction and said, "Yes, Mom. This is just… some problems. I will fix it." He said and placed the baskets littering on the ground properly aside. Then he looked at the unconscious man lying there on the ground.

He walked towards him with slow steps. In front of the man he crouches down. Poke the face of the hoodlum a few times to make sure that he is really knocked out.

After making sure that the ma. Is really down. John looked at his stats. And sign.

"A pity, this is not a permanent power up." He said and turned off the mana flowing on his powers powering it. And it cut off the multiplied attribute as it turned back to eleven again.

John looks at his mana and looks at the cost of the usage of that skill. He previously had a full mana tank which is 650 mana. But now it is on 595 mana. He only used that skill for a minute but it cost a lot.

He computed for a second and discovered that it cost 55 mana. It might be that it costs 5 mana per attribute per minute.

As John is checking his mana consumption, guards finally arrive. They only arrive now late as always.

"What happened here?" Asked the guard in the front who seems to be the leader or a guard leader.

People that witnessed what happened told the guards about it.

"Okay, we will be bringing this man to the cell!" Said the guard leader and ordered some men to apprehend the hoodlum.

After that, the guard leader approached John who finished his simple computation.

"Hello, kid"
