Chapter 166 - TWO EPILOGUE

They made Datu Pita agree to take Hara Kaliya as his wife. For the next five months, Yanarym had to stay in the world since she was not done yet learning about the sword, it would take years but she was too eager to learn that she had shortened the schedule.

It was in the third month when Datu and Hara married each other. Yanarym shared with them the concept of a honeymoon, so they traveled around the island. The three men and she remained on the balay of Datu Pita, which became the puod at the present.

During that time she was frequently ambushed by the three hungry wolves. Her sex life was so active, she felt like she was the one who was on honeymoon.

By the time she had completed her tasks on learning swords, she had to leave this world. She made a plan on how to leave and it's not like these three men would let her suicide, so, she had to do it, accidentally. She will leave them, like a dream and nightmare.

That night, she gathered everyone in one room and announced her decision.

"Then, I think it's time for me to decide about my marriage," she stated. The three men were startled. She's been stalling this matter for too long now that she had mentioned it, they were surprised.

Then, it got sunk into them. Does this mean she had chosen her husband? They looked at one another. They were anxious, who was it?

"Baba and Dada Kaliya were happy together. So, I think it is reasonable for me to leave my Baba to his new wife and begin a family." She muttered and did not care about the reaction of the three that were currently surging in turmoil. "I should marry too."

"Can you pick one of us?" Achis asked with his creased eyebrows. Yanarym smiled at him.

"Of course, the answer is no. As you all know, I can't pick any of you. That's why I made this challenge, the winner of this game will also become my husband."

"A challenge?"

"A game?"

"The winner?" The three of them exclaimed, not sure or understanding what she was saying.

"Yes!" She smiled wider. "You are going to play a game that I will give you. The rules are simple, tomorrow, I will hike to the cliff by myself. Then, I will tell my Baba to watch the three of you at the start line. Which is the balay. On his cue, you will race. The one who gets there first will become my Bana." Yanarym observed their expressions, she couldn't help but smile.

"That's it?" Maki reacted, a race?

"Yeah, but you can't kill each other. It should be a fair fight. You only run to my location. The first one to get me, the one who would win."

"Which cliff?" Achis asked.

"Oh, that's the twist. It's all for you to find out."

"There are three cliffs here," Lapil commented.

"That's not my problem. You should know which one I will choose. After all, you will be marrying me. The husband and wife should have their brain connected, right?"

They could not refute.

"Do you accept?"

"How do you guarantee that we will accept the result?"

"You have to, you have no choice." She said it was a simple matter but it is not. For the three men, it's like life and death.

The day came and none of the three young men had a proper sleep. They were all agitated and were thinking deeply about which cliff they would run to. When the race was about to begin, Hara Kaliya and Rajah Pita were standing alongside one another, together with the people of the co-joint banwa.

"GO! GINOO! WIN THE LADY'S HEART! SHE BELONGS TO YOU!"

"DATU ACHIS! YOU CAN DO IT! YOU ARE MEANT TO BE!"

"MAKI! YOU GOT THIS! BAI YANAR! WILL MARRY YOU! MARRY YOUR LOVE!"

The crowd was hyped and cheering for their lord. But the three men were the most fired up, they still couldn't believe that this was her way to choose her husband. A race? What a peculiar woman.

"On your mark!" The Rajah Pita yelled. Achis, Lapil, and Maki prepared themselves. Before that, they even looked at each other like they were all staring with their eyes shooting electricity. "GET SET!"

"GINOO!"

"DATU ACHIS!"

"MAKI! MAKI!"

"GO!" As soon as Rajah Pita shouted at it, they ran into the forest. What was more surprising was that they were all running in one direction. Because of this, they had no choice but to accelerate their pace.

Sometimes, it was Maki or Lapil or Achis. They were all trying. Even though the forest was not a proper ground to run, they ran like Tarzan. No one was even tripping on the veins.

On the cliff, Yanarym was sitting on the edge while holding a flower in her hands. She's looking at the sea that was blue and wide. It's beautiful.

Her hair was dancing along with the wind and her feet were swaying in the mid-air. Below her, it was the calm but deep blue ocean. She was wearing a white dress that she made herself. Before she left, she had to look presentable for the three men. At least, they would remember her like a dream-like how she wanted.

Guide-sama: "Are you ready?"

"Kind of," Yanarym stood up from the cliff with no fear of falling. She tucked the flower on her hand to her ears and let the sea breeze and cold wind hit her body.

Guide-sama: "Are you sad?"

"To be honest, slightly." She mumbled and smiled to no one, this world she had stayed here in longer than she anticipated. And she remembered how she hated it when she realized it was a historical era. However, humans really know how to adjust to survive, don't they? She had grown a soft spot for this world.

She laughed, it's not like she had a very rough life in this world. She felt like she was an ancient princess. And traveling to history made her know things that she never had learned in school about her ancestors. So, the Philippines was like this before… huh.

Guide-sama: "Were you sad too when you left the first world?"

"Of course, I may be like this but these people left an impression on me. And what's more? They have really taken care of me." She replied and recalled that time when she had to leave the first world too. She was sad but just like today, she was ready to depart...

Guide-sama: "You can choose to stay."

"Nah, I wanna leave." She uttered nonchalantly and scratched her neck, "It's troublesome to stay." She added and looked up to the sky, it's blinding, she had to close her eyes.

Guide-sama: "Okay, whenever you are ready, just tell me."

"Do it after I say goodbye." She nodded and turned around and looked at the woods. This beautiful island, she will revisit at different times and different worlds. It's the Philippines, so this land exists.

Guide-sama: "Okay."

The three young men were approaching the vicinity. Yanarym was surprised that there were three of them who knew where she was. It's amazing…

She took a deep breath and smiled even wider looking at the three of them, "Goodbye," She whispered, on the cue, the cliff cracked on its own.

The three men who could almost reach for her saw the next scene. She was smiling beautifully out of the sudden she fell… in the blink of an eye. She vanished in front of them.

"YANAR!"

"RYM!"

"YANARYM!"

Yanarym felt her body hit the ocean, she looked up from the sunny sky, it's a good day to die. She smiled.

HI! EVERYONE! Ran here, (。•́︿•̀。)

I made a mistake in my own country's pre-colonial history. Prior to the Spanish invasion of my nation, the Philippines, I discovered that women possessed equal rights as men in all aspects of life. Even women have the opportunity to govern their tribe. They also do not regard women as "baby-makers" or anything similar. So the male characters' thoughts were all based on my perceptions of how things used to be, and they were incorrect...

So, how did I get into that situation? Our educational system, for example, does not teach us about our own culture—believe me when I say I had no idea how things worked previously. And, like Yanarym, I am not a history buff.

Everything I wrote about this other world was based on the history of other Asian countries that I had seen or read about.

That was an honest mistake on my part. Before I started writing historical fiction, I should have done more preparation.

Because I used to believe that EVERY HISTORY WAS THE SAME! However, I was mistaken. However, it was too late for me to change the second world, which is why this was made.

According to my knowledge, the Philippines' history was a shambles. The Spanish lasted for 300 years, but what about Japan or America? I'm not sure which came first, but America was the Philippines' ally. So, Japan, I believe.

After that, it was as if America invaded the Philippines after defeating the Japanese, resulting in another revolution and so on. If anyone would be asking how China is related to my country, back--- wayyyy back before Spanish Colonial. China was trading with my country, and we had adopted some of their cultures? I'm not sure, I'm sorry, I didn't study about it.

In the future, I will work harder and do better. cross fingers~
