Tian Tian was shocked to hear Luo Ying’s words. This had never dawned upon her before, so where did all this astuteness come from?

Fortunately, Tian Tian had already thought of an answer to this question. Therefore, she only panicked for a moment on the other end of the phone before she calmed down. “I’m just watching you live in pain all day. You’re so devoted to Lin Su, but you can’t get him. You and Lu Zhao were pushed into this marriage. But perhaps, it’s better to have a short bout of pain than a long, chronic one. That way, you can at least live with Lin Su, and you won’t have to be entangled with Lu Zhao for the rest of your life, suffering.”

“I didn’t realize you had given it all so much thought. I’m sorry, I misunderstood you.” Luo Ying pretended to be very touched. Outside the door, Lu Zhao didn’t see Luo Ying’s contemptuous expression as she drew her brows, so he thought that she had fallen for Tian Tian’s words yet again. He was resentful that she had failed to live up to his expectations.

On the other hand, Tian Tian was a little afraid that Luo Ying would soon investigate and learn why she had repeatedly interfered in their marriage, so she could only suppress the anxiety in her heart. She thought that even if Luo Ying really wanted to get a divorce and split the family assets, Lu Zhao probably wouldn’t agree to it. After making up her mind, she immediately changed the topic and asked in a reproachful tone, “Why did you suddenly change your attitude yesterday? Didn’t you say that you wanted to use that video to threaten Lin Su and force him to be with you? Why did you suddenly change your mind and just give him the video? You even insulted Lin Su and made him angry!”

Of course, what she really meant to ask was, why did she point out that the original video was with her and dragged her into the water? Lin Su’s ire had been directed to her as much as it was to Luo Ying.

As soon as Tian Tian said this, Lu Zhao, who was standing outside the door, suddenly stood up straight. He clenched his fists subconsciously and listened attentively to Luo Ying’s answer.

“I was too stupid before, and I took it for granted.” Luo Ying’s voice was deep, and her tone was full of remorse. “Lin Su only has Su Ran in his mind. He will not spare any other woman a second glance. If I threaten him like this, it will only make him hate me more. So, I thought that instead of angering him and pushing him further away, I might as well give him the video. This way, I can change his impression of me and perhaps appease him.”

Tian Tian panicked. Luo Ying had actually knocked her loose screws into place and was thinking like a regular person! Things were getting out of her control!

“Aren’t you afraid that brother Lin Su will claim credit from Su Ran after he gets the video back?” she asked anxiously. “Wouldn’t their relationship get better and better from there? When they express their feelings for each other and affirm their relationship, you won’t have the chance to interfere anymore. By then, you’ll really lose Lin Su forever!”

Luo Ying was silent for a moment, then choked up. “I know, but a forced melon is not sweet. True love is the act of hoping that the other party can be happy, not to force the other party to be by your side. Just like you said, if you force someone you love to be together with you, you’ll only end up as a resentful couple. I was once blind, that’s why I did so many things to make Lin Su angry. I was not loving him, I was only hurting him.”

Luo Ying stopped crying and said in a firm tone, “So, I’ve decided to let go. I’ll let go of brother Lin Su, and I’ll let myself go.”

After expressing her determination, Luo Ying also sincerely thanked her, “Thank you, Tian Tian. It was your words just now that made me see the truth for what it is. I’ve come to my senses, and that’s why I made this decision.”

Luo Ying’s words acted like a knife stabbing into Tian Tian’s heart. She was so angry that she almost couldn’t breathe. Her hands were shaking, and she was at a loss for words.

The makeup on her face had just been finished, and Luo Ying didn’t wait for Tian Tian to lose her mind yet again. She quickly hung up the phone. She was humming a little song and packing her things when she turned around and saw Lu Zhao standing at the door with a complicated expression.

She was shocked. She didn’t know how long he had been standing there, and if he had heard their conversation.

When Lu Zhao opened his mouth to speak, she hurriedly rushed over and put her index finger over his mouth, shushing him. Lu Zhao looked at the tender, white, well-proportioned, and slender index finger pressing against his lips. He felt the urge to bite it.

Luo Ying pushed him out of the room and whispered, “Don’t make a sound.”
