Chapter 793 Why Did You Switch Off Your Phone

Linda wasn't surprised to hear that.

"Invite him in," she said indifferently.

The reason she had come back to the Linda's Garden was that she knew Lenny would come to her. About an hour ago, she was at the Plum Garden when one of Lenny's servants had told her that Lenny wanted to see her, but Linda had just ignored him.

After all, Lenny was her enemy and she didn't want to give in to any of his requests. 'If he wants to see me, he needs to come to me instead of calling me over.'

A few seconds later, Lenny entered the room.

"Linda, how have you been? I asked a servant to invite you over, but you didn't show up, so I've come to see you instead." Although his words were casual, he was implying that Linda was an ungrateful niece who wasn't showing respect for her uncle.

He was wearing a big smile, as if he was blaming her jokingly.

Since he was pretending like he was a caring senior, Linda decided to play along.

She never took Rosy seriously because Rosy had no brains.

But Lenny was completely different—he was much more shrewd and clever. He knew that he and Linda would never make peace with each other, yet he pretended that Linda was his dear niece and that he cared about her a lot.

Linda knew she had to be extra careful when dealing with a cunning fox like Lenny.

As the Chinese saying went, "Aged ginger is more pungent." Lenny had a lot of experience in playing games like these, so Linda had to be careful to stay a step ahead of him.

"What are you doing here?" Linda came to the point without beating around the bush.

"Well, Rosy and Master Becker are getting engaged the day after tomorrow. You're invited to attend the engagement party," Lenny said with a friendly smile on his face.

"Congratulations," Linda said flatly, then took out her phone from her pocket and started fiddling around with it.

Lenny's face darkened with anger when he saw Linda blatantly ignore him.

But he couldn't afford to lose his temper, so he took a deep breath to calm himself down. It wasn't wise to pick a fight with Linda right now.

"All right. You seem busy, so I'll leave now."

Before he left, he cast a meaningful glance at Anna.

A couple of days ago, Rosy came to Le

Anna and cared about her. There must be some misunderstanding between them. She thought that it was a good chance for them to clear the air.

They needed to solve this problem by themselves.

Linda decided to stay out of it, because she knew that she might be more of a hindrance than a help if she got involved, just like what had happened with Bun and Brian.

Becker barged into Anna's room without even knocking on the door. At the moment, Anna was lying under the quilt, sleepless. Upon hearing the door open, she threw back the quilt and sat up to see who it was.

She was wearing only a nightgown and didn't have a bra on. At the sight of Becker, she pointed at the door and shouted, "What are you doing here? Get out of my room!"

Then, she wrapped the quilt tighter around herself.

"Why did you switch off your phone? You didn't want to see me, did you?" Becker asked angrily.

Anna rolled her eyes, not in the mood to explain what had happened. "No, I didn't want to see you. Get your ass out of my room! Don't you have any manners? Why didn't you knock first?"

Without saying a word, Becker grabbed her arms and pushed her onto the bed.

Anna fell backward and her head hit the soft pillow. Although it didn't hurt, she was startled.

Becker pinned her hands above her head, lowered his head, and kissed her on the lips.

Anna struggled hard to break free from his grip and slapped him across the face.

"Becker Wang, what do you think you're doing?"
