Chapter 106 - DESTINY

Tala- She's an independent person, she's not relying on anyone to live her life. Also, she's not idiotic, he found her interesting to talk with. Above all, he likes her personality. She's driving, vicious, and ruthless- she's similar to him.

It's like they were destined to meet. How astonishing, it was that he found out that she killed her sister. But was not even noticed by everyone. As she moves to the shadow, she steps higher to her goal. What a scary woman.

Lapil had finished conversing with Tala at the falls when she was called by a slave. He was now alone at the border of Datu Pita's banwa and on the neighboring territory where the first daughter went missing. After the Rajah would come here to offer condolences, he had to head back to the puod and proceed with his voyage. His goal to become the greatest conqueror of the sea must carry on, surpassing his father's legacy. His endeavors were only at their beginning.

Somehow he will miss this amazing island. It was one of the most beautiful he had ever seen. Especially in the border, where the falls drizzle from the heights. The cold gushing water and the clarity of it. He could even see a rainbow from above. It's a spectacular view. He stayed at the falls for a while before deciding to go back to the banwa of Datu Pita.

"What's wrong with my hair?! It's so annoying, hot, and heavy. Why is he getting mad from cutting it? Is this his hair?! It's mine! That bastard!" During his amble, he heard the ranting of a sweet voice of a woman in the woods.

As he was contemplating looking for that alluring voice, a woman came out of the view. She was looking from behind while walking in his direction and she did not see him on her way.

Also, he did not evade her as she was getting close. "Oh shit," Yanarym exclaimed, heeding that she bumped into a tree. Yet, when she touches the tree, it's not a tree but a toned body.

She saw another human being after coming here for a month and a half into this world! How cool is that? And she was more amused at how contradicting this man could get. Having an angelic face but his body was full of tattoos.

Well, Achis and Maki had tattoos too. But this man has a lot more, literally more, like his skin was covered in ink!

"Sorry, I did not see you." She stepped backcombing her hair that she cut just now and was caught by Achis.

Achis was dumbfounded when he found her slicing her hair with the dagger he gave her. He yelled at her for doing such a questionable act, when he was about to grab her, Yanarym ran as fast as she could. She had no choice but to run anyway, or else, she had to do harsh body training. Since he started to teach her sword techniques, he also added some exercises for her to strengthen her stamina. Yanarym knows the truth. He just wanted her to have more stamina in bed!

"Your hair..." The young man extended his hand touching her hair. Yanarym backed away by reflex. "Sorry..." Lapil said when he realized what he did. "I did not mean to scare you."

Lapil was flabbergasted seeing someone who had short hair. Cutting hair means more than cutting life itself. He doesn't understand why he found this woman so gorgeous with that kind of hairstyle. Even if her status is worse than a hayohay with that hair.

"Oh, I was not scared, you just surprised me." She said casually and looked around, breathing a sigh of relief that Achis didn't manage to catch her. Guide-sama gave her a body that could be on par with these ancient warriors. She can now spar with Achis for more than five minutes. If you say that was too easy, imagine swinging a quarter meter of blade weighing ten kilos. Before she could not even lift the sword with two hands.

Lapil examined her appearance. Not just her hair but also the way she dressed was astounding. He had conquered countless lands. He had seen traders from far away. Not once, he sees this kind of fashion sense.

Yanarym was currently wearing one of the t-shirts that she sewed. Also, she made some slacks pants too. Unlike the modern era, where the Philippines has blazing temperatures. This epoch of Lapu-Lapu was pretty breezy, and for another reason was to cock-blocking Achis. It's more beneficial than wearing a skirt.

"You're not from Datu Pita's banwa." Lapil blurted. Yanarym blinks her eyes hearing that. Immediately she panicked about who this man was. If she was caught back to the banwa now, her learning the swords will be interrupted!

"I-I I am from ahm --- I came with my baba! We are trading silk and stuff to Datu Achis banwa. I was just strolling around and lost my track." She laughed awkwardly. She screamed in her head asking for Guide-sama's intel if this person was who she thinks he was.

Guide-sama: "That's Lapil, the male lead Yanarym."

And she was right! This man was the male lead! Lapil! No wonder he was so handsome. Nevertheless, that's not important right now. What if someone from the original's banwa comes and determines that she is alive! It will become chaotic. It's better not to drag Achis into this matter.

"Actually! I did not lose track! I was looking for the river. And gosh! Look at that! Here it is. I really wanted to take a bath, so, if you excuse me." She said in a hurry, ready to run away but Lapil caught her arm.

"Wait for a moment, I will go with you. This forest is dangerous."

"It's not." She replied abruptly. The silence reigns to both of them.. Lapil looked at her with his usual smile, the longer he stared, the more captivated he was.
