25 The Miraculous Recovery

He smiled, "We will see tomorrow."

She shrugged, "Whatever, something tells me my mom was involved."

Radley remained quiet. The two remained quiet for a while longer, when Elita spoke up, "Well, good luck with your arm."

Radley nodded and watched as she walked away. After a little while, the man came back with his gear and gave it to Radley. Radley accepted it and made way back to the hostel. His health was already up to ten percent. He smiled. Twenty percent of his energy had returned too. He found the slow increase of his energy perplexing, "Why is my energy going up so slowly."

The Diff system chimed up, "Your body is using the energy to repair your body. The more severe the damage the more energy is used. The slower your energy will gain."

Radley nodded. He was still suffering from all sorts of pain, and he was starting to get hungry. Even after all he had eaten today.

He walked through the entrance of the hostel and looked up at the clock in the entrance. It was eight o'clock at night.

He went to his room, where Ruby found him, "What the hell happened!?"

He lifted his arm, "This…just bumped it."

She ran up towards him and examined the arm, "Yip, that's definitely broken. You should see a healer."

He whispered to himself, "Man, people are annoying…"

"What was that?"

"I said I will have it checked out in the morning."

"You should rather have it checked out now."

He rolled his eyes and went into his room, "Good night, Ruby." And closed the door.

"Wait, you have to…rude. You are never going to get a girlfriend with an attitude like that!"

"Goodnight Ruby!"

She scoffed and walked away. Radley grabbed some of his preserved meat and chowed down. It actually tasted pretty bad now that he really tasted it, but he needed to quell his hunger. After he had his fill he went to bed and slept.

The next morning when he awoke he checked his stats. He was at one hundred percent. He tested his arm and smiled. No pain, or weird deformations. He did a few quick runner jumps and made his way through the door. Ruby saw him and scoffed. He smiled and specifically waved with his supposed broken arm.

Her eyes went wide, "Wait, didn't…Huh? I'm confused. Are you a healer? No, stupid question. Healers can't heal themselves…Aah, you went through the window, didn't you?"

He frowned, "Seriously? We are on the second floor and I don't have the money to see a healer. At least try and connect the dots before making weird assertions."

"Then how?"

"Doesn't matter. Look I have to go. I still have the finals to get through."

"Oh, yeah, right. The finals. Good luck with that…was yesterday just my imagination?"

He almost wanted to laugh looking at her confused face, but he kept it in.

He went to the attending lady and paid another seventy-five dollars. He needed to win today otherwise he was screwed.

He went to the Arena where he was shown to the back area where he was last time. Again there was a bunch of food, which he didn't hesitate to gorge himself on.

He turned to see who it was. It was from Nina. He swallowed his food and said, "Oh, hey Nina."

She turned her head slightly, "I don't remember telling you my name?"

Ah crap! How was he going to play this one-off? He started to sweat bullets, "You did. Don't you remember?"

She turned her head to the other side, "Did I?"
