Chapter 843 Act In Bad Manners

When the only response Victoria got from Charles was silence, she began to get a little anxious. She thought that Charles was either furious or numb and unable to accept the fact that Linda was cheating on him, so she began to feel sorry for him.

"Charles, please don't be so angry about this matter," Victoria said.

"Get out."

With these words, Charles tried to close the door, thinking that Victoria had finally lost it after being abroad for three years.

However, Victoria held out her hands and stopped him from closing the door.

Charles glared at her.

"Charles, why don't you believe me? Everything I said is true. If you don't believe me, you can go and have a look. I've already asked father and mother to get up and see what is going on."

Charles felt a stab of annoyance. He took a quick glance at Little Potato and Little Tomato, who were wriggling their bodies uneasily. It was obvious that Victoria was being a disturbance to them.

"Can you keep your voice down? Why are you speaking so loudly when the kids are asleep? You're so annoying," Charles scolded impatiently.

Victoria felt sad and wronged, but when she thought of Linda's conversation over the phone, she felt a little better. Now, her only intention was to get Linda away from Charles.

Victoria believed that as long as Charles was separated from Linda, she could get a chance to be in a relationship with him.

"Fine, fine, fine. I will be quiet, but you should come out now."

Charles wanted to see what the fuss was about, so he left the room with her.

At this moment, Linda was still talking on the phone with Bun.

Since she hadn't seen Bun for a few days, she really missed her. She was used to Bun following her around everywhere, and she'd always been happy in Bun's company. Since Bun wasn't with her these days, she felt lonely.

"My Lady, who were you quarreling with just now?" Bun asked on the other end of the line, sounding a little confused.

"Do you know Victoria?"

Linda hadn't heard Bun mention her name before.

"Lady Victoria is back?" Bun asked with surprise.

"Yes. Why didn't you ever mention her to me?"

Bun giggled and said, "I thought that she was living abroad and would never come back again, so I didn't tell you about her."

"Just now, Victoria heard me callin

very much and got along very well, so they often displayed their affection in front of others.

"Victoria, do you know what the time is? Why did you ask us to get up and gather here?" Violet was upset. She had a feeling that something unpleasant was going to happen tonight. She knew that Victoria must be feeling disappointed and indignant since she had just come back and found out that Charles was married to Linda.

"Mother, I wouldn't wake you up so late at night if it wasn't an important matter. I heard this woman talking to someone on the phone in the kitchen just now. She uttered some flirtatious words, so I guess that she's having an affair with another man."

"It is inappropriate for you to conclude that Linda is cheating on Charles just based on one phone conversation that you heard," James said flatly.

"That might be, father. But when I interrogated her after overhearing her conversation, she seemed to be guilty, like she had been doing something shameful. You had better look into this matter carefully. Otherwise, Charles's life would be ruined. I'm doing this only for Charles's sake. I can't let him be pushed around by anyone like this," Victoria responded anxiously. She could tell from James's tone that he didn't believe her at all.

She'd never been treated this way by her father.

"I seemed to be guilty? Yeah, right. Yes, I was talking on the phone earlier, but what does that have to do with you? You're the one who eavesdropped on my phone conversation. Don't you think you have bad manners?"
