Chapter 165 Preparations

All four of them had seen the map that would be used for the tournament before they went inside the simulation, and as such, they were able to meet each other fairly easily at the agreed-upon rendezvous point. They had also sent this place to the Men Of Meng faction and they were not any slower to get there. In total, their group contained 25 members. That would include Baron, Roxi, Guan Yu, Yue Fei, Meng Ao, Meng Wu and 19 others that were underneath him.

Roxi had an outfit that concealed everything about her, from her face all the way to her legs. She was quite determined to not make a fuss as she was in possession of some of the most advanced weapons ever seen in the Chinese community and should anyone recognize her, she would be in a tough situation.

Meng Ao, the previous leader of the Men of Meng, just came looking for some fun. He did not really care for the tournament, but he did want to see just how capable Baron and the rest of them were up close and personal and perhaps give some advice if they were up for it.

Meng Wu, the current leader of the Men of Meng, was to be the leader of the elite guards that were in charge of guarding Baron, Guan Yu, Yue Fei, and Roxi. Under him were 19 others that he had personally hand-picked to be on this event with. These people had been working with him for centuries and he felt that they were quite reliable

Once they all got together, the 4 of them who had bases, all put theirs on the market and within days they all were sold. They pooled their resources together and they bought a suitable base that was quite easily defendable. However, due to the sheer number of people participating this time around, they were not able to purchase one that was in a great position. The one that became theirs was near the middle of the map, and that meant that they would have to be wary of every direction for possible enemy attacks.

All 25 of them moved in immediately and they began to mass-produce what weapons and vehicles that they felt were the best to have straight away. This included the Deepstrikes mainly used for defense, thousands of the wooden m4a1's that Roxi had made a blueprint of just before the tournament, a few tanks, and a personal weapon for Roxi. Once all of that was in the works, they all set to properly discipline their soldiers and drill them day in and day out for the next few weeks. By this point, they were all nearly done with the preparations and they were just getting anything that they missed glossed over.

That was when they were approached by another group, the Combined Dragon faction. These people won the third-place award in the naval tournament so that must mean that they were not just any random players in the game. They requested an audience with Yue Fei, but when they were invited in, they did not expect everyone to be there as a witness to what was about to happen.

(QJG) "Greetings, I am one of the leaders of the Combined Dragon faction, specifically, the naval leader. My name is Qi Ji Guang nice to meet all of you." Qi Ji Guang bowed to show his respect.

(DLH) "I am the much more important Ding Lai Hang, and I am the aerial leader of the Combined Dragon faction." He said as he scoffed, he did not bow.

(ZDZ) "Don't mind him, I am the actual leader of the Combined Dragon faction, my name is Zhang Da Zhi. I am the land warfare leader and the leader over the entire Combined Dragon faction. How do you do?" Zhang Da Zhi said politely.

(GY) "Greetings, we were not prepared for such a visit by the three of you. Might I ask what you have planned for us to discuss?" Guan Yu spoke, representing all of them.

(QJG) "We have been tracking your progress ever since your group was announced as the third place in the aerial tournament. Though it seems as if your two leaders, the Meng duo are not here to help you out in this tournament?"

(GY) "Ah, unfortunately, those two are aerial only strategists. Therefore, they do not participate in anything non-aerial warfare related."

(DLH) "Heh, what fools."

(MW) "What did you just say about my sons, you little punk?" Meng Wu was not happy that this arrogant strategist was throwing shade at his pride and joy children."

(DLH) "Oh? Who are you supposed to be? Oh wait, let me guess, the leader of the declining Men of Meng faction? We will surpass you soon enough. You guys are a joke, your time is about to come to a close you shitty old-"

(QJG) "ENOUGH! You have said enough Ding Lai He, go wait outside."

(DLH) "but…"

(ZDZ) "GO!"

(QJG) "Apologies, he is a bit of a hothead. We mean absolutely no disrespect, please forgive us."

(GY) "What do you think Meng Wu?"

(MW) "Hmph, forgive me for getting so heated."

(ZDZ) "Thank you, what we have come here for today is to seek an alliance with you, an equal terms alliance. However, we were really hoping that the Meng Duo would be here. It is understandable for one to miss the naval tournament, but the land tournament is the most important one of all."

(QJG) "Correct, never would we have assumed that they would miss this grand event…"

(GY) "Is something the matter, Qi Ji Guang? You seem to be a bit dispirited."
