Chapter 134 - Get Him Back

Name:When You Are Mine Author:Da_Rose
Amy's steps as she walked into the house were heavy and earth shaking. Her face were beet red with anger, and her eyes cold. Her hands were tightly clenched into a fist as she walked into the sitting room. She saw her parents who were sitting at the dining table, but her eyes settled on her mother who had a cheerful smile on her face.

Amy's movement caught her mother's attention. "Amy you're back" Mrs Walker called with a broadened smile.

Amy didn't know what to do or say as she angrily stared at her mother. She didn't know what to do with the confession Ethan has made. If what he said was true, how was she going to look at her mother from henceforth?

She had spent the last few years of her life, feeling scared. And now she gets to find out all her fears, doubts and insecurity were because of her mother?

"Is everything okay?" Mrs Walker asked with concern as a frown appeared on her face. She didn't like the Amy was staring at her.

"Princess are you okay?" Amy's father asked when he noticed Amy's frown.

"Good.. evening dad" Amy thought she greeted, but realized she couldn't find her voice. Her chest was heaving up and down, and she could suddenly fell pain in her heart, as it was clenching too tightly. She was yet to come to term with Ethan had said.

Could her mother really do something like that? Did her happiness mean so little to her?

Amy's parents jumped to their feet and hurried over when they observed what was going on with Amy.

"Amy are you okay?" Mrs Walker was worried. She reached her hand to Amy but Amy took a step back.

Mrs Walker's hand was left hanging as Amy stared at her. She turned to husband in confusion. Why was Amy suddenly acting up?

"Amy..."

"Is it true?" Amy finally asked, making her mother utterly confused.

"Is what true?" Mrs Walker asked back.

"Did you really do that to Micheal and his family! Did you threaten him to...?" Amy couldn't find the rest of her words.

"What are you talking about?" Mrs Walker was still confused. The name Amy had called did ring a bell in her head but she couldn't remember who it was.

"Mom??"

A light bulb flicked in her head and Mrs Walker finally realized what Amy's attitude was all about.

"Is that why you're acting this way?" She hissed, completely unfazed about this new development. She didn't see the reason to cry over it now.

"You were a teenager, a stupid teenager and I only had your best interest at heart"

Amy looked at her with disbelief. She wasn't even feeling guilty knowing that the truth has come to light. Amy snickered, "Is that all you have to say?"

"Are this cold and mean?" Amy couldn't believe she was not feeling remorseful.

"Mom how could you have done that? Couldn't you have talked to me about it?"

"And then what? You'll plead with me to let you be with someone like him? You've always been rebellious" Mrs Walker snapped.

"Was that reason enough to hurt me the way you did? Do you know how much you actions have hurt me all this years? And how could you ruin someone in such a way" Amy's eyes turned misty.

Amy was trying so hard to control her emotions. She could still hear the words her ex had said to her that day. Amy had felt like she could die. Micheal had visited her in school, and he had broken up with her, saying the meaniest of words, which has made her to always second guess herself. Now to find out all those words might be her mother's own words, was very disheartening.

"Come on Amy you didn't know what love meant at the time. I only did my best to protect you, so you should be grateful!" Her mother declared.

Amy was surprised by her mother's words. When Micheal had broken up with her, she had wanted to run after him and beg him to give them a second chance, but she didn't. Now she was thinking she should have.

She didn't know he was passing through the hell her mother had dug for him. Amy wasn't feeling angry because her mother had done something this mean, but because she felt she should have known better. She should have believed she loved someone who loved her too.

Being rejected and dumped by someone she loved was something that has marred her heart. She had almost given up on herself and on love.

"Mom, where is he?" Amy asked the question that has been on her mind since Ethan told her the truth.

"How would I know? He left" Mrs Walker casually replied.

"Dad talk to mom, tell her to tell me where she kept him" Amy's father who has been lost in the conversation between the women, exchanged glances from his wife to his daughter.

"Honey.."

"Stop it, I don't know" Mrs Walker interjected.

"Mom! I know you do. And I'm giving you fourty eight hours to show him to me, or else I'm moving out and I'll never recognize you as my mother again" Amy declared in a commanding tone, before turning to leave.

"Amy stop right there" Her mother ordered the moment Amy walked past her and her father, and started for the stairs.

Amy reluctantly stopped on her stride before turning around to look at her mother who was staring death glares at her.

"So you want to threaten me now? And who gave you the right to walk out on me?" Mrs Walker yelled.

"Oh please mom this isn't your court room. You should be feeling remorseful and looking for a way to fix things. Do you the magnitude of what you've done? How could do that to me?" Amy could barely try to keep her voice down.

"Do you know the emotional torture you've put me through? What gave you the right to do all the things did?" Amy asked lividly. She has had enough of her mother's dictatorship. She did only the things she liked without putting others feeling into consideration.

"Amy stop it. That's your mother you're talking to" Amy heard her father's warned sternly.

"No, leave her be. Let her talk to me the way she please. All because of that fool."

"Mom, no one is talking back at you. The problem is you're the only speaking in this house and you're not used to hearing anybody's opinion, and you've gotten used to it. But mom, you've gone too far. Bring Micheal back or all hell with be let lose" Amy said before storming away. She bumped into Lair who was standing at the top of the stairs, listening to what was going on.

"Sorry" Amy's eyes were stinging with tears.

"Come on" Lair put a hand around her shoulder and led her to her room.
