Tian Xifeng didn't know if she wanted to laugh or cry at the sudden turn of events.

"Did you know this was going to happen?" Liang Feng questioned as he looked at the woman.

"Did you?!" Instead of giving him a straight answer, the woman retorted back a question.

"..."

"I swear..." Tian Xifeng gritted her teeth as she spoke, "If this system was a real person, I would have stabbed her to death!"

Liang Feng sighed as he walked over towards the wall and grabbed the only weapon that was provided to them, "And by doing that, you would have ended up in jail."

Tian Xifeng clicked her tongue in annoyance as she also walked over towards the wall and picked up the weapon that was hung on the wall.

There were exactly two weapons. One for each of them and from the announcement of the system, they knew exactly why they were given these weapons.

Both of them had saved up about the same amount of time which was approximately a bit more than four minutes, however, by now, their headstart had already ended and because the two players were together, they were forced to be trapped inside a battle arena.

Their situation was much alike to the situation that Zhihao and Li Ling were currently forced to undergo. The only difference would perhaps be the fact that Tian Xifeng and Liang Feng were not forced to stand on a platform that was balanced on a rock with magma flowing underneath.

"Liang Feng Gege, remind me why I ever chose to come here," Tian Xifeng sighed as she spoke dejectedly.

"Because you thought it would be fun," The man seriously answered her question.

"And now I regret it," Tian Xifeng replied as she whined, "I must have been out of my mind to think this would be fun! Fufufu~ This game is not fun at all!"

"Don't let Li Ling hear you," Liang Feng sighed as he softly warned.

Tian Xifeng frowned as she saw the man positioning himself for a fight.

"Gege! You're really going to do this?!" Tian Xifeng didn't sound very happy as she cried out a question.

"Do you think we have a choice?" Liang Feng pursed his lips as he asked back in response.

"..."

Tian Xifeng looked around first before pointing up as she stated, "Why not go up and escape?"

Liang Feng shook his head as he heard this idea, "It can't be that easy. If a solution looks way too easy, you should never choose it."

"Aren't you overthinking it?" Tian Xifeng's face cringed up as she questioned, clearly showing that she wasn't on the same page as Liang Feng.

"Doubting is good for your health. If God gave you a brain, you should learn to use it," Liang Feng simply responded and Tian Xifeng immediately looked to be offended.

"Yah!" The woman snapped, "Are you calling me stupid?!"

"If you're stupid or not, it would depend if you think I'm calling you stupid or not."

Tian Xifeng tilted her head in confusion as she repeated the man's response in her head for better understanding but even after repeating it, she could not understand what the man was trying to say, however, she was still able to tell that it was clearly a type of backhanded insult!

Tian Xifeng opened her mouth to say something more but was forced to close it as she saw the man attacking forward with the saber in hand.

Her eyes immediately widened in shock and thankfully her instincts were fast enough to avoid that attack.

"Gege! At least tell me before you attack!" She cried out as she looked at the man in disbelief.

Liang Feng sighed as he heard this, "Do you think everyone announces first before attacking in a fight? If that were the case then would there really be a winner in the end?"

"..."

"It's all about catching your opponent with a surprise attack," Liang Feng added and Tian Xifeng couldn't help but want to curse the man for spouting facts.

"So you're going to be serious?" Tian Xifeng questioned, her voice sounding a bit colder than usual as she glared at the man, "You're seriously going to fight me?"

Liang Feng pursed his lips and nodded as he responded, "This is a battle and it's not like you'll really die even if you get hurt here. Isn't it better to be eliminated before you suffer more in this maze?"

Tian Xifeng's eyebrows creased together as she heard this response that made her think.

There was certainly some truth in what the man had said.

In the end, they would have to kill the gamemaster in order to win the game and it wasn't like the woman had any plans of doing that so why was she here? Why was she simply playing with no goal in mind? Wasn't she indirectly making things harder for herself?

If they could be eliminated as soon as possible, they wouldn't need to suffer in here anymore.

"So just lose," Liang Feng suggested as he straightened his back and got ready to attack her for the second time, "Get eliminated and go back to the real world. Try to help Madam Huang fix the system. Help Li Ling from the outside."

Tian Xifeng gulped as she heard this and for a moment there, she truly considered this as an option presented in front of her.

If she were to lose now, she could go back and help Madam Huang. Even saving Li Ling would be something possible so this really sounded like a good option.

Liang Feng swung the sword and attacked her again thinking that this time she would simply let the man kill her, however, at the last possible second, Tian Xifeng lifted her own sword and saved herself as she pushed Liang Feng and his sword off.

"Gege, let's really fight in that case."

"Eh?" Liang Feng's eyes widened as he muttered in confusion.

Tian Xifeng took off her heels and tossed them aside before tearing the lower half of her one-piece dress as she got ready to seriously fight this man.

"You can't be sure about anything. Winning or losing, both don't sound like bad options at this moment, but that doesn't mean I have to let you win by purposefully losing."

"..."

The woman's lips curled up in a wicked smirk as she spoke, "I've always wanted to do this. To seriously have a battle with you."

Liang Feng was silent for a minute as he suddenly heard this unique confession.

"It should be interesting to know which one of us wins," Tian Xifeng chuckled as she stated and Liang Feng also nodded his head with a chuckle as he agreed.

"It would certainly be interesting but are you sure you want to do this? You might get hurt. You won't die in real life but it's still going to hurt," Liang Feng didn't mean to but as he said this, the worry in his tone was clear.

Tian Xifeng couldn't help but laugh as she heard this worried warning, "Liang Feng Gege, you should worry about yourself. Just like you can hurt me, I can also hurt you."

"..."

"But I'll make sure to go all out," Tian Xifeng added as if hearing that would make the man feel rest assured.

"Then should I be the one to go easy?" Liang Feng questioned with a frown, "Since I'm the guy?"

"I'm going to kill you if go easy," Tian Xifeng snapped as she shook her head, "You better go all out as well! I don't like gender discrimination!"

Liang Feng didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard such a statement coming from this woman.

"Now," Tian Xifeng smiled as she spoke up but her smile was gone before it could even properly register on her face. She ran forward with the sword in hand as she attacked the man without wasting any more time in thinking or deciding.

Liang Feng gritted his teeth and there were creases on his forehead as he held up his sword and obstructed Tian Xifeng's attack before pushing the woman off.

Tian Xifeng seemed to have already expected this so without even waiting to recover from that, she immediately ducked down and used her hand as a support to swing her leg in a full circle, with the aim of knocking the man down.

Liang Feng cursed under his breath as he lost his balance and Tian Xifeng used this split second of an opening to kick the man on his face.

Liang Feng who had not expected this woman to use such tactics was thrown back by the kick and almost felt as if the woman had broken his nose bridge.

He touched his nose only to realize that his guess was perhaps not that far off since there was fresh blood oozing out of his nose.

"Ah... Sorry," Tian Xifeng apologized as she stated, "I'll make sure not to hurt your face next time. It would be a waste if I broke such a handsome face."

"..."
