Chapter 601 A Great Actress, Not A Great Artist

Bun was a soldier with military rank. She knew that even if she beat Adrian up, no one in the local police station would dare to arrest her. She was of a higher rank than the director of the local Public Security Bureau himself.

"I don't believe you," said Adrian, frowning.

"Do you want to give it a try? I can break your ribs and you can call the police. Then you'll find out whether the policemen would arrest me." She found the man standing in front of them sort of interesting.

Linda knew that Bun was just kidding. Bun would never beat him up unless he was threatening Linda's safety. She was just playing with Adrian because she felt that he had crossed a line when he had tried to flirt with Linda.

Even though Bun had wanted to teach Adrian a lesson by giving him a knock on the head, she hadn't hit him very hard. In fact, Bun had only used a tenth of her strength. However, being an ordinary person who almost never got into a physical fight, Adrian already felt a little dizzy after getting knocked on the head.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. How about I make it up to you two? Let's go and have a drink, shall we? It will be my treat," Adrian said, gently rubbing his head.

He didn't actually think that he had done anything wrong, but he was afraid that if he didn't apologize at once, he would get beaten up for real this time.

Although Adrian had no interest in hanging out with women, he always treated them nicely. Most of the women who met him thought that he had a delightful sense of humor.

The only reason he had been cold to Linda the day they had met was because she had appeared abruptly when he had been secretly watching gay porn.

His sexual orientation was a secret, and seeing a stranger enter his room and invade his privacy like that had made him feel angry and a little embarrassed. That's why he had been so aloof the first time he had met Linda.

Moreover, he had wanted to scare Linda so that she wouldn't dare to tell anyone about his real sexual orientation. But to everyone else who met him under normal circumstances, Adrian was a very nice man.

Linda, who hadn't seen Adrian interact with anyone else before, was a little surprised to see him apologize so fast. He seemed to have become a different person. She also found it a little hard to believe that he was actually offering to buy drinks for them. What had happened to the arrogant Adrian that she knew?

"Why are you looking at me like you're looking at an alien? I'm serious. I'm really inviting both of you out for drinks," said Adrian.

"Aren't you in the middle of filming? How can you leave with us now?" Linda asked in confusion.

"I

great actress who really put a lot of effort into her acting, but her lack of confidence was holding her back. She wasn't a great star because a great star would know how to get the spotlight. But Linda hoped that Alina would be able to develop her confidence soon.

The four of them went to a nice restaurant nearby. Since Alina didn't know Linda and Bun well, she felt nervous and didn't speak much at first. But as Linda and Adrian kept making casual conversation with her, she gradually began to feel at ease around them.

Linda soon found out that Alina wasn't a quiet person at all. She could be talkative when she dropped her guard.

She even told them some funny stories that had happened on set. Adrian and Alina told Linda and Bun about the dirty secrets of the entertainment world. Linda found some of them hard to believe but she knew that every industry had its own rules.

Even if she didn't like it, she couldn't do anything about it.

While Linda, Bun, Adrian, and Alina were having a nice conversation over dinner, Sophia was still seething thinking about what Linda had done to her.

She was sitting in her vanity van with Leo in silence. Leo didn't dare say anything to her.

In order to teach Sophia a lesson, Linda had slapped her hard on her face so many times that both Linda's hand and Sophia's face had turned red. Sophia's face had swollen up soon after that.

Half an hour later, Sophia was still sitting there quietly, staring into space. Leo felt very upset seeing her like this but he didn't know what to say to comfort her. Deep down, Leo also thought that Sophia had been out of line.

All Alina had done was accidentally spill some milk on Sophia's clothes in the morning, but Sophia had borne a grudge against her since then.
