Chapter 128 - DEAL

"That's right Rajah. I wanted to inquire if the marriage between me and Lapil would be validated." Both of them had let the silence reign at the moment.

Marriage-- the Rajah contemplated, the marriage between his son Lapil and the first daughter of Datu Pita was barely compact. Since, both Pita and Ara don't want to entangle their angelic daughter to the surge of power and war. However, due to the Hara and Rajah's constant exasperation with the couple, they agreed on the arranged marriage with the condition that if Yanar and Lapil would not become compatible, they would cease the agreement.

The strict monitoring of Datu Pita was also the reason why Lapil and Yanar could not meet each other and the marriage between the two was not announced publicly. Pita was just too protective, but look at it now, the daughter was dead and the marriage between the two would never happen.

Tala and Yanar have the same father. And their father was the Rajah's friend, as long as Pita doesn't consider Tala as his daughter. He would not bestow the marriage of his son to her. What the Rajah wanted was more than just relativity but an acknowledgment of his friend Pita.

"About that, your Baba is not on good terms with you, right? You have to gain his acceptance for me to reconsider you as my daughter-in-law."

"If I gain what you said, Rajah. Then, what if Lapil doesn't want me as his wife?" Tala said knowingly.

She's been doing her best to make Lapil notice her once again. However, he had his attention on that woman of the young Datu. She had talked to Maki about that woman but even Maki was not himself ever since she had ordered him to watch her. When she asked, what's the matter, all he said was nothing. She wanted to investigate that woman by herself but has no time to do so. As she was busy making allies with the Kadatuan that were invited to this banquet.

Time was running out and she had to take advantage of Datu Pita's weakened state and raid his banwa before he regained his composure for losing his first daughter.

She had two more unfinished businesses. One was to ensure her place as Lapil's bride. Two ways to make a compact with Datu Achis as he would be the key to her success in defeating Datu Pita's warrior.

If she can't make her way to Lapil. She will pave her path to being with his teeth or grit. Even if she had to force him onto this marriage, just to have him. She will.

"Lapil has no desire in life. He will do whatever I told him to do." The Rajah replied. Truly, Lapil was like the Rajah's puppet. To the day that he was born, he was not treated as his son but as his tool for expanding his power and name.

He had trained Lapil like hell that no one could survive if they had gone through the same experiences but Lapil did. He survived his inhuman treatment of his child. From that today to the present time. All Lapil did was to make the Rajah satisfied and delightful. He always obeyed him no matter how outrageous his decree was and had never defied him.

"I will hold on to your words Rajah." Tala, who was convinced by this, smiled triumphantly.

"Silly girl, have I ever taken back what I have said? Prove yourself to Pita and Lapel will marry you. That's the Rajah's promise." Rajah Basi saw a glimpse of Pita's resemblance to Tala.

The young, ambitious, and selfish Pita. Who was not scared of power and who was willing to face stronger opponents. Don't care whether they step on someone as long as they get what they want. He had always admired this kind of Pita, ruthless and overpowering, but now… tsk.

"Rajah." In the midst of the conversation, Lapil entered the room that interrupted the discussion of Rajah and Tala.

"Lapil! I'm glad you came on time. We were just talking about you." Rajah welcomed Lapil and Lapil bowed his head in respect.

"I have some important matters to discuss with you, Rajah." He said without paying any attention to Tala.

"What is it?" Rajah asked Lapil to pause. He finally took a glance at Tala but immediately shifted his eyes to the Rajah.

"I hope that I can talk with you alone." He said in a smiling tone. Tala who was gaping at him steady her facade but clenched her fist.

He ignored her --again, treating her as total nothing. She hates it. She detests being treated like this. Especially because it was Lapil, she hates it even more. What did she even do wrong to him? How could he be so indifferent to now reason at all!

"Is that so, Tala, you leave first." The Rajah said, waving his hand to signal Tala to leave the room. She bowed her head to comply. "My son has some news for me."

"Yes, Rajah. I will leave first." Bidding her farewell, she left the father and son. When Lapil discerned that Tala's presence was no longer here. He faces the Rajah.

"Baba, you can't trust her." He said in a serious tone.

"What do you mean Lapil?"

"She's not a simple woman. She's trying to take down Datu Pita." He exclaimed and the Rajah was stunned by this.

"What did you say?"

"I said, you don't have to come with me tonight," Achis repeated. Yanarym got up on the bed when she heard Achis. She smiled widely and jumped on him and kissed both of his cheeks.

"Really? I could stay here?" Achis smiled at her and carried her bum to lift her off the ground.

"You can rest. Since today is the fourth day, everyone was replenishing themselves for tomorrow's night." He squeezes her booty before putting her back to bed.. "Sleep, okay? Don't you dare sneak outside."
