Chapter 105 - next step

"your professor silly!" she had said and everything around me seemed to go still for a movement.

i could no longer hear max panicking and telling luna to not do this

"did the world usually look this blurred?" i wondered

i seemed to have wondered it out aloud as max had placed his hand on my shoulder which seemed to have broken whatever spell i was under.

that's right i should not be panicking right now, that what you do after all this is over.

it had taken me far too long to realize that luna had hung up a while ago.

"cleo? any chance you traced where the call had been made from?" i asked hopfull

"what! do you think i am some amateur! of course i traced it when you were talking to her"

"good, because she didn't really tell us the location of her secret base.

"i feel like you will not like her "secret base" " Cleo said

"where is she?" max asked looking a little uncomfortable. judging by his face i would say that he is thinking she is at our apartment or someplace like that.

"she is at your old secret apartment hideout thing," she said

"that actually sounds perfect," i said feeling confidence rush through my body

"it does?" asked the surprised max and cleo at the same time.

"yup, think about it max, we already know that place like the back of our hand. this is a huge advantage for us but we have to be careful we don't know if she stumbled and found it by accident or if this is all big trap"

"the latter seems like the more obvious option" max said and we obviously agreed

"alex? "

"yes?" i asked

what else could possibly happen?

"anna wants to talk to you. she said she found something about luna- i mean terra"

that actually sounded like good news but i felt like that wasn't all

"i also found some info on luna. i really hope that you are wrong this time"

"so do i" i said

because if i was right then we were in deeper trouble than what we signed up for.
