Chapter 183 - Li Ling Has Permission To Cheat?

The bullet hit the intended target and another one of the creature's eyes were successfully destroyed.

"Nice one!" Zhihao almost wanted to pat himself for that amazing shot.

He immediately looked over at Li Ling since it was the man's turn to play around with the creature.

The spider Ribix looked to have been angered. It opened its mouth and tried to shoot Zhihao but Li Ling was much faster than the creature.

He moved forward and threw explosive ammunition inside the hand cannon before aiming it at the creature's mouth. The laser beam that was in its initial process of forming immediately self-destructed and a mixture of the explosive blowing up inside its mouth along with the hot laser wasn't really something pretty.

Zhihao's eyes went wide as he looked at the ruthless scene. There was an explosion inside the creature's mouth which immediately caused it to shut its mouth as it faltered back a few steps, however, even this wasn't enough to kill this creature.

"Good job!" Zhihao complimented Li Ling, who was smiling rather wickedly as he looked at the creature.

If the creature wasn't already mad enough, this explosion definitely caused it to be furious at the two captains.

Laura only glanced over once before she rolled her eyes and looked away. She was certainly impressed a bit, but although she was impressed, she wasn't planning on showing it on her face.

These two were supposed to be the legendary Captains of the rebellion so of course this much was already expected from them, was it not?

"My turn," Zhihao cried out as he moved forward and headed straight for one of the legs, but by the time he got near it, the creature had already recovered from its injury and opened its mouth again to shoot out the laser beam, however, the laser ball forming in its mouth gave out a few sparks before extinguishing completely.

It seemed that Li Ling had managed to destroy the mechanism used to create that laser beam.

Now that one of its attack powers was decreased, their chances of defeating it had increased.

The creature immediately changed strategy and decided to spew out that white web that was covered in acid.

For a second, it almost looked as if the web was going to catch Zhihao, but as soon as it was near enough, Zhihao activated the moon goddess spellbook and disappeared.

By now, he had used this item so much that he got used to it and it was one of those items that he was comfortable with using at most times. He also got to know more features of this book such as the feature to make the spellbook travel anywhere he wanted and there was even a feature to make it turn invisible, hiding it from the eyes of the attackers.

He used both these features at once. He teleported the book and hid it from the eyes of the creature who immediately stopped spewing out that white acid web when it realized that Zhihao was no longer there.

As soon as the creature had stopped to look around frantically, Zhihao appeared once again near one of its legs and he took out his sword Shuang from his inventory. The sword was a spiritual sword that had no power in this world, but because it was a strong sword, it was still useful for Zhihao.

With a single strike, Zhihao managed to somehow cut off one of its legs.

The spider ribix who hadn't really said anything until now suddenly let out a wail as it located Zhihao and opened its mouth to attack him.

"My turn!" Li Ling shouted out enthusiastically as he looked at this scene.

Zhihao smiled as he activated his moon goddess spellbook once again and seemed to disappear from sight.

The spider ribix was once again left confused as it roared out in search of Zhihao, but Zhihao was surely the least of its worries.

Li Ling smiled as he warned out, "Don't be distracted!"

He transformed his hand into an air gun and aimed it at the creature's sixth eye. The creature was once again left powerless as another one of its eyes was destroyed.

The six leftover eyes now turned into five leftover eyes.

The creature shot out its white acid web at Li Ling but before the thing could capture Li Ling, Zhihao once again deactivated the moon goddess spellbook, jumping out before activating it again to suck Li Ling in.

The white web fell down on the other ribix who immediately melted away under its touch.

Zhihao didn't waste any time as he jumped down on the fifth eye and let Shuang do its job of destroying it.

Now, the creature was down to four eyes, however, Zhihao still looked as if he was unsatisfied and wanted to destroy more eyes.

Unfortunately, it was now Li Ling's turn so Zhihao couldn't really attack it again.

He deactivated the moon goddess spellbook and Li Ling took a shot from under the creature.

The creature immediately jolted upon impact as if it had been stunned.

Zhihao and Li Ling laughed in unison as they saw this reaction.

Zhihao immediately went forward to cut another one of its legs and he was once again successful.

The eight-legged spider was now a six-legged spider who only had four eyes left.

Wang GuiYing who looked at this scene couldn't help but frown as he commented, "Are you playing chess or something?! Why the hell are you taking turns?!"

Zhihao glanced at Wang GuiYing as he commented, "Trash, this is a game, isn't it? We are just having some fun with it."

"..." Wang GuiYing was left speechless as he heard this and for a second there, he wondered if some unknown spirit had taken control over Zhihao's body. This was certainly the first time Zhihao had actually referred to a game as a game.

Most of the time, because of his job as a pro-gamer, Zhihao would always take it too seriously and cut out the carefree fun part of it.

To think that it was BBtrash this time who was worried about Zhihao and Li Ling being too carefree and having fun was truly a bit funny.

Li Ling closed his right eye as he took a shot at the creature's leg joints. Even before the bullet left the body, Zhihao was already sure that Li Ling would hit a bullseye, and hence he got ready to compliment him.

As expected, the shot hit the target and the joint was immediately destroyed, making the creature lose half of its one leg.

Now it was a five-and-a-half-legged spider.

Zhihao, "Nice shot!"

Li Ling smiled proudly as he exclaimed, "Of course."

It was once again Zhihao's turn to attack.

This time, Zhihao used one of his favorite methods.

Explosions.

He had always loved to blow things up so he activated the moon goddess spellbook and popped up near another one of the creature's legs.

He tied a TNT to its leg before activating the moon goddess spellbook again and teleporting away from the site.

Instead of waiting for the explosion, he went to its next leg and tied another TNT to it before once again activating the moon goddess spellbook, and this time, he waited.

The two explosives blew up together and destroyed two more of the creature's legs.

The creature seemed to cry out in pain as it was now reduced to becoming a three-and-a-half-legged spider ribix with four eyes.

"Hey! That's cheating!" Li Ling shouted out with a wronged expression.

Zhihao shrugged his shoulder with a mischievous smirk on his face, "Not my fault that you didn't think of this."

Li Ling pursed his lips as he looked at Zhihao, "Are you being serious here?"

Zhihao once again shrugged his shoulder as if he was completely innocent, "You can do it too."

Li Ling's narrowed eyes seemed to be glaring at Zhihao as a wicked smile crept up on his face, "Okay! Since you have given me permission to cheat, I shall."

Zhihao chuckled as he heard this. He leisurely took a seat on top of a boulder that had previously been a part of a building that was completely destroyed by them now.

This time, Li Ling took out an item that Zhihao had never seen before.

There weren't really items that Zhihao was unaware of so it was truly a bit shocking for him to come across something that he hadn't already read and learned about.

"What's that?" Zhihao asked curiously as he looked at it.

Li Ling only snickered at this question and didn't bother giving the man an answer, instead, he responded, "Why don't you wait and see?"

"..." Zhihao seemed to look more amused as he heard this.

He raised his hand and rested his chin on his palm as he attentively looked at what Li Ling was going to do next.

Li Ling took the item that was shaped like a small pocket knife and threw it at the creature.

The creature didn't seem to notice it at all and in fact, even Zhihao who was looking at it attentively couldn't keep up with its speed.

The thing seemed to be flying around and through the creature, however, nobody could see anything happening.

The item spun, coming back to its owner and just as it did, there was a huge annoying sound coming from the creature.

SLICE

The creature no longer had any eyes or legs.
