106 She was sizing him up

"This is my niece, Johanna Lim, she is Mary's, ahm, my daughters' best friend and cousin" Elder Lim introduced Johanna to George.Seeing the man raised his hand, Johanna can't help but sized him up, so this is the man that wanted to change the plan she had with her nieces' party, hmmm, but he doesn't look too bad, in fact, he looked good for his age.Then she hesitantly raised her hand and shook his but she took it as fast as she touched his hand, she seemed to electrocuted by that simple touch of skin.What was that about?

She looked up questioningly at George which was not bothered at all by the slight contact they just made, perhaps it was just static, she thought to herself.Little did she know that George also felt the shock the moment their hands shook, but he did not bother to show it on his face.

"Nice to meet your acquaintance Miss Johanna, and Elder Lim.My sister Fatima is upstairs, she cannot go down for the meantime since she just finished her medication and is a little dizzy." George can't take it any longer, he stood up "Can I please speak to you privately Miss Johanna?" then he helped her with her chair, although she was startled by the sudden request, she was stubborn enough to show that he had startled her.

"Miss Johanna, I don't want to be rude" George started to say after entering the study, "but do we have a misunderstanding? I feel that you have a dislike towards me." then he offered for Johanna to take a seat at on of the couches while he remained standing.He doesn't want the other family members to notice their absence from the dining table so he wanted to get directly to the point."Yes and no Mr. Son.That's all I have to say, you need to figure it out yourself, you are a smart man." then she turned to leave but she remembered to say something, "I also apologize if I was rudely staring at you, it's just that....." she did not finish what she was saying again then left the study to go back to the dining room.
