11 Tournament training

"Long Yue, Wang Wei I want you to meet your new teammate." Li Yun suddenly said while Long Yue and Wang Wei were busy training.

"Huh? New teammate but we are the two strongest students in this academy and what competitions will we participate in?" Long Yue said.

"Well, if it's just one person I guess we'll also enter the trio tournament. For now, we only focussed on the solo and duo competitions." Wang Wei said calmly. "As for who it is I think I already know."

"Really? Who do you think will join us"

"It will probably be Lee Zheng he has a pretty good soul form as for his soul jewel he has a nine-hundred-year-old soul ring. That's why I think it will be Lee Zheng who joins us. Or will it be someone else?"

"No you're correct for the next three months Lee Zheng will be joining you to train for the trio competition I don't know if he will join the solo competition that is up to him but he is also a reserve if one of you gets heavily injured and can't fight any longer in the duo competition." Li Yun replied.

"Do you think he'll be able to keep up? I mean hearing all this I get why but he didn't really stand out before to me and how will we train for the trio competition? Duo fights are still doable in my family dojo but trio fights will be too much." Long Yue said.

"Don't worry he'll be able to keep up. His soul form is the snow white eagle and he is a level 14 chi apprentice the same as you Long Yue. As for training, I was thinking about letting you use the school sparring grounds and let you spar against classmates that also obtained their first soul jewel. Not only will you benefit from it so will they." Li Yun said. "I will be waiting for you tomorrow after school at the sparring grounds."

"Wang Wei, how do you feel about working with Lee Zheng how do you think he is?"

"I spoke with him on the trip to the hoy valley he is a pretty nice guy. As for his fighting ability, I have no idea he stayed at base camp so only the teachers and the others who stayed at base camp could've seen it. As for my abilities, I was able to paralyze teacher Li Yun for a second so I think I will be able to paralyze our classmates for ten seconds if I have to." Wang Wei said in return.

"Amazing, but let's keep that hidden."

"Huh? Why wouldn't it be better to show our power to all our classmates?"

"I agree. But what if there are spies from the other academies. I mean word must have gotten out that we both have a thousand-year-old soul jewel so they'll probably investigate us." Long Yue explained.

Inside the sparring arena

"Hey, Wang Wei how's it going. So cool that I get to join you guys for the competition."

"Hey, Lee Zheng. Yeah, that's pretty great. If you could tell us all of your abilities we will be better at working together we will also tell you what we can do and after that let's start our training."

After a few minutes of talking to each other Wang Wei and Long Yue had a deeper understanding of Lee Zheng and vice versa.

"Okay both sides get ready I will be the referee for this match." Li Yun announced. "You are not allowed to inflict any severe injuries to the other party. Understood?"

"Understood!" Wang Wei, Long Yue, and Lee Zheng replied but their opponents were dead silent they were looking at the trio as if they wanted to harm them.

The other three were the three people in the academy that worked very hard to be able to compete in the competition but that opportunity was taken away from them by these three so of course, they were angry.

The trio that stood across from them were Xiao Dai with a void sword as soul form, Zhao Wei she was the most popular girl in the academy her soul form was the jade rabbit she was also the fastest in the academy after Long Yue. The last one was the leader of the trio Lei Huo whose soul form was the lightning tiger.

They each were level sixteen. They were true geniuses. This would be a hard battle for anyone who just got their first soul jewel but for Long Yue and Wang Wei it wouldn't be very difficult since they have their martial art foundation. Lee Zheng was the only one that was really nervous.

"Begin!"

As soon as Li Yun announced the beginning of the fight the crowd that was there started cheering for Xiao Dai, Zhao Wei, and Lei Huo who each unleased their soul form. A pitch black sword that seemed to suck in all light formed in Xiao Dai' hands. As for Zhao Wei, she grew a pair of jade green bunny ears and a fluffy green bunny tail on her lower back. The most impressive person was Lei Huo electricity crackled around his body and only his silhouette could be seen when the lightning disappeared he appeared to be a humanoid tiger with a lightning yellow fur.

As for Lee Zheng, Wang Wei and Long Yue only Lee Zheng unleashed his soul form as a pair of pure, snow white wings grew out of his back. He floated in the air for a few seconds and then descended. Long Yue and Wang Wei however just stood there. Their opponents couldn't waste such an opening but then something unbelievable happened. Long Yue unleashed his holy claws and Wang Wei unleashed his snake claws. The next moment Wang Wei' soul jewel lit up and his opponents couldn't move for a second but that one second was everything the next moment Long Yue stood with his claws at the throat of Xiao Dai, Lee Zheng had his sharp feathers which he pulled out and used as daggers at Zhao Wei' throat and Wang Wei had his snake claws at Lei Huo' throat.

The three were so shocked that they immediately surrendered. When Wang Wei, Long Yue, and Lee Zheng pulled back the three collapsed and fell to the ground they fainted from the fear each of them felt.

The crowd that was there and cheered for the three earlier were dead silent. They were completely annihilated. This was the power of the academy representatives.
