Chapter 643 The Police Came

Leo tried to enjoy the bittersweet moment that he had been longing for for the past two years.

Sophia had finally decided to get back together with him, but ironically, he wouldn't be able to stay with her anymore.

"Leo, I don't have to work tomorrow. We can spend the whole day together," Sophia whispered in Leo's ear.

Leo nodded in reply.

He wore a happy smile on his face but his heart hurt like it was being cut by a sharp knife.

He didn't have much time left to spend with Sophia. She would have to carry on alone without him soon.

"By the way, how is Langston's case going? I'm afraid that Linda will find out the truth," Sophia said, frowning at the thought of Langston.

Leo rubbed her head gently and said with a smile, "It's okay. You don't have to worry about it anymore. It has been solved, and you won't go to jail for it."

Sophia froze in surprise. "It has been solved? How? Linda won't investigate this case anymore?" she asked.

"Yes, she won't," Leo replied calmly.

Sophia couldn't believe it. Linda had obviously suspected her, so why was she just letting her off now?

"Sophia, from now on, you must behave yourself no matter what. Got it?" Leo said slowly.

"Don't worry, Leo. I'll be on my best behavior from now on. I swear that I won't stir up any trouble again," Sophia answered, smiling.

"Great! What do you want to have for dinner?" asked Leo.

"Do you remember the restaurant where we had chicken stew with rice when we were in university? Let's go there! Back then, it was quite expensive for us to have dinner there," Sophia replied.

"Of course I remember! At that time, we could only afford a small portion of dishes there and it wasn't enough for both of us to share," said Leo. Tears welled up in his eyes as he thought about the past but he didn't want Sophia to see him cry, so he raised his head to hold back the tears before they could fall.

"Yeah, we were poor. We had to survive on only two hundred a month. I still remember how you saved your food and your money for me," said Sophia, feeling guilty about how she had treated Leo the past few years.

Fortunately, she'd finally realized that Leo was the person who loved her the most in the world and retu

o strange? Why do you keep lecturing me about all these things? With you by my side taking care of me, I will be all right. I won't get gastritis for sure," replied Sophia. She looked up at Leo and was surprised to see the sorrow in his eyes.

Just then, the doorbell rang. "Who's that? Did you invite someone here?" Sophia asked Leo.

'It's probably the police, ' Leo guessed.

He opened his mouth to speak but found that he couldn't say a word. How should he tell Sophia that he was going to turn himself in? Could she get used to the life without him?

And if he was sentenced to life imprisonment, would she ever come and visit him in prison?

Without waiting for Leo's answer, Sophia went to open the door, thinking that it was one of the crew members from the set.

However, when she opened the door, she saw five police officers standing outside.

Fear gripped her all of a sudden.

It was said that a clear conscience could bear any trouble, but Sophia's conscience wasn't clear. So when she saw the police, she was startled like a mouse that saw a cat.

The police officer standing in the front showed Sophia his ID card and said, "Good evening, Miss. We are the police."

"Why are you here? What do you want?" Sophia asked in a panic. She thought that the police had come to take her away.

But Leo had just told her that he had solved the problem, so why was the police here now?

"We're here regarding Langston's disappearance," the police officer replied.
