Glen raised the corners of his mouth as if he was okay with Roger’s response.

“Of course not. There is not much time left. I’m just wondering what it would be like for our Imperial Knights to be in charge of teaching the Lady.”

In the cool atmosphere, Vivian remained silent for a while, but could not do so any more. She thought this because she had become the topic that the two men were arguing about now.

It was very uncomfortable to listen to the conversation without the person involved.

“I thought it was purely because of the lack of education that your subordinate was being rude to me.….”

Inevitably, just before Vivian stepped in, Roger responded quickly. The eyes of the desert were crooked towards Glen.

“Looking at you, his boss is no different.”

Roger’s voice was so smooth as if nothing had happened. Glen’s lips twitched faintly at the word. His cool expression was vaguely distorted.

Roger glanced at Vivian for a moment. Vivian had a look on her face as if she didn’t know what to do in this situation.

Roger walked toward the door of the Oval Office, unlocking his arms.

“As you say, we are of lesser origin than the Imperial Knights.”

Roger’s voice heavily filled the empty office. Everyone’s eyes clung to him. Roger held the doorknob of his office and tilted his head sideways to look back at Glen who had an irritated look on his face.

“But I can’t afford to listen that my skills are inferior.”

“Ha?”

“Follow me.”

No sooner after Glen snorted, Roger then left the Oval Office spitting his words out.

Glen walked toward the door with a stiff face. Having made eye contact for a while, Enka and Vivian hurriedly followed the two.

Roger led the way to the outdoor training field.

It seems that the knights were training today, they had their tops on wielding swords. They greeted Roger from a distance, and saw Glen following him and then frowned.

The Imperial and Eckhart Knights both had a bad impression on each other.

“Sword.”

Roger, who folded up his shirt sleeves a couple of times, reached out to the knight who stepped back. The knight gave his sword to him, regardless of his bewilderment. Roger, who moved it to his other hand, held out an empty hand again.

“One more.”

Roger turned away with the two swords handed to him by the knight. Realizing that he wanted a duel, Glen was also confused. Roger flicked the sword at Glen, who was similarly dressed.

Tainy, who sat cross-legged in a chair, pretended to be aloof when he saw Enka and Vivian who had followed them late. Enka saw the two men who were going to duel at any moment and wrinkled her forehead.

“What kind of situation is this? Why is that ba*tard here?”

Tainy shouted at Enka. The ba*tard he was referring to, must be Glen. The straightforward expression almost made Vivian laugh, forgetting the serious atmosphere.

“He expressed that teaching swordsmanship to Lady Lector should be done by the Imperial Knights.”

Enka explained the situation as briefly as possible. Tainy looked quite dumbfounded.

Soon his eyes returned to Vivian, next to Enka.

“Lady, are you going to the Imperial Knights?”

“I don’t want to. First of all, that Knight Commander, he was acting on his own without asking for my opinion.”

Vivian was also dumbfounded. No, it’s not even Vivian’s request, so why is he making such a fuss? It was frustrating for Vivian, who did not know Glen’s credentials, who did not want to lose anything to the Knights of Eckhart. Of course, it was unacceptable even after knowing his credentials.

“Well, thanks to you, I will see the leader’s skills after a long time.”

Tainy’s low murmur changed the mood quite lightly.

Vivian gulped, then alternately looked at the two men standing confrontationally. Before they knew it, the two men pulled out their swords. Their postures were quite different.

Glen was posing as a typical aristocrat swordsman.

Holding the handle with the back of the hand facing forward, pointing the tip of the sword toward the sky, and attaching the top part of the handle to the chest. With his other hand neatly behind his back.

It was a common method of holding swords taught in aristocratic families since childhood.

On the other hand, Roger’s posture was relatively relaxed.

He was just pointing his sword at Glen. He put down his other hand that wasn’t holding a sword. Perhaps because of its freedom, a strange energy surrounded him.

As soon as their eyes met through the sand, the two men were close in an instant. There was a piercing sound of sharp silver clashing together several times in the ears.

Glen continued to attack and defend with his first pose without unnecessary moves. It was so common that the next move was predictable.

Roger, on the other hand, moved freely like a butterfly. His movements seemed strangely smooth, even though it was a duel in which the sword might stab into the heart. It looks like he was just swinging in an unrefined manner, but if you look closely, it was clearly a sword technique with a calculated attack power.

Most of all, Roger’s technique was pretty strong against predictability. It just seems like he’s waving his hands like a stranger, but the attack power at the end of the sword was great.

It was Glen and Roger standing in the middle of the training ground. But… Chaeng, Chaeng! The more the swords clashed, the more their feet moved.

Glen was stepping back. Roger was moving forward.

Roger’s momentum was so intense it was as if he would eat Glen right away. The sword he was holding was also like a storm and was about to tear Glen to shreds.

At this moment, Vivian realized his notoriety and the reputation that came with it.

Roger’s reputation in the world was limited to his swordsmanship skills. Those who confronted him with the sword said they felt as if the back of their necks were about to be ripped off, it was just like a wild animal that never missed its prey.

If it wasn’t Glen who was dueling with him right now, if it was me.….

Vivian was horrified by her imagination. Vivian was not confident she would endure such a heavy blow.

While she was thinking about something else for a moment, She heard a loud noise that sounded right next to her.

Something flopped from the sky and quickly hit the floor. It was a longsword. Everyone’s eyes moved quickly to see which of the two it belonged to.

The empty hand was Glen’s, who was busy preventing indiscriminate attacks. He was blinking his eyes in disbelief at his empty hand.

Roger pointed a sharp sword at his shiny neck.

“No, sir!”

“Hold on!”

Only then did Tainy and Enka hurry to stop him.

It’s okay to fight, but it’ll be a big deal if you disregard the rules. Moreover, Glen wasn’t a commoner. Either way, he’s the head of the Imperial Knights who defend the Empire. It was better to prevent things that would become complicated in advance.

Contrary to their concerns, Roger remained still as if he had no intention of moving his hands anymore.

Glen’s face was pierced by flamboyant eyes filled with brutal air. Glen gulped down, feeling the tingling sensation spreading from his sword-holding hand.

If Roger raises his hand a little, his life may be over today.

“That’s enough, right?”

Roger suddenly closed his eyes to the thin, fine voice that touched his ears and then opened them. In one blink, the ugly look melted away.

His head turned slowly. Vivian, who was far away, approached and grabbed Roger’s arm.

Vivian looked at Glen without making eye contact with Roger.

“I met you for the first time today, but you’re so rude.”

Vivian smiled and spoke straight to him. Vivian was annoyed by Glen’s attitude of treating her like a thing and trying to lead her to the Imperial Knights. To be honest, she wanted to be treated like a self-indulgent knight, but she didn’t think she needed to do anything more because he had already been dealt with by Roger.

Glen was briefly stunned by Vivian’s unintended vitriol.

“To me, and to the Knights of Eckhart.”

Vivian added, grabbing Roger’s arm that was still pointed at Glen’s neck.

“I don’t judge people based on their origin like Sir Knight. So I think I’d better learn swordsmanship from the Knights of Eckhart. I actually enjoyed learning from the Knights of Eckhart.”

If Roger hit him with his sword skill, Vivian hit him with her words.

Her sweet voice instantly turned Glen into a man of little or no substance. Glen realized that his jaw was tightly clenched. He seemed to be holding back his anger that was slowly soaring.

Glen tried to go back, but Vivian’s voice caught him.

“You have to take responsibility for what you say, no matter what.”

“……What responsibility?”

“If I were the Knights of Eckhart, I’d be very upset to hear your statement. So why don’t you apologize? Don’t tell me you don’t know that much etiquette, do you?”

There was no smile on Glen’s face now. Glen bit his teeth with a face that turned like a barren wasteland. Then he made eye contact with Roger standing next to Vivian. Roger was staring at Glen with quiet eyes. If he didn’t bother to stop Vivian’s behavior, it meant he had the same intention as her who was asking for an apology.

Glen clenched his fist.

He looked around and everyone was staring at him. Only then did Glen realize what a fool he was today. This is the den of an enemy group more dangerous than their enemy countries. The Imperial Knights and the Knights of Eckhart hated each other that much.

I can’t believe I’m alone in a place like this. Glen’s hair seemed to turn white.

It was not long before he got off the training ground with big strides.

The apology everyone wanted didn’t happen. Everyone expected that Glen would apologize for his arrogant statement and pride.

“Are you serious………?”
