Chapter 186 - SAGE

"Men don't get to give women their value. You value yourself, and your worth is not based on how men- or other people see you." Yanarym uttered, Eizelle rolled her eyes.

"What you said is inspiring but that's not how the real world works, Rym. You're too idealistic, things will not always go as you wanted them to be." Jana said depressingly. "We don't get to choose, we don't have options."

"What are you saying? You can choose too, I told you, as long as you know what your worth is, you know what you deserve, don't settle for the less." Yanarym put her arms around Rachelle and Jana to cheer them up, "Also you're the lucky one because of the fact that they had seen your hidden charms… they must be observing you for some time. Isn't that romantic?" Patting their backs Eizelle sighed and shook her head when she saw that the two ladies were convinced by her glib tongue as the two blushed imagining Yanarym's statement.

"There she goes again, her sage mode. Can you win our arguments? It's three versus one, why do you always win?" Eizelle pointed out.

"Because I have a point." Yanarym shifted her attention to her and showed her killer smile. Eizelle felt her heart skip a beat with that gorgeous gaze. Even if a girl had this kind of reaction with her single glance, how about the men?

"World is not fair. Why can someone have it all?"

"Silly."

"I'll bet, the temporary instructor will make a move on her," Rachelle mumbled and Jana nodded her head in agreement.

"That's nothing new, any man who had the charisma and courage tried to hook her up. And for the record, none succeeded."

"That's not allowed," Eizelle said thinking about the possibility of teacher and student relationship.

"He's not permanent here. He could date her." Jana retorted and Eizelle seems to agree.

"How old is he anyway?" Rachelle looked up at her information and smirked.

"Twenty-seven."

"He's that young?" Jana was surprised. "A five years age gap is not that big. It's more sweet and romantic."

"The question is will I date him?" Yanarym cut them off and looked at the door in front of them. Eizelle opened it and they entered. Date the temporary instructor? That would not be a problem, yet, she doesn't want to get entangled with that person. After all, if it's not necessary, she would love to refrain from interacting with the male lead.

Lawrence Marshall, the male lead, had it all from the day he was born to the present. He had a different personality on the timeline of the book and his persona at this current timeline.

In the book, he was the most promising talent, a strict, serious, and notorious police officer. He could solve any case that was given to him, big or small. He brought justice to those who were in need and punished those who deserved it. Belong to the Criminal Investigation Unit, the captain of the squad. He was labeled as the bummer or the person who does not seem to know the meaning of the word fun. He was the boring type, when it comes to catching criminals, he would dedicate his life to catching them, he would turn into a total maniac if the bad guy was around.

By the time Cailly the female lead met Lawrence, they already had shifted their personality, by a hundred eighty degrees. The once sweet, docile, and demure female protagonist became a tough, strong-willed fighter yet always bullied because of her gender. CIU never had a woman in the unit, not because they restricted women but no one had lasted longer in there. For the record, Cailly was the only female who had stayed for a year but remained at the bottom of the pyramid. She was slaved, bullied, and mistreated by everyone yet she never gave up. Eventually, she got Lawrence to notice her but neither one was interested in falling in love. After all the book was not purely about romance but one the adventure of the main roles.

Presently, Lawrence is a successful man at a young age. He is intellectual, handsome, wealthy, playful, risky, adventurous, and very ambitious, also loved by anyone. He is very egotistical and he had to have everything he wanted, a playboy. He doesn't take anything seriously. Though he was a good detective, he was only interested in big cases, those 'significant and reputable' cases that would make him known in glory. That basically means, if he was not serving the big fishes, he would only take those that were famous and honored. That was what he is and maybe, what he would be. Because Yanarym had no plan on dying early for his love life progression.

In the original's memory, she didn't meet the male lead because she was starting to rebel and not attending her classes anymore. And here it goes, completely altered from the plot.

Everything will change. Although the book only mentioned the original from a few chapters only. She had the turning role to play in this whole story, the catalyst. Because the original was the catalyst of the entire event. From the point where she died, that caused everyone to change.

The female lead decided to continue the original's dream of becoming a policewoman. The male lead changed his personality from a happy-go-lucky detective life to a serious policeman. Then, the original's family who were mistreating and admonitory the female lead to the original's death. Up to Movu's revenge on the male lead and female lead. She caused it all, the original made that all happen after her death. What would happen if she didn't die? The plot would die instead, this book would collapse, no more Miss Officer.

Yanarym, even though she caused changes to the recent worlds, she doesn't want to ruin these good novels. She's drowned with fiction, perhaps not the fiction itself.. But to it's the purpose for her escape.
