Chapter 102 - it's only 8 in the morning!

saying that everything was going wrong was an understatement and it's only 8!

"max, would you mind letting me go now. they put out the fire like ten minutes ago" i said.​ ​

he let me go and i saw the way his face became bright red.

i rubbed my wrist, where there was a new bruise because of being held down. i really should stop forgetting about his strength.

seeing me rub my wrist, max whispered sorry.

i saw him and, he looked like a kicked puppy. i didn't know who was more of an open book him or anna.

"i am alright. it looks worse than it really is. see" i said rotating my wrist. there was a bit of pain but i made sure to not show it on my face.

he seemed to believe me and looked a little relieved

i immediately commanded him to find out the situation from the police without their knowledge.

i was glad to find out that the earpiece had not broken when max had pinned me on the ground.

"cleo, location of Chris and sam"

"they are safe with jack at the cafe right now"

"good". at least they were safe. for now.

"Anna?" i asked

"with miss jasmine," she said and i could feel her smirking just from her voice

"is that supposed to make me feel better"

"nope" she replied in a sing-song voice.

"and where exactly are they?"

"moving"

"what?" i asked

"They seemed to be moving from one place to another."

"great" i g.r.o.a.n.e.d. just what i needed.

"what about you" i asked

she chuckled a bit before saying, "i am at home so no need to worry. guarded by the best defence system made by me and max helped a little."

i smiled. everyone was safe now we just have to fight back.

"cleo, i want you to find someone for me"

"sure thing boss. so who do you want me to find"
