Chapter 1011 I Will Follow Your Words

When Lenny heard the news that Devin was going to marry Patricia from both Rosy and Jessie, he was enraged.

He didn't know why his son had made such a stupid decision. Moreover, he couldn't understand why he was finding out the news from other people instead of Devin himself.

"Where is Devin?" he asked, trying to control his anger.

"Brother is still at the company. He told me that he had an important meeting and would be back a little late," Rosy replied.

"Is there anything more important than this? There's a pregnant woman in our house who is looking for him! Give me my phone, I'll call him myself!"

A servant hurriedly went into Lenny's room and brought him his phone. Taking the phone from the servant, Lenny immediately dialed his son's number.

Devin, who saw that he was getting a call from his father, excused himself from the meeting and picked up the call.

"Hello, father. Are you calling about something important? I'm in the middle of a meeting." Devin was confused because his father usually didn't call him when he was at work.

"Humph! So you still know that I'm your father? Shame on you!" Lenny yelled over the phone.

Devin was even more confused now. Why was his father talking to him like this even though he'd done nothing? Devin was really lost.

"Father, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm in the middle of a meeting about a very important acquisition plan. It's about the project cooperation intention of our company in the next quarter. If there's nothing urgent to talk about, I'll call you later."

Lenny's anger rose. His son had gotten a woman pregnant but he was still focused on the company meeting as if nothing had happened.

"Listen to me! Come back home right now! I don't care what kind of meeting you're in. If you can't even settle your personal issues, it doesn't matter how successful your meeting is."

Compared to the reputation of the Nalan Clan, an acquisition plan for the next quarter wasn't important at all.

Devin knew that

e his father was insisting that he come back, Devin had to follow his father's request. But just before he could hang up, Lenny spoke again.

"That woman is in our home. You'd better be quick!"

"What? Has Patricia come to our house?" Devin asked in surprise. Earlier, he had asked Patricia to go to the Nalan Clan's residence on her own, but he'd never expected her to act on his words immediately.

"Okay. Father, don't worry about it. I will settle this meeting in a few minutes and come back home," Devin said.

Devin was a good boy who always listened to his father. Since his father was asking him to come back home, he would do as his father said no matter what happened.

"Father, I will talk about it with Patricia in detail. Of course, in the end, I will listen to your decision. After all, you're the backbone of the Nalan Clan."

Although Lenny knew that Devin was flattering him, his spirits lifted. "Don't try to suck up to me. You don't usually say such words. Now that you're saying them, I know you've definitely been up to no good!"

Lenny said in a doting voice. After all, Devin was his son.

"Father, if you ask me to marry her, I will do that. If you don't approve it, I won't marry her no matter what happens! All in all, Father, I will follow whatever you say!"

And with that, Devin hung up the phone.
