Chapter 615 Never Let Go Of Her

Simon had known Leo for a long time but he had never seen him this nervous before.

As soon as he saw the expression on Leo's face, he knew that there was something wrong, so he nodded and led Leo to his office.

Once they were inside, Simon sent all his workers out on errands so that they could have privacy.

"What's wrong, Leo? You look serious. What happened?" asked Simon, handing Leo a cigarette.

Leo lit the cigarette, took a drag, and exhaled the smoke. Then he said,"Did you lead anyone to Sophia's room after she arrived?"

Simon thought for a moment before replying,"Yes, about an hour ago, a man wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses came here and told me that he had an appointment with Sophia. I assumed that he was her friend, so I led him to the room in person."

"Did anyone see the man walking into the room?" Leo asked seriously.

"No, I don't think so. Since Sophia comes here often, I know the rules. I led both of them to the room in person," replied Simon honestly.

Leo sighed with relief before taking out a bank card from his pocket and handing it to Simon. "There is 100 grand in this," Leo said in a low voice.

"What? What's it for? I don't understand," said Simon, looking at Leo in confusion without taking the card from his hand.

"Sophia came here alone today and no one came after she arrived. Do you understand?" Leo asked.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Simon.

"I mean what I said. No one else came after Sophia arrived," Leo repeated in a low voice.

Leo was offering him a lot of money for telling a small lie, so Simon realized that something very bad must have happened. "What did you do to him? Is he dead?" asked Simon nervously with his eyes wide open.

Closing his eyes, Leo nodded and sighed. "You can't tell anyone about this. I'll handle the rest. You just need to keep in mind that you didn't see the man with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses today. Can you do that?" he asked earnestly.

"I...I don't know. I guess I can pretend that I don't know anything about this, but Leo, you need to handle it very carefully. I won't take any other risks for you. If the police come here to investigate this matter, I'll tell them that I haven't seen that man and I'll pretend that I don't know anything about what happened to him. But I will never testify in court that nothing happened. I can only tell them that I don't know anything. I have a family to take care of. I can't take any other risks," said Simon worriedly.

There were fights in the bar very often, and during some of those fights, people would die. It wasn't the first time that Simon had encountered a homicide case, but it was the first time that someone was paying him to keep silent. Leo was one of his best friends who had helped him out a lot before, so Simon decided to help him out this time. If the police asked him about this matter, he wouldn't tell them anything. But the bottom line was that he would

und 3 o'clock in the morning, he had driven to a river and thrown the rubbish bags into the river with stones tied to them.

"Okay, I won't ask you again," said Sophia.

For the first time in a long time, she was obeying Leo's request. When she had first realized that she had killed Langston, she had been at a loss about what to do. She didn't want to go to jail but she also didn't know how to get rid of a body. So, she was just glad that she had Leo to help her. Now, knowing that he had gotten rid of the body successfully, she finally began to relax and let her exhaustion take over. After all, she had stayed up all night waiting for Leo.

"Sophia, listen to me. Take rest for the next two days, and then accept the supporting role in the movie. Don't mess up this time," said Leo seriously. Then, he placed his hands on Sophia's shoulders and looked straight into her eyes earnestly before continuing. "Langston is a famous music director, and what's more, he worked at the entertainment company of the Mu's Group. Linda will definitely hear about his disappearance. And if she notices anything off about you, she might put two and two together. You know that she's very clever, and she has all kinds of resources to find out the truth. So, you need to stop stirring up trouble from now on. Do you understand?"

Sophia looked into his eyes and nodded. She knew how important it was to lie low for a while.

She didn't want anyone to find out about this, especially Linda.

As long as the police didn't find out that Langston came to the bar yesterday to meet her, they wouldn't connect his disappearance with her. Even if the police confirmed that Langston was dead later on, no one would suspect that Sophia was the one who had killed him.

But Sophia knew that if Linda got the slightest hint that she was involved in this case, Linda wouldn't let it go easily. So for a while, she would make sure that she didn't have any conflict with Linda.
