Chapter 73 - two letters

efore I could begin reading either of the letters I quickly kicked the head under the bed. I laid on my bed looking at the two letters.

I have to read it sooner or later I thought to myself as I opened brother's letter first.

dear Alex,

I called to inform that I have sudden work which I can't escape from. I am not sure how long I will be away. I left the money in the usual please and informed max when I was leaving.

p.s. I might have by accident eaten your ice cream which was in the freezer (you might want to label it next time)

I crushed the paper and threw it at the wall yelling, "I DID LABEL IT! YOU IDIOTIC BROTHER!!".

I tried to calm myself. it wasn't working.

I opened the other envelope (this letter can't be worse than the previous one)

Dear Alex,

hope you liked my surprise. you can call that a fair warning that this is serious and that I plan to win this game. let's go over the rules for the game shall we. you can use any amount of human resource as long as you don't ask help from the police, detectives and media. if the person is not killed by me on the specific day then I will accept the defeat but if I win and you lose you can no longer interfere and I will kill all the ones who had previously escaped. be sure to follow the rules or else you might be my next target.

I took my phone from my pocket and sent a message to ace saying that he owed me icecream. then I called cleo.
