Chapter 815 A Bet

"Yes, that's exactly what I mean," Linda answered.

"Don't worry. Since Bun is pregnant, we can get someone else to pretend to be Anna," said Charles.

"Someone else? But we don't have any other female friend who knows martial arts," retorted Linda.

"We do!" Charles pointed to Brian, which made the latter's jaw drop.

"What do you mean by that, Charles? Are you asking me to pretend to be a woman?" Brian asked in utter disbelief.

"Bingo! Usually, your wife could have served as bait. Now that she's pregnant because of you, you need to take responsibility," Charles said with a cunning smile.

Linda looked at her husband in amusement. He looked like a sly fox now.

"No way! I'm a man! How can I disguise myself as a woman?" Brian turned Charles down without a moment's hesitation.

"Well, in that case, I have to ask Bun to carry out this task. Bun is very loyal to Linda and she's fond of Anna as well. I believe..."

Before Charles could finish his sentence, Brian interrupted him.

"Stop, stop, stop! You got me. I'll do as you say." Brian had no other choice but to give in.

'Why doesn't Charles do it himself?

Why do I have to disguise as a woman?

I'm a real man!

Holy crap! I'm going to become a joke to these people!' Brian thought to himself.

Unable to bear it anymore, Linda burst into laughter. "Brian is going to disguise himself as a woman!" Then, she turned her gaze to him and surveyed him carefully.

Brian shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. "Linda, don't look at me like that!"

"I'm dying to know how you'll look when you dress up as a woman."

"I believe he'll look even more beautiful than his wife then," said Charles with a teasing smile.

Linda thought to herself, 'Charles' words make perfect sense! Brian's build is actually closer to a woman than a man. His face is well-defined—his forehead, cheeks, and jawline.'

Linda was really looking forward to it. "Brian, let me put on make-up for you tomorrow evening!" she offered.

A bitter smile pulled at Brian's lips. Had he known things would develop like this, he would have gone to bed with his wife earlier.

After they finished discussing this, Linda asked someone to pick Anna up from the hospita

uld tell. She believed that Becker wouldn't let Anna down.

All Anna needed to do right now was take rest and wait for everything to unfold.

"Anna, how about we make a bet? If you end up going to LJ City alone, I'll drive you all the way there and bring you back. How do you feel about that?" Brian shot a teasing smile at Anna. Obviously, he had confidence in Anna and Becker's relationship.

"Master Brian, I don't need you to drive me there and back. We need to think of some other terms," said Anna with a smile. She was feeling much better now.

"Then what do you want?" asked Brian.

"Let me see..."

Anna tapped the table with her index finger.

"I can't figure it out right now. Let's talk about it later," she said with a helpless expression.

She was usually quick-witted, but her brain was in a mess now. All she could think of was Becker.

"No problem," Brian said.

Linda turned to Charles, who was looking at her with a sad expression because he already knew what she was going to do. Ignoring his puppy dog eyes, Linda kissed him and then went to Anna's bedroom to keep her company.

The two women spent some time talking to each other.

Anna couldn't help but sigh repeatedly. Linda knew how sad and dejected she was feeling.

"Anna, don't worry. You need to trust Becker." Linda held Anna's hand to console her, but she knew that her words weren't enough to make Anna happy. The only person who would be able to cheer Anna up now was Becker.
