Chapter 75 - Day 1

on the way to the diner I couldn't stop thinking about what James wanted to talk to me about. I realised that he was a weird person when jack would tell me stories or adventures as jack would say. when I finally met him it only further confirmed the fact that he was weird. James always looks like he knows something yet acts like he knows nothing. it was because of James that I and max met cleo and also the person who asked us if we wanted to become USD members.

it was the first day of school and I was late (who would have guessed). I ran but when I reached I had already missed the opening ceremony. I didn't mind because I am sure I would have been chatting with max or sketching while they talked. I knew I was in class A whereas max in class C so before I went to my class I took a quick peak inside max's classroom. 'Odd' I thought to myself because ma was not inside the class. I know he was not late because he was so excited last night and told me that he was going to go early just in case. And max's early is like an hour early so there was no way he was late. I assumed that he went to the restroom or got lost, after all this was their first day in the school. I was sure max could take care of himself and knowing him he probably on the way to class saw a teacher who needed help and helped them. I finally reached my class and entered. The room was identical to class C. More than half of the seats were already filled. I sat at the table at the corner of the room. 'Today is the first day of middle school so how the hell does everyone already have their own friend groups' I thought to myself. I wondered if I should go and search for max but thoughts were stopped when a purple haired girl towards my table.
