Nami was sitting outside with Hugo. Omega walked up the path and sat down at the table. Hugo sighed and waved.

"How are you?"

"I don't know."

"How is she?"

"I don't know," Hugo took a drink, "It's been like 20 minutes."

"Bah, don't worry, Sona and the Nurse are taking care of her."

"I know, but I am a little worried, I hope everything is fine."

"They know what to do."

A few months later, he arrived in Demacia, "Halt! What business do you have entering the city?" A guard shouted as the four gate guards lifted their guns pointing at Hugo, "Speak."

"I came to participate in the competition that your leader sent to Bilgewater," He responded as he held out a letter and a guard walked up to grab it, "See for yourself."

"Ah, I see, you are here to fill that 32nd spot, enter the city and go down the street and turn left when you see Palace Road, you shouldn't miss it," The guard said as the gate opened, "Good luck, you will be fighting the most talented of Demacia and Shurima as the underdog."

"Thanks," He said as he walked into the city. A small layer of snow covered the roofs and the floor. The city made Bilgewater look like a country town. The houses were larger and taller, it seemed like a place where only the fortunate lived. He looked at the signs on the street. He turned onto Palace Road. The morning sun's light beamed off the snow and made the buildings glow. The streets were still empty, he walked until he arrived near the palace. Who could really need this type of palace? The building overlooked the city and rose high into the sky. One of the guards made snapped him back to reality.

"Can I help you?" He called seeing Hugo looking up at the palace.

"The guards at the gate told me to come here."

"Why so?"

"I received this letter about that competition that you are organizing, so I came."

"What banner do you carry?"

"I am Bilgewater."

"Ah, yes the 32nd fighter, come I will bring you to her majesty."

"So this is the Bilgewater fighter?" She said leaning down onto her hand with her legs crossed, "I expected something a little more, you know, impressive."

"When the fight comes, you will be impressed," He grinned, "I don't even have to use half my power to win this."

"Cocky, aren't we?" She laughed, "I am Esral, the queen of Demacia, who are you?"

"I am Hugo of Bilgewater."

"So what makes you special? What makes you think you are not going to die against the best of Demacia and Shurima?"

"That is a secret I cannot share," He said as revealed his blade, "But, let's say I am more than meets the eye."

"I will have a room for you in the palace," She said trying to be calmly, but her eyes showed a different message, one that Hugo couldn't pick apart, "One of my servants will bring you there," She snapped and a servant stepped forwards and opened the door, signalling to Hugo that he pass. Once he left, Esral turned to her advisor.

"I want to see every single one of his fights," She whispered, "I need to know more about this, Hugo."

"Yes, your majesty."

"Stop calling me that," She said as she got up, "Since the competition starts today at noon, I would like to talk to him before."

"I shall go get him."

"Do that now," Her cheeks pinkened, "Bring him down to my room."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Thank you for your presence Hugo."

"What is this about?"

"Sit down, I would like to get to know more about you," She said gesturing to the chair, "What do you do in Bilgewater?"

"I am part of the military."

"Is there a lot of training? Do you workout a lot?"

"More or less, since we began the Noxian invasion, we started to train more and more."

"Are you the strongest of Bilgewater?"

"Not really, my father is stronger, but he didn't want to leave his wife alone for such a long time."

"I see," She said, "Well, hopefully the men don't intimidate you, they are a little more to the eyes then you are."

"Like you?"

"What do you mean by that?" She said looking offended, "What thought brought that up?"

"The small pinkness on your cheeks, that is now a little red-ish, what did I do to make you blush?"

"Nothing, nothing, don't bother," She said, "Maybe you should go see the arena? Maybe you will even see your opponents."

"You will watch I assume."

"Yes, even if I hate this weather, at least it isn't snowing anymore."

"It doesn't bother me much."

"Come with me, I will go with you to the arena."

"If you insist," He said as he got up, "Do you do this with every fighter?"

"No, but you see, first impressions are important, and, um, this is the first time we receive someone who is Bilgewater, so, um, I wanted to make sure that the, um, image of Demacia is fulfilled," She stammered, "How about we go?"

"After you."

They soon arrived in front of the arena, the guards moved to open the door as she passed, they bowed as she passed in front of them. Hugo followed her into the arena and into the opening. There was a large, stone circle. There were other men warming up around the arena. A large board had a list of the first fights.

"Here we are," She said, "To let you know, I will be sitting there."

"I'm glad to hear that, are these the men that I will be fighting?"

"Yes, you will be matched up against the Demacian strongman, Gyon, the strongest man in the world."

"Glad to hear, do I have to kill him?"

"I decided that, but maybe you will or maybe he will kill you."

"That second option won't happen, where is he? So that I can meet him before the fight."

"He is the mastodon over there," She pointed at a monster of a man. Hugo walked over to him. He was warming up. He stopped when he noticed Hugo.

"What do you want?"

"I am your opponent for the first round, so I came to see what I was up against."

"Ha ha ha!" Gyon said as he leaned over to get to Hugo's level, "Who can you beat me? I am the Demacian strongman, the strongest man in the world!" He got up and flexed his biceps, "You are but an ant to me, I'll crush you and win this tournament, no one can beat me and especially someone of the likes of you."

"Enough trash talk, do you fight with a sword?"

"Ha ha ha! I fight bare hands, I don't need a sword, I'll crush you regardless."

"Okay," Hugo said as he took a drink, "Let's see if I am going to have to kill you."

"No, I will kill you."

"Good to see that you are as cocky as I expected," Hugo said walked away, "Good luck, you are going to need it."

He walked over to the stone platform and sat down on the side. He shook his head. Esral walked over to him. She sat down next to him, "Can I help you?"

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah, he will be in no way the hardest opponent I have fought."

"Have you fought stronger foes?"

"Way stronger, do you see this scar on my neck?"

"Yeah, who did it?"

"I can't speak his name, let's just say he wants my head, maybe even godly."

"Well then, the fight should be starting soon, I will go up to the stands so good luck," She smiled as she got up and left. Hugo stood and climbed onto the platform. I wonder how Cass is doing, well, my entire family is doing. A small crowd began filling the stands. He looked around. A lot of people here. Soon after a man walked onto the platform.
