18 Mission!

After some time, Sophia calm down herself and ask John,

"Is this also all from you power?"

"That's right, mom!" answered John, feeling smug.

Sophia look at John with a very serious look, "John, you have to promise me. You will not tell that you can do this kind of thing to anyone, do you understand?"

With how Sophia speak, John learn of the seriousness of what he is in.

He thought of what could happen to him if ever someone with evil intention or just plain ambitious person know of his powers. Won't it cause him to be captured if that person is powerful, or maybe there is something out there that can steal powers. If that ever happen what is he going to do?

Well maybe the system can help him, but he need tokens to buy powers there and to get tokens he need to complete quest.

What if he ever need his power on a quest but his power is already stolen by others, what is he going to do.

He shiver at the thought of many possible things that can happen to him. And was only woken up from his thoughts by the voice of his mother calling to him.

"John" she look at his eyes with grave seriousness, "Promise me."

John then said, "Okay, I promise mom."

"That's good" Sophia said, "For now I'm going back to sleep."

"What about this gold coins?" ask John.

"We'll talk about it tomorrow."

Then she walk towards her room, mumbling some things that John can't make sense of.

Hmm... I should also get some rest.

John walk to his bed and drop down his body.

"Ugh...so comfy"

Then he close his eyes.

It is another brand new day. It is still early but people are already busying themselves with house works and all.

Some are sweeping the ground, while other cook breakfast and making coffee to energize their day.

John is awaken by the sound of ringing. But it's not an alarm clock, it's the sound of notification on the system inside his mind.

John keep his close and just laying on his bed his mind floating here and there. After a few minutes, John is fully awake.

The first thing he did is fixing his bed. He folded his his blanket and patted away the dust on his bed.

And then he proceed to brush his teeth.

As he brush his teeth, he look up to what is the notification about.

[Details: As the host wish to become strong. A mission has been issued. Reach 20 in all your attributes]

[Reward: 1000 tokens, 10 AP, 1 Intermidiate Magic Fruit.]

Seeing a mission issued fully woken up John. And it's not just one, But two mission!

John felt so happy and he is over the moon that he almost started jumping in joy.

Well... that is until he read the second mission.

His smile froze, and the smile on his face slowly bended as he felt unhappy.

"Tsk, how am I suppose to finish this!?" He said,

Then he open his attribute screen to look,

[Agi: 11]

Just looking at it and he know that he won't be able to finish that mission in just seven days.

"Ahhh, Damn. Even if I finish the first mission, the reward AP is not even near enough for me to finish second one. Arghh"

John almost pull his out because of frustration.

"Ahh, forget it. I'm not gonna think about it anymore for now."

As soon as he finish speaking, his stomach growl. Making his hunger known.

"I'm feeling hungry. Stop thinking, stop thinking. I'll just go and eat." and he walk to the kitchen.

Inside the kitchen, his mom, Sophia is preparing breakfast, which is egg, bacon and fried rice, there is also milk on the table.

Sophia put down a plate with rice on the table and look at the entrance of the kitchen.

"Oh, John you're awake. Come, sit down and eat." she told John to sit down as she continue preparing more food.

John walk to the table and smelled the food, "Hmm.. it smells delicious just like always!" then he sat on a stool.

When Sophia finish with the preparation of the table, she washed her hands first before going to the table.

As per tradition, they both close their eyes and Sophia spoke of word of thanks for the food.

After the prayer(?), John took a bit of the fried rice and he look elated. Then he show a thumbs up to Sophia,

"Its good as always, mom!"

And he continue eating.

Sophia watch happily as her son gobble down the food to the last grain of rice. Then she also started eating.

When they finish with their breakfast, John thought of something and said, "Mom, what do you think should we do with the golds on my room?"

Unlike last night where she panic because of the gold, Sophia look unbothered by it now as she said with a thoughtful voice, "Hmm.. Do you want something?"

"Well, I want nothing." John said, and took a sip of milk.

With John's response, Sophia can see that he don't look like he care about how the gold coins are use.

So she told him what she think, "Then, we can buy some things that are necessary for the house. But I think 1 Gold coin will be more than enough to all those that we need. Hmmm.."

She started thinking again of what they needed and what they are going to buy.

She was broken out of her thoughts by John's voice, "How about...we buy a restaurant for you mom?"

When Sophia heard it, she froze. And look at John. She always told John that she dream about having a restaurant. So she can see that he wants her dream to be fulfilled.

John continue, "And also, those gold are more than enough to build a restaurant, right?" he ask, "With that amount of Gold on my room, I think ww can use it for the rest of our lives, if not maybe half our life."

"Hmm..." Sophia bow her head down and only respond with a hum.

Because of that, John thought that she was not happy with him being without care about money, so he said, "A-and we can probably get back what we spend on a restaurant, if we open it."

Sophia stand up from her seat and walk to John, then she put him in her embrace as she smoothen his hair.

She started speaking with a calm voice, "You know John, I always question. Why are you so smart? And also how you always speak like a mature person when in truth you're just a 5 year old kid. Like now, you're already thinking about the return of the restaurant. Which I certainly know is not something a mind of a child will think of."

John who is lying on the embrace of his mother was first at peace but as Sophia go on. He notice that he really did not show the attitude of a real child. So, with that he became panicky, well only for a short moment as he heard Sophia continue,

"I know there must be a reason for how you act, and if you did not tell me about it, its fine. I will still be here for you. Because I am your mother and you will always be my previous son no matter what happens.

"Well, If you want to leave, of course i will let you. Are you going to leave me?" she ask with a laugh.

John felt a little teary hearing the sincere words of his mother.

So he hug back and said, "You are the best, mom that I could ever ask for!"
