Chapter 233 - UNCOMFORTABLE

"Yes, the meeting was over." Yanarym nodded her head, she quickly glimpsed Lawrence that seemed to be brewing dark clouds. Movu saw that Yanarym was troubled with the situation, but he didn't want to make it easy for her.

Like how Lawrence doesn't want to converse with Movu, Movu doesn't want to interact with him too.

"So, are you like the boss?" Yanarym asked, Movu shrugged his shoulders.

"Let's see, technically my father is the boss and I'm like the heir in training. How about you, what do you do?"

"I'm… well, I was a police officer but my boyfriend is here, and my brothers don't want me to continue my career."

"A police? That was kind of lame?"

"What? Lame? No, it's not."

"We know the police do nothing Rym." Lawrence who was trying to stay quiet could stay silent when he heard Movu disgracing his profession.

"I'm a policeman, we risk our lives to save people. You call that lame?" He dryly intercepted, Movu wasn't affected and smirked.

"The life you saved, you say, don't kid with me, it's not a police person who saved Yanarym's life we were shoved out from the department of justice back then." The room's atmosphere dropped to zero so that Yanarym couldn't pretend it was nothing.

"Movu, stop..." they were quiet for minutes, two men glared at each other with darkened expressions.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to ridicule your job or Lawrence here, Rym." Movu sighed and shifted his warm eyes to her. Lawrence didn't say a word and kept on pressing ice to Yanarym's wrist.

"Besides your job, tell me what happened when we parted."

"So, ahm, my older brother fetched me at the police station. He's Yashnile, we call him Nile by almost everyone. He was with Yazeno, my younger brother. Then we had lunch together, and when we got home I found out I have a sister. She's the same age as me, you know what, we have the same birthday too… "

The whole time Lawrence was silent, he didn't want to converse at Movu any longer, while the Yanarym were talking about her past and present to that guy. He was silently observing the two, Lawrence had no way but to pretend okay with everything.

They seemed like they had always been together and he was astounded how Yanarym was so comfortable with him. He's been with her long enough that he could tell if she's forcing herself to associate with people or if she really is going along with them. What made him vexed was how intimate they are, like it was their casual thing. And this Clarence or Movu was not considering his presence and laid his entire attention to Yanarym, his girlfriend.

Dinner's done, Lawrence insisted that they should head back to their room. In addition to that, he takes back what he said, giving her a separate room where she could rest. With his current mood, Yanarym didn't say anything and quietly obeyed him. Upon entering their room, he headed to the bed and prepared their suitcase.

"What are you doing?"

"We're leaving."

"Leaving?"

"This vacation, we will go to another ...another country." Yanarym paused, then laughed.

"Law, stop being outrageous. We just met Movu, I'm not leaving." He didn't reply instead he halted his movements and stared in a daze at the luggage. Yanarym silenced too.

"That's why we're leaving because he's here." He said in a dry tone. "I don't feel comfortable that you met him."

"...why? That's not so you. Are you jealous? You never got jealous---"

"I am always jealous, Rym. But I didn't show those moments to you. I became anxious that you would abandon me… what now? He came back. He's your first love, right? The one you promised to be with? What will happen now? You will break up with me? Will you choose him? That's not the case, is it?" Yanarym was not ready for this confrontation.

She knew that Lawrence was always frank but she didn't expect that he'd be like this too. She's not prepared to break his heart this early.

"Why aren't you answering me?" He asked nervously and walked in her direction. He stopped in front of her only feet apart. "Will you choose him?" She looked away and Lawrence's heart wrecked.

Her eyes tell him so. He knew what she would say, he knew that this would hurt him but he wanted to hear her lies. That she would stay. That she chooses him instead of that Movu.

"Rym."

"Should we break up?" He froze, his heart was being crushed, his body felt heavy and he was breathless. She stared straight into his eyes and there was no humor on it. He wanted to say a word but he couldn't say anything.

His eyes felt warm and misty, then tears fell from them, rolling to his cheeks. She didn't bat an eye. Her cold eyes didn't seem as affectionate as they were.

"I won't lie to you, Law. If you asked me questions like that, if you are making me choose between anything or Movu, of course, the answer and my choice would always be Movu." She uttered slowly.

"No." He shook his head. "You can't break up with me. You can't… l-leave me." He stuttered and reached out for her. He began crying frantically. "You can't Rym, you can't do this to me."

Yanarym didn't say a word or move a muscle. And now, she's the cold bitch? That must be it, Lawrence was the pitiful one because he's the one who's crying and begging her to stay and not the other one around. But he knew this day would come.

"Law..." He embraces her tightly. "I gave you the chance..." She whispered to him. "I tried my best, didn't I?"

He shook his head again, "You're mine. You are mine Rym. You can't do this to us."

"Lawrence."

"ENOUGH! I don't want to hear a fucking word!" He yelled loudly. Yanarym sighed, what a timing, is this?
