Chapter 1443 I Don't Owe You Anything

"Finding a job isn't as easy as you think, Iris. You should always better prepare yourself," Linda answered calmly.

Linda didn't owe Iris anything to offer her a job.

"But you're the Lady of the Lu Clan! How could you say something like that to me?" Iris retorted angrily. She glared at Linda intensely.

"Can you calm down? I'm married to Charles Mu. If you're going to ask me to look for a job for you I would have figured that you'd at least know what clan I married into. It's Mu, not Lu," Linda answered impatiently.

She shook her head in annoyance. Iris was really beginning to push herself.

Did Iris really believe that Linda owed her?

"That's rich, coming from a woman who wouldn't hold her hand out for an old roommate," Iris said.

"What's the matter with you? Lady Linda doesn't owe you a single thing. Why should she help you find a job? No commoner scum would ever be allowed to work for the Mu's Group!"

Bun chided as she stood angrily from the dining table.

Iris' face flushed deeper with seething anger.

"Of course she owes me. What are you talking about?" Iris shouted.

"Really? Tell me then. What do I owe you?"

Linda asked with a bemuse

to accept anything from you. You didn't treat me as your friend. You treated me as a task. And what is this atrocious thing? This bag is so ugly. I wouldn't accept this even if my closest friends gave it to me."

Linda was losing patience with Iris. She tried to be nice, but Iris was pushing her towards her breaking point. Linda felt that Iris had changed a lot in the last few years. Linda could hardly recognize her.

Linda was growing infuriated with her old roommate.

"This is exhausting. Enjoy yourself, Iris. I really hope you have a good life. I have far too many things to worry about. Goodbye."

After Linda finished speaking, she turned around and left. Iris was sitting there filled with anguish and anger. Even if the food was delicious, she quickly lost her appetite.
