Chapter 41 - LOSING

From him liking Alyana to Yanarym taking chances on Alvan. If fate were the cause, fate was too playful. The doorbell rang and Yanarym immediately sat and pointed her finger in the door's direction.

"Take it, I'm hungry." Alyx raised an eyebrow and stared at her naked upper body.

He saw the hickeys he left on her neck and chest area. But her bruised breast with a bite mark grabbed attention. He felt his libido stimulation and his manhood waking up. Yanarym, on the other hand, noticed the darkening of the young man's expression which narrowed her eyes.

She reached for the pillow that was on the side and tossed it on his face. "Will you take the food or not?"

"I'll get it if you kiss me." Without hesitation, Yanarym crawled towards him and smacked his lips.

Before she could retreat, he charged at her, grabbing the back of her head, so he could kiss her more than a peck. But before he could deepen, she pinched his chest violently.

"Ah- o-okay! Stop! Stop pinching me!" He laughed and released her. She stopped tweaking his skin and stared at him solemnly.

"What are you waiting for? Go! Get my food!" She pushed him off the bed. He took the bathrobe hanging near the bed and went to the door to get the food.

Alvan hurled the phone he was holding when he saw the picture of Yanarym being carried by his older brother. "When was that photo captured?"

"Five hours ago sir."

"Then? Where are they now?"

"In the resort room ---" the investigator dropped to the floor when Alvan kicked him.

Alvan laughed angrily and strode on the person he kicked. He exhales and inhales air heavily as his fist is tightly clenched.

"Five hours huh? What do you think they are doing right now?" He laughed like a maniac, there was no trace of happiness in his expression. The investigator staggered to stand but did not attempt to respond to the sheer terror of intensifying Alvan's fury.

"It doesn't matter ---brother must have known that she is mine and took her away to restrain her to get her back to me right?" Alvan was flabbergasted and walked back and forth.

His imagination began to wander, with the thought that his brother was also into Yanarym, and anxiety flared up.

"Right, he won't take her away, she's mine --- he must know that." He blindly convinced himself and hastily picked up his coat on the couch. "Where is she, exactly?"

"R-reporting to sir, Boracay." He took his spare phone from the walk-in-closet before finally leaving. He wasted no more time and ran away from the condominium.

"Book me a flight to Boracay right now."

"Sir Alvan, you have a photoshoot ---"

"DO YOU THINK THAT MATTERS TO ME RIGHT NOW?! Book me a fucking flight RIGHT NOW!"

"Y-yes, sir!"

"HURRY UP!" He hung up and drove his car to NAIA.

His relationship with his brother was not complicated. He was pampered by their parents, he was the favored son. Everyone around them adored them and he kept them all entertained. Aside from their parents, his older brother also spoiled him.

As a younger sibling, he knew all of Alyx's hardships. Even Alyx's lack of attention and love from their parents he knew those very well. In fact, he was the one who did not want to share the attention of the people to his older brother. He was the reason why Alyx didn't feel love since he was a kid because Alvan deliberately snatched it away.

He despised Alyx, he thought of him as his enemy. Whatever Alyx had, Alvan would force Alyx to give it up on him. They were young, and their parents adored him more than his older brother so his whims always won.

Alvan doesn't want to have the same toy as him, he would cry if Alyx had some toy that was a lot more interesting than him. He also doesn't like when Alyx was praised by people. If Alvan sees their parents delighted, whenever Alyx won something at school, he would get mad and take their flatteries. He was their favorite son but for him, their parents' affection was not enough.

He's not as smart as Alyx, not as good at management or leadership. He has no talent in things other than acting, singing, and dancing. With his capabilities, it was something that couldn't be bragged about in their social circle. They are elites, they were supposed to get entertained not to entertain. Things that he could do were not necessary in doing family business, he was envious of Alyx that could do anything even if everyone in the world would turn their back on him. While he needed support and attention, he couldn't live by himself.

He pursued becoming a celebrity. Which forced Alyx to join in show business to assist him on his way to the hall of fame.

Alyx had no control over his life; he must do what his parents have told him to do. And everything they told him to do was in accordance with Alvan's interests.

He's not like Alyx who is perfect. He's not perfect like his brother, that was why Alvan didn't want him to have an easy life, so he was always revolting to make it hard for Alyx. His older brother's suffering was his happiness.

He assumed that the brighter he shines like a superstar, the worse Alyx's life would become; nevertheless, truth be told, Alyx would always prevail over anything life throws at him. In the entertainment business, he was also rather prominent. The contradiction of what he had anticipated.

He felt deep down that he owed a huge debt to his older brother, who had done a lot of injustice. Now that he has found the one he truly adores, not just because Alyx wants her too.

Alvan was starting to feel worried, anxious that Alyx may do the same thing he did back then.
