Chapter 8

Tang Lin felt the tremors from the ground. As he walked, he deviated from his original route. Without noticing it, he had walked for nearly a kilometer and arrived at a nearby park.

It was summer vacation, and at almost noon time, the sun was a little scorching, so there didn’t seem to be many people in the park.

Tang Lin walked to the road in front of the park. He was very sure that the discordant tremor was right in front of his eyes. There seemed to be a problem with a position about five meters in diameter under this asphalt road. It was clearly different from the other positions on this stretch of road.

The unusual tremor that Tang Lin felt earlier was because there was a void under this spot, and there was only a layer of asphalt on it.

The huge pit swallowed most of the car, leaving only the tail lights hanging on the edge of the pit.

Tang Lin quickly walked to the side of the pit and looked down. The front of the car was completely deformed and smoke was coming out of it.

The car was going too fast, and this huge pit had appeared too suddenly. This was a tragic fall.

Tang Lin quickly took out his cell phone and called the ambulance and the police. However, the smoke coming out from the front of the car seemed to be getting thicker and thicker. Then a ball of flames appeared with a bang. A bloodied arm stretched out from the shattered car window, and a weak cry for help came. “Help… Help… Save my daughter…”

Only then did Tang Lin see that there was a child’s seat at the front passenger seat, and on the seat was a little girl who was barely ten. Her face was also covered in blood.

“Damn it, isn’t there an airbag in this car!”

Although Tang Lin said that, his body had already involuntarily jumped into the pit. The flames spread very quickly. He definitely couldn’t wait for the paramedics to arrive.

The bottom of the pit was filled with slippery mud. This was a water erosion pit. Tang Lin walked to the side of the car door and tried to pull out the people inside, but he realized that the car door was completely deformed and could not be pulled open.

The fire at the front of the car was getting bigger and bigger. Tang Lin could even smell gasoline. Even the fuel tank had been damaged. The entire car would probably burn very soon.

“Save my daughter… Save my daughter first… I beg you…” The man whose face was covered in blood said to Tang Lin with all his might.

“Cut the crap. I’ll save both!”

This was the spot he landed on when he jumped in, it would be a waste of time to climb to the other side now.

Tang Lin gritted his teeth and grabbed the deformed car door with both hands, pulling with all his might.

A steady stream of power came from the ground under his feet. Being in the pit seemed to boost his power more than standing on the ground. In a while, he actually pulled out the entire distorted car door.

Things were easier after opening the door. Tang Lin helped the man unbuckle his seatbelt and carried him out to the side of the pit.

The pit was huge, and there was a lot of empty space outside the carriage. Although the ground was muddy, he couldn’t care less now.

After putting the man down, Tang Lin got into the carriage again.

The injured man lay on the ground. He watched Tang Lin get into the car, after which the fire spread into the carriage. The flames spread rapidly and almost enveloped the entire car. Apart from the flames, nothing else could be seen clearly.

Oh no! That young man and his daughter were finished!

Just as he was thinking this, he saw a charred figure rushing out of the carriage, holding his daughter in his arms.

Tang Lin held the girl in his arms. His body was charred by fire. Although he couldn’t keep the girl unscathed, her injuries were not too serious. On the other hand, almost half of Tang Lin’s body was charred.

As soon as he got out, Tang Lin climbed up on his hands and knees, completely ignoring the man’s burning gaze.

‘You said to save your daughter first.’

Quickly climbing out of the pit, Tang Lin placed the unconscious girl on the side of the road. He then jumped into the pit and carried the man out of the pit. Just as he put the man down, the pit exploded violently, making Tang Lin lose his balance.

Tang Lin lay on the ground, side by side with the injured father and daughter in a row.

His entire body was covered in burns. The pain and itch made Tang Lin felt like he was better off dead.

“I’ll be damned! I can’t keep my handsome face anymore.”

Tang Lin had a bitter expression on his face. Most of his hair had been burned, and his body was covered in burns. It was certain that there would be scars. However, as he lay on the ground, Tang Lin felt a slight chill from the burns. The healing abilities of the Stoneman’s Heart was taking effect, continuously treating the burns on his body.

Tang Lin opened his eyes and saw a few people in white coats walking towards him, looking like they were ready to move him onto a stretcher. Tang Lin quickly waved his hand and said, “No, let me lie down. Don’t touch me.”

Tang Lin looked at the father and daughter beside him and hurriedly said, “Save them first. I’m fine. They were in a car crash and there’s internal bleeding!”

As for Tang Lin… he was so angry that he wanted to hit someone!

Tang Lin was furious and scolded loudly, “You’ve just crashed your car, and I only sustained some superficial burns. But your daughter was in a crash and sustained burns. Can’t you tell whose injuries are more serious?”
