Chapter 334 - Coming To You

Name:When You Are Mine Author:Da_Rose
Jade stared at everyone as they crowded the room, all showing concerns and support for her. Lair and another doctor had come in to check on her and had said she was fine, but they'd do an MRI for her by morning.

Her mother and Kevin and rushed over the moment they had heard she was awake, they had both been crying non-stop. Kevin haven't stopped hugging her, and Amy was also there crying like a baby.

"My baby girl." Grace cried as she pulled Jade into a hug but she made sure not to hug her too tight.

"Mom" Jade hugged her back.

Grace cupped her face and placed a motherly kiss on her cheek. "I'm so happy you're back to us." She said. She was more than grateful to have her daughter back. The past four weeks has been terrible for her, she had dreaded the thought of losing her daughter but she had been strong for Kevin. She had to take care of him too. Kevin had also had it rough, he hadn't even touched his game console since she went into coma. There were times he stubbornly stayed at the hospital with Jake to look after her, he had always hoped she'd wake up one of those nights.

"Sister Jade don't fall sick anymore. Mother and I have been having a hard time. I missed you." He said amidst tears.

"I promise I won't." She replied with a loving smile as she patted his head.

"You also scared me." Amy said as she also hugged her.

"I'm sorry too." She said with a small smile as she let them hug her. She was also happy to see them. Everyone that mattered to her were there. She couldn't believe she had been in a coma for a month. She couldn't imagine how stressed and worried everyone must have been most especially a particular someone.

She turned to see him standing by the side, while he let everyone have their time with her. Though she was listening to everyone in the room she could only stare at him while he also stared back at her. She wanted him to come be at her side and not far away.

Everyone noticed the way they stared at each other they knew they had to give them some privacy.

Grace placed a flask of food in Jake's hand.

"Feed her, we'll be outside." She said while everyone stepped out.

Jake remained rooted on the spot even after everyone had left.

"Didn't you miss me?" Jade asked, a small smile curving her lips as she stared at him but he remained unmoving, he couldn't believe he was staring at her. He still couldn't believe she was now awake.

Jade sighed and tried to get out of bed.

"Stop, what are you doing?" Jake asked in horror as he hurried over to stop her from stepping down from the bed.

"Coming to you." She replied. Jake placed the flask on the bedside table and helped her back on the bed.

"You shouldn't step out of bed yet. Atleast not till your test is done." He told her, but Jade couldn't help but notice how he wasn't looking at her now that he was closer.

"Jake?"

"Hmmm" He answered as he turned to her. She stretched her hand out to him and Jake placed his hand on hers. She made him sit next to her so they were staring at each other.

"Don't you want to hug me too?" She asked, her gaze intently boring into his.

"Hug me." She whispered, and as if that was all he had been waiting for, Jake wrapped his arms around her and hugged her against his chest. His wildly beating heart calmed the moment he felt her in his arms.

It felt surreal to have her in his arms again. He couldn't imagine how hard he had prayed just to do this again. He tightened his arms around her a little bit more but not enough to squeeze her. God, how he missed her. All these while he could see her but he had felt like she wasn't there with him.

"I'm sorry." Jake said behind her ears. His voice was shaky and Jade had a feeling he was crying. She tried to pull away from the hug but Jake wouldn't let her. He hugged even more as he shook his head, "I'm truly sorry." He apologized again, and this time Jade pulled away from him. She looked at his face and indeed there were tears glistening in his eyes.

She placed her small palms on his face and caught his tears before it fell down. "Why are you sorry Jake?" She asked in a sad tone. She had never seen him cry and seeing him cry in front of her like that broke her heart.

"I'm sorry for not protecting you. For....not getting to you on time. You had yo–"

"Shhh" She hushed him with her finger pressed between his lips.

"Don't say sorry." Her hands cupped his face, while she deeply stared into his eyes.

"I'm grateful to you Jake. You came at the nick of time and saved me. I'm alive because of you, or didn't you save me?" She raised a brow at him, while he nodded his head.

"Good, then don't apologize. I should be the one to say thank you. I'm grateful to be alive and here with you." She said as she leaned in to kiss his lips. Jake looked at her for a while, so many emotions searing through his heart and his eyes couldn't even communicate all because they were overwhelming.

He cupped her cheek and gently kissed her back. His heart fully came alive when he felt her lips on his again. He felt like he had been given another chance at life again.

He pulled away from the kiss, his hand brushed her hair backwards. He massaged her cheek with his thumb before kissing her lips again, "Thank you for coming back to me. I love you."

"And thank you for waiting for me." Jade replied as she placed one of her palms on his face, her eyes were also glistening with tears, "I love you too."
