Chapter 163 - AMBUSH

"You ANIMALS!" Hara Kaliya screamed at the top of her lungs throwing things she had her hands land on, from her place towards them. The heat-up moment of Rajah and Tala was deterred. Rajah Basi promptly shielded Tala from the things that the Hara was throwing towards them. But one had gone through him and hit Tala's head.

It caused her to bleed. Rajah Basi's eyes widened and his face turned red out of anger. "KALIYA! HOW DARE YOU!"

"HOW DARE ME?! HOW DARE YOU! YOU FILTHY BASTARD AND YOUR LITTLE BITCH!" She screamed louder and tried to attack Tala but was pushed away by the Rajah.

"DON'T YOU DARE HURT HER AGAIN!" Rajah Basi growled.

"FUCK OFF! I WILL KILL THAT SLUT!" She was shut up when the Rajah slapped her face. Her mind was in awe as she had received his assault. She couldn't speak a word and she started to cry.

"LOCK THE HARA AWAY! BEFORE I KILL HER!" Rajah Basi told the warriors on guard that entered the room. They saw the situation but the one who was in power was the Rajah and not the Hara.

"BASI --YOU BASTARD!" The Hara struggled to break free but was too weak to do so. She dragged off the room while she continued to scream. Rajah did not care about her, instead, he rushed to Tala and caressed her cheeks, examining her head that was bleeding.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. What about Hara? What will you do to her?" She asked, and Basi just gritted his teeth.

"Let me handle her. She should be punished for doing this to you."

"Can you do that? She's still Hara."

"Tala, I told you, I can do anything for you. Just rest, okay? I'll call the babaylan to aid your wound." He sweetly uttered and kissed her on her forehead before leaving the bed.

That night, the Rajah had taught the Hara a few lessons and told her not to do anything stupid if she want to stay alive. Hara Kaliya was so furious that she killed Rajah Basi in her mind but she remained quiet.

The next day, everyone was ready for the incoming war to launch at Datu Pita's banwa. However, upon voyage on the sea, some warriors ambushed some on the warships of Tala. It was Achis' soldiers along with Lapil.

After the ambush, they went straight to the Rajah's puod to commence their rebellion. It was a surprise attack, also, some of Rajah's warriors went to Datu Pita's banwa to assist Tala's manpower. They were outnumbered.

"Tala! Hide somewhere and we'll do something about this imprudent mangangayaw," The Rajah said as he thought they were being attacked by some random conquerors.

Tala did what he told her, she came with her most talented and trained warriors to hide in the forest but she was caught by Wakan and Tatop before she could even step out of the house.

"What are you doing?! Wakan! TATOP! I AM NOT THE ENEMY!" She yelled at them and held the swords that had fallen on the floor. With just a blink, Wakan made her fighters lose consciousness with a few punches.

Tatop sighed and looked at the Bai. "We're sorry Bai Tala but Ginoo told us to capture you."

"Ginoo? Lapil did?! What! LET ME GO!" She was easily immobilized by the two and dragged back to the balay of Rajah. She doesn't follow what's going on, but she is assuming… Lapil's rebelling?

"Are you rebelling against the Rajah?" She mumbled as she looked at the two that had already restrained her. Tatop smiled at her knowingly.

"Well, you can say that, but you are actually the target."

"Wa...What do you mean?"

"Our Bai, I mean, Bai Yanar had ordered us to do so. We are just following the order of our future Hara."

"What are you saying?! Umbo is not capable of controlling you!"

"You seem to be clueless in regards to how powerful your sister, Bai Tala, is," Wakan replied.

"What are you saying?!" Tala screamed, "YANAR IS UNDER MY CONTROL!"

Yanarym sneezed out of a sudden, Maki looked at her and rubbed her back. "You should get to the balay and wait, Datu Pita and I can handle this," Maki told her.

They are at the shore with the warriors to welcome the invaders that are coming to raid Datu Pita's banwa. Originally, Tala planned to sneak and assassinate Datu Pita, but it was changed into a full attack at dawn since she had the manpower of Achis and the Rajah, well, that's what she thought.

She had a really deep admiration for women who had fought their way from the bottom to the top. In simple terms, she likes Tala's character, but she had to cut her off this time. If Yanarym doesn't, she will suffer. It's a matter of survival, either one would be happy or just breathing. It's common knowledge regarding a story since she was the minor villain and Tala was the protagonist in this historical genre. It's either the villain or the main lead would die. Wait, can she even be called a minor villain? She bet she's just cannon fodder.

Anyways, upon having Achis on her side, she had completed the chess pieces of her entire board game. The pawns, the knights, the queen, the bishops, and the rooks. Once everything was already displayed, it's time to start the game. And the other player had made its move, it's her turn to counter.

And she will not accept defeat. She doesn't play any losing games. It's Tala's loss, her checkmate. Yanarym had predicted her every move, she couldn't escape. She silently apologized to Tala… this just had to happen.

"I have to be here, and Achis taught me. I could fight." She told Maki and sneezed again. Datu Pita walked up to her and handed her a blanket.

"Yanar, we know that you can fight but this battle is no joke."
