Chapter 253 - Ran's Limelight

Just dropping by for an important announcement. Before that, my name is Ran. I'm the writer of World after Worlds. Creator of Yanarym and the rest of the characters and the worlds. Yeah… hi. Glad to have you here, mischievous Reds!

First of all, I would like to acknowledge everyone for staying with Yanarym throughout the three worlds. It is not the end though. As you can see the fourth world is just starting to get published—.

Anyways, Let's try to get to the bottom of this…

I will tell you the World after Worlds and Yanarym's history, the reason for existing, the character's inspiration, and where did each world's idea come from.

I've been in reader's mode from November 2020 until February 2021, from fluff manhwas to rated 18 Chinese raw novels. Then, I got dissatisfied and horny. So, I started writing 'World after Worlds' by March 2021 for fun. It was after I read "Being Papa'd Every Time I Transmigrate" by caffeine. Yanarym's character was inspired by the female lead of that novel, Ruan Jiaojiao. However, Yanarym's character design was based on a person I know... But I made sure that even though they are similar, they are not the same. I hope you get what I mean.

Regarding the novel that triggered me to write WaW, I really liked it but it was not enough. After all, I am just a young hot-blooded human like everyone else. So, I did my very version of fantasy-erotic-romance-adventure to satisfy my lust. Lol.

'World after Worlds' is my first English novel. This was not written in English at the beginning, I was intending to write it on Wattpad in my nation's language in Filipino.

The reason why 'WaW' ended up in Webnovel and was translated to a language I am not used to, was because of the WSA contest. Unfortunately, I will not win that, yet, because of that, I decided to pursue my passion in writing after being contracted.

I'm actually pessimistic when it comes to myself. I thought 'WaW' would not get much attention. So, after getting contracted and establishing the privilege thing. I was so surprised when someone purchased the highest tier. I told my friends, "someone really spent money on my shits." That night, was when I realized, It is not shitty at all. I wrote a pretty good damn story! But there's something wrong with it.

As I mentioned, this was not originally written in English. I am from the Philippines, my mother tongue is Tagalog. I can speak and write English but I am not very fluent and I am not a professional writer either. I write Tagalog short stories for fun—I studied Chemical Engineering—I dropped out of college though. I was planning to get back this year enrolling in Psychology but I changed my plan again. I want to pursue writing novels. Anyways, why is Ran blabbering so much? What is this all about? We don't want to hear stuff about yourself, just update!

...please keep reading...

August 2021, I published the "second version", the English version. The first version was the Tagalog version.

When I first translated WaW, it was such a disaster. I shared it with my friend—she liked criticism and I was sizzled—she did not read WaW. Her reason was, the grammar and errors were all over the place. She offered some help and I paid for her assistance. She edited the first ten chapters of the first world, then the first two chapters of the second world, and the seven chapters of the fourth world. Then, I did the rest.

As you all have already read, there were still too many grammatical errors, typos, and it's just chaotic. I am not even sure how my very first readers managed to understand the first translated version. Even I, the 'writer' after re-reading it, was too ashamed to call myself the writer. My low self-esteem dropped at rock bottom. I am a big-time sucker in English literature or grammatical rhetoric. But I dream of becoming a writer... Well, I guess it isn't a dream anymore. I am one. Right now. Not professionally. Still. I am one.

Anyways, a confession. I DON'T LIKE READING ENGLISH NOVELS. I like pictures. I like manga, manwha, webtoon, webcomics, movies, Tagalog Wattpad stories, anime... Except for reading English novels. So, about the basic rules of writing a novel, I don't have any idea. I would rather solve equations and analyze problems than be in literature. But! I love imagining stories in my head, especially in romance and actions. I like dreaming as well, so I sleep a lot— I daydream most of the time… my friends used to call me a freak from spacing out in my own world.

So, my point is, sometimes I want to materialize those stories in our realm to share them with anyone. Just to say that they existed. My talent is only portraying those scenarios in my head. Not conveying them grammatically. Believe me, when I say, I also suck at writing in my very mother tongue language. I'm just not good at words!

I want to be better. I want to be good enough. I want my stories to be worthy of anyone.

I will be polishing worlds 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and publishing it on hardbound as a gift for myself. If it becomes an actual book, I could say, it will become proof that the 20th year of my existence on earth was not spent on useless things. This is lowkey advertising if I plan to sell it… but not yet.

I will edit the entire five worlds worthy of every cent you spent. (I am still amazed that there are people who would buy the privileges; thank you m00nah, Macxoxo2, and Chyleah) (I feel so appreciated with Heane)

The changes that World after Worlds will undergo this year, 2022:

•Each world will consist of 150 chapters. (It would be a gradual change, maybe after the 4th world the first three worlds would be revised.)

•Challenges and Rewards will be removed. (Since revising, editing and all will take me some time I can't do the rewards because I have to save chapters for privileges.)

•This book will consist the beginning of Yanar's adventure. (Originally, my plan was ten worlds. But I decided to settle for five worlds in this book; 1. Brightest Star, 2. Hara, 3. Miss Officer, 4. Azkin's Curse, and 5. Honey Trap)

I will be needing some alpha readers as well.

You can participate in being one. What are they? They are the readers who have to read the advanced chapters that will be published months later. However, of course, because it is the first draft, they have to read an unpolished and very messy version. They can give comments and suggestions to change the plot or characters. They have to answer some basic questions from their reader's perspective as well. For example, "is this paragraph too confusing? Is the character portraying sly or sweet as I am intending to make them as one?" Tell me if my spelling is wrong or if the words I used were too inappropriate, or something like that.

If you want to be my alpha reader. No requirements are needed, just you and your time, and thoughts too. If anyone was willing to waste their time with me and share their opinions regarding 'World after Worlds', please contact me at:

Anyways, some might be asking, "Just five worlds? What about the other five worlds? You said it was originally ten."

The sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth worlds will be published in different sets of books. Unlike the arcs in this book, which will contain 150 chapters, the sixth to the tenth world will consist of 300-500 chapters each. It depends though… because the plotline is bigger and the characters will be huge in number, the chapters have to increase. Yanarym's harem will be larger in number and I promise that the interaction of each male lead is more dynamic and interactive.

For example, in the sixth world, "Crown of the King", I may write 500 chapters for this arc alone. Yanarym will have five lovers. The adventure will be in detail and not summarized. Those five will have their own moment with her. Not just sex scenes—

So, H-scenes, regarding this, I will do my best to explore porn sites, read Rated18 novels to gain experience. Nonetheless, you can't expect anything from a physical virgin writer. I'm just a dirty-minded person. And I am certain that I can't get devirginized in the near future because I will be rooting in my room. Focusing on my newly chosen career because my mom is not happy with what I decided, I should try to prove myself to her. I hope everyone can understand my situation.

The first world, third world, the fourth, and the fifth world were based on my dreams. DREAMS WHEN I SLEEP, alright? Not daydreaming. I write the general idea of that dream and outline it to become the world! Charan! New world!

The second world was mainly inspired by a television series on the Philippines, "Amaya". In fact, I want to write some more stories regarding my country's history but that would be later on.

The sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth worlds also came from my dream. It was so cool when they happened and I witnessed them. I will share those with everyone as well. So, I hope when I come back you will be there.

Characters design:

Alyx was inspired by the most common characters of the male leads that we often encounter in the romance genre. Women always loved fictitious men that are domineering, powerful, handsome, charismatic, rich, and tall—possessive? They are just like that.

Alvan's name came from a real person, but I somehow managed to make two totally diverse personalities. The real Alvan is emo, but charismatic—Alvan in this novel was very loud and extroverted… ಠ‿ಠ I don't even know how he became like that.

Did I mention that Yanarym's personality came from a real person too? Well, Kane's design is Yanarym's dream person. The real person. Kane wasn't supposed to be part of the first world, he just—appeared.

Alyana… was like Alyx. The most common heroine type that could ever be found in many romance books. But as I get to the ending, I think her character swerved too much from how I expected her to become.

Lapil's name came from a pencil. The story was when I was outlining the plot for the second world. I was pondering a soft-hearted kind of name in ancient times. In my nation's language, the pencil is called " lapis ". Then as I wrote the names, I accidentally wrote "Lapil", instead of "Lapis", idkw, I think my head was in the clouds at that time.

Maki was supposed to be not a male lead. But I don't why when I was writing his interaction with Yanaryn they ended up having sex…

Achim was one of Yanarym's crushes. The Yanarym in our actual dimension. I mean, Yanarym's character imitation. Alvan was also one of her crushes. I know I will add many more names of her crushes into this novel. I am thinking if I should become one of the characters as well. Should I become Guide-sama?

Guide-sama: "No."

Ran: "Hahahaha!"

Yanarym: "..."

Tala's character was inspired by a strong-willed woman. She was smart, fierce, and independent. However, she was just unlucky. Actually, I love her character. But I love Yanarym more.

Movu's name, I stumbled on it way back in 2018. I was inviting my friend to watch a movie at the cinema. I typed "movu" instead of "movie". I said I will someday make a character named Movu in one of my stories. Here he was.

Yazeno and Yashnile. I had a hard time thinking of a name that starts with the letter "Y" to match up with Yanarym's starting letter on her name.

Lawrence was supposed to be called Marshall—which means police enforcer—but I changed it to Law, it sounded better for me.

Cailly, in all honesty, I did not have any thoughts of her character. Because her role was not supposed to do anything at all. She was a good person, good people sometimes… they are not reappearing on scenes too much. They don't do a lot. It's the villain characters who would always steal spotlights.

PRIVILEGE!

Regarding the privilege, the maximum price of the tier would be based on how many words it contained. For example,

Tier 3 | 20 Chapters | 1500 words/chapter = 30,000 words = 3,000 coins.

So, that is everything. I am wishing to see you soon. Drop questions, or some advice, thoughts in the comment section. Share? And rate 5 stars!

Guide-sama: "Rate 5 stars."

Yanarym: "...you don't have to but, you did like it, right?"

Ran: "Don't be shy. Rate 5, not 4 something but 5."

Yanarym: "Ran will compensate. If Ran still sucks, just kill yourself Ran."

Guide-sama: "Please, Just rate 5 stars for the sake of the shameless writer with the shameless female lead."

Ran and Yanarym: "Shut up."

I hope that you can rate World after Worlds "5" stars to attract other readers. We all know that no one prefers books that are not 5 stars. I will do better in return! I will work harder!

Am I trying to bribe you–is that the term or something else? Yes? Maybe not? Hahaha. What I'm saying is, please give "World after Worlds" a good review. I prefer sugar-coated lies. Since this is the season of sweets, let me have a taste of it.

Ran: "Ciao, naughty souls."
