Chapter 1450 Great Shame

Linda, despite laughing to herself quietly, was surprised to hear what Charles had said. Apparently, Charles and Linda had already been married for three years!

'Has it really been that long? Time sure does fly, ' Linda snickered.

"B-B-But that's impossible! Why would that ring be inside my bag? It's not even mine," Faye said worriedly, eyes darting around the room as she tried to weasel her way out of the embarrassment.

"Don't you dare try and play dumb with me, Miss Hong. We already caught you red-handed with the ring in your bag. You still remember your promise, right? Certainly you wouldn't need me to remind you again..."

Paul trailed off, looking at Faye wickedly.

Faye began sweating in cold panic.

"It was inside your bag, Miss Hong. It seems as though you really did steal it," the police officer admitted behind the table.

Faye was an incredibly reputable woman, and the police officer was somehow feeling a little sorry for her.

But the evidences were strong against Faye. Faye really did steal it.

"Believe me! I really didn't steal it! Mr. Mu, our two clans are close partners! Why would I ever steal your things?" Faye pleaded.

Charles scoffed and narrowed his eyes at the poor woman. He himself was enjoying this little trick that Paul had set, but it was time to pull the clincher. Finally, she could pay for all the things that she had done against his wife.
