Jade had a hard time sleeping last night. She couldn't stop herself from thinking about Jake and that kiss and all the moments they've shared together. She felt giddy thinking about it. His cute smiles, his perfect dentitions, his perfect brows, his pale pink lips, even his built. Everything about Jake was making her heart swell. She didn't know when she started liking him, talk more of falling for him. All she knew was that she was beginning to enjoy his company and the more she spent time with him the more she didn't want it to stop.

Waking up this morning she was more sure than ever that Jake was really what she wanted. The thought of Jake was bringing butterflies to her stomach.

Jade was still lost in her reverie when her phone started ringing. She frowned at the unwanted disturbance. Who could be calling her so early in the morning.

Reluntanctly, she picked her phone from the bedside table. Her heart skipped a bit when she saw it was Jake calling.

She blinked her eyes to make sure she wasn't imagining things. She opened her eyes widely and indeed it was Jake.

He was calling so early. Why?

Jade let the phone ring a bit more before picking up the call. She didn't want to seem too excited.

She took a deep breath and calmed herself.

"Hello"

"Hi"

"Woke you up didn't I?" Jake asked nervously. He didn't want to disturb her, if not for the idiot that was currently banging on his room door.

"Not really. I've been awake for a while" She replied.

"Okay"

"How was your night?"

"Good. And yours?" She asked in return.

"Apart from the fact that I missed a certain friend after dropping her off, it was good" A smile tugging on his lips. He didn't know where he was getting the boldness from but he just wanted her to know he missed her.

Jade reflexively bit her lips as she blushed slightly. Did he really miss her?

"That's good" She didn't know what else to say. "So why did you call so early?" She asked looking at the time.

Jake scratched the back of his head. Damn that idiot Blake! He cussed in his heart.

"I'm sorry to bother you Jade, but the thing is my stupid brother is about to bring down my door, because he hasn't talked to your friend yet"

"Oh my God. Jake I'm so sorry I forgot about it. We got talking and I forgot..." She tried explaining.

"Hey, it's okay" Jake cut in, when he heard the way she was trying to explain to him.

Internally Jade was a bit disappointed that Jake's call was because of his brother again. What was she expecting? She sighed inwardly.

But this was actually her fault. She had totally forgotten about Jake's request if asking Amy to speak to his brother.

"Do you think it can be possible to help by silly brother contact her? I really want him to go away from my door before I commit murder"

Jade chuckled slightly. Jake and Blake reminded her of herself and Kevin.

"Maybe he should call her directly. Her phone wasn't with her yesterday, but I'm sure she must have it now" Jade told him.

"Okay, thanks alot"

'Was he going to hang up now?' Jade thought with a frown.

"Okay, bye" She told him first.

"Wait!" Jake called out sharply.

'He's not going to hang up!!' She couldn't help but smile.

"Ermm..do you want to go out later after work? You know those plans we had yesterday maybe we can do them after work, only if you're free of course. So what do you say?" Jake asked nervously.

Jade could feel her heart thumping with excitement. The damn stupid organ can't keep itself calm anymore.

"Sure" She replied, a big smile spreading on her lips.

"Okay. I'll see you after work" He said grinning stupidly.

"Sure"

"Have a nice day Jade"

"You too" She replied, before Jake disconnected the call.

The giddiness in her heart increased after Jake ended the call. She was going to see him today.

Jade rushed out of bed and dashed towards her wardrobe to pick out something to wear.

**********

Cale's House.

"Mom you're coming to talk to Jade today right?" Cale confirmed with her as he got himself ready for work.

"Cale I don't really think it's a good idea. I don't want to hurt Jade by going to her" Helen sighed deeply.

Cale crouched down and held her hand,

"Mom come on, we already talked about this. You're not hurting Jade, you're just going to direct her back to the man who truly loves her. Mom you're helping Jade and I find get past our misunderstanding and this is a good act okay. Don't overthink it" He said raising her hand to his lips.

"Are you sure" Helen was waivering.

"Yes mom, I'm very sure. Jade still loves me and I still very much love her" He said convincingly.

"Okay. I'll talk to her, but if she says she is no longer interested, promise me you'll let her go"

Cale looked away from his mother's eyes. He wasn't ready to make such promises. Helen raised his chin up with her hand as she looked into his eyes.

"Cale promise me you'll leave her be if she refuses to come back to you."

Cale remained quiet for several seconds before answering, "I promise"

But was he truly going to keep to his word. Was he really going to let Jade go? No, he didn't thing so.

Jade was his. She belongs to him. She has kept her body for him, and only him was qualified to have Jade.

"Fine, then I'll help you talk to her" Helen declared with a smile. She was more happy to see Jade than to talk to her.

"Thank you" Cale revealed a happy smile and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Call me when you're done talking to her okay" He told her walking back to continue preparing himself for work.

He was feeling positive about his mother's conversation with Jade. He was going to have his woman back, and then he was also going to keep his job. A happy smile spread across his cheek.

....

Jade couldn't wait for the day to come to an end. For some awkward and terrible reason the day was running too slow. She hissed when she looked at the time, It was just 12pm!!!.

What was happening today? If it were ti be other days she was sure the day would have ended by now.

"Jade are you expecting someone?" Sara who has been noticed Jade's anxiety couldn't help but ask.

"No? Why do ask?" Sara was sure paying alot of attention to her lately.

"For starters, you're wearing a dress, and you're looking way pretty than usual, and you won't stop looking at the time. Are you going for a date? It can't help but notice Julius has been looking at you and just like you he seems a little giddy and won't stop looking at you"

Jade turned to Julius direction, and he indeed he was staring at her. He flashed her a smile and she waved before returning her attention back to Sara.

"Whatever is wrong with him has nothing to do with him. And secondly I'm not going for a date" She replied.

"Are you sure? Why do I feel like I shouldn't believe you"

"That's your choice sweetheart" Jade flashed her a smile.

"Girl you're acting strange. Just yesterday you have this grim look on your face and now you're all pretty and smiling"

"What's so wrong with her smiling and frowning whenever she wants" Jade didn't need to look up to know it was Julius talking. Why did he suddenly have to come here now, and there he even came with a cup of coffee as usual.

When did he even get it. Wasn't he sitting there seconds ago? Jade felt like rolling her eyes at him.

"My Jade is always beautiful whether she is smiling or frowning. She's just too beautiful"

Jade raised her head up and forced a smile, "Thank you Julius. You're so nice"

"You don't have to thank me, I was just being honest"

'Well thanks for your honesty' She said in her mind with sarcasm dripping in every letter. She didn't like guys who didn't know when to stop. Like it so obvious she didn't like him or want him around her but the guy wouldn't take a clue.

Even if she was interested she would never date a guy working in the same company as her.

Julius was about to say something when someone called Jade's name. "Jade there's a call for you on line two"

"Okay" Jade was grateful for the call. Julius should take a cue and leave.

"Jade Peterson" Jade spoke as soon as she picked up the receiver.

"Miss Jade there's someone to here to see you" The receptionist said.

"Okay. Can I get a name please"

"She said she's your mother" The receptionist informed her. Jade frowned when she heard that. 'Her mother?'

Why would her mother come here? And she could have called her on the phone instead of using the receptionist.

Jade was suspicious of this visitor. She doubted if it was truly her mom.. She'll just have to find out.
