Chapter 952 There Won't Be Any Retaliation Against Me

"Jessie, I can still smell blood in the air, can't you?"

Rosy rolled up two napkins and inserted them into her nostrils, but she could still smell the strong smell of blood. She felt so sick that she almost vomited.

The stink made her stomach flip.

"No!" Jessie replied.

She felt sick too, but because of the mixed odor of different perfumes that Rosy had sprayed inside the room rather than the smell of blood.

Jessie suffered from mild allergic rhinitis, so now that she was surrounded by the mixed fragrance of so much perfume, she had a runny nose.

"Why do I still smell it?"

As soon as Rosy finished her words, she took a small bottle of perfume out of the drawer next to her bed and sprayed it. This perfume was the latest variety launched by Chanel.

Jessie stopped her in a hurry and said, "Stop spraying your perfume. You're probably feeling nervous after killing someone. That's why the smell of blood is still lingering in your mind. In fact, there's no smell of blood in your room at all."

"Even if that's the case, I should spray more perfume to calm myself down."

In spite of Jessie's dissuasion, Rosy continued spraying her perfume.

The whole room was filled with such a strong smell of perfume that Jessie sneezed twice.

"Don't you know that I have allergic rhinitis? You've sprayed so much perfume!" Jessie snapped. Then, she sneezed and said, "I feel so uncomfortable..."

She was really reduced to extreme despair. She and Rosy had known each other for so many years, so surely, Rosy must know about her allergic rhinitis. After all, she had told Rosy about it many times. So why did Rosy keep forgetting that fact without caring about her at all?

"Oh, I forgot. Okay, don't be angry. I won't spray perfume anymore."

After finishing her words, Rosy put the perfume back into the drawer.

But the entire room was already filled with perfume.

"I'm going to sleep outside in the living room."

Bettie came over with a quilt just then.

Jessie took it from her and began to walk away. She really didn't want to stay inside Rosy's room for a second longer, because the strong scent of perfume made her feel suffocated. She was r

here will definitely be opportunities for you to take revenge on her. It all depends on whether you will do as I tell you to or not."

Bettie stayed silent for a few moments and hesitated to answer.

"Of course I want to take revenge for my cousin's death. But I've been working for the Nalan Clan for two years and I'm very satisfied with the salary they offer me. It would be impossible for me to find such a decent job with satisfactory income..."

Jessie understood what Bettie meant at once.

She also understood what Bettie was thinking.

"Listen, I'm not asking you to do anything for me. I just hope that you can show up to testify as a witness when necessary. Take it easy. I will keep you safe. I know that you will lose your job in the Nalan Clan's residence after you do that, so I assure you that I will give you an enormous amount of money and help you leave this place. I also promise that I will make appropriate arrangements for you so that they won't find you."

"Really? Miss Luo, are you lying to me?"

"Why do I have to lie to you? Besides, what I'm asking you to say is a fact. Although Rosy is superior in status, she should pay for what she has done. Don't you think so?"

Jessie explained to Bettie in a kind voice. Even though she had only said a few words, she had managed to almost gain Bettie's trust.

"Okay, Miss Luo. I'll help you, but I hope that there won't be any retaliation against me," Bettie answered.
