Chapter 8 - A Spark

Ulquiorra is startled awake, casing his surroundings all he sees is nothingness, his soul based mind and body interprets it as nothingness. A human would lack the understanding or ability to see anything but black. Ulquiorra suddenly is shot full of pure unadulterated free, his body feels a powerful/crushing pressure. He stands...floats in the endless nothing turning and twisting trying to find the source of this pressure and when he finds it, he wishes he hadn't. A truly massive red dragon stares at him, unblinking or breathing.

' Hello child of the empty.'

' Hello, large dragon...'

' No need to fear me, we both know I could have killed you with my presence alone if I wanted to. You would know me as Great Red, your mind intrigues me it would seem you had to allow me to enter. A conundrum as you are connected to the dream, my realm/domain.'

' Aaaaah I see, yes mighty Great Red I did have to allow you it is a blessing if you will. If you don't mind me asking may I please know how and why I'm here in the dimensional Gap?'

' Many reason, and no I don't mind I will list them for you.

1. Your coma connected you to the dream and by extension me.

2. The dimensional gap is the realm of the Infinite Nothingness, I do understand that way of describing it doesn't make sense terminology wise however your mind could not handle me making you feel the gap as I do.

3. The dimension you were occupying kicked you out as a powerful magic could not decide your age and your body would not allow you to be separated across dimension.

4. Due to factors 1-3 your body/soul determined that the gap was the most appropriate place to drop you.

A blessing you say, hmm from what?

I cannot feel one coming from any entity I know of.'

' All I know is it comes from a deity, I do not know it's strength or name.'

' Hmm it must be someone higher up on the spectrum then I, that narrows it down immensely I will ask around at the next meeting.'

' Meeting?'

'Us true version of deitys and entity of power meet such as the true Zeus, Odin, and I. Based on your reaction you know of me from the show Highschool DXD.'

'That's right, so there are true omniversal versions of deities and such.'

' Yes, you catch on quickly.'

' Am I forever trapped here? Great Red.'

' No when that magic is broken you will be brought back, and out of your month long coma.'

' I WAS IN A COMA FOR A MONTH?!'

' Yes, did you ȧssume I ment a small coma when I told you about why you were connected to the dreaming.'

'I guess I just didn't process it, you are dropping alot of previous unknown knowledge on me.'

'Understandable, anyway given your current strength and the fact that I like you. I will gift you with something, I feel my blessing will be unwelcome or unwanted so instead I will boost your current powers with a special something.'

' Goodbye and see you soon Child of the Empty.'

Ulquiorra suddenly feels a deep, harsh pull and he is ripped away from the gap landing back on a hospital bed.

*Gasp*

Ulquiorra clutches his ċhėst and falls back unconscious once more.
