Chapter 556 Love Song

Seeing the disappointed look on Cindy's face, Linda felt a little bad for her. She knew that Cindy liked Paul a lot, but nobody could force him to fall in love with her. It would take Paul some time to forget Bun, and it would also take him some time to fall in love with someone else. Nobody could help Cindy gain Paul's love except herself.

Cindy loved Paul but Paul didn't feel that way for her at all. It was a hard problem to solve, but matters of the heart often were.

Linda felt very grateful that when she fell in love with Charles, he happened to fall in love with her too. They had fallen in love with each other naturally. It was said that the simplest love was always the best kind. Until she'd met Charles, Linda had never thought that she would love someone so much, so it was a miracle that Charles loved her back, too.

Linda always thought that it was really lucky that they had been able to find each other and fall in love at the same time. Anyone who found their true love should cherish it forever.

As Linda was having these thoughts, Lily Jiang finished drying her hair with the towel. Since Lily Jiang was also a skilled computer technician, Linda believed that she and Cindy would have a lot of common topics to discuss with each other. When Cindy had returned to have her vacation, Lily Jiang had already started school, so they hadn't run into each other yet. Linda thought it would be nice if they could hang out sometime, so she introduced them to each other. "Lily, could you come over here? I want to introduce my sister to you."

Although Cindy was feeling a little upset after witnessing their sweet romance, she tried to put her feelings aside and greeted Lily. "Lily, nice to meet you. My name is Cindy Xie."

Lily Jiang, who had already heard Linda mentioning Cindy a few times when they had lived together in the Nalan clan's house, was familiar with Cindy. She knew that Cindy was a skilled computer technician like her, only naughtier. She still couldn't forget the story that Linda had told her about Cindy hacking the website of the Bureau of Public Security. Cindy had apparently gotten into a lot of trouble for that. Although she hadn't had to go to jail, she had had to be sent somewhere far away from SH city to take a more advanced course of study; and this time under a professor's supervision, she wouldn't do anything reckless again.

Since Cindy had dared to hack the website of the Bureau of Public Security, Lily had always thought that Cindy was very bold. Lily had been itching to hack it too, but she'd given up eventually, knowing that even if she succeeded, she might not be able to bear the consequences. Instead, she'd decided to hack the website of her university and succeeded. It was a small victory, but Lily was happy with it.

"Nice to meet you, Cindy. My name is Lily Jiang. I've heard of you before. I'm also very interested in cybersecurity. We should hang out sometime to discuss the techniques," Lily Jiang said with a smile on her face.

It wasn't easy to find a skilled hacker to talk to in person, and what was more, both of th

turned to Bun and said,"Bun, shouldn't you sing a song with Brian first? He has just come back."

"No, Linda. I think you should sing first," Brian said hurriedly, shaking his head. "We will sing after you and Charles. We see you guys as our big sister and big brother. How could we sing before you two?" he said diplomatically.

Linda didn't reply; she was in a dilemma about whether to sing first. Luckily, Charles noticed the nervous look on her face, took her hand and led her to the song ordering machine in the room. "Babe, come on. If we sing a song together first, then they'll have to sing too. They won't be able to get out of it."

Since Charles had decided to sing along with her, Linda had no choice but to play along. It would be inappropriate if she turned him down now. "Okay, babe. What song do you like to sing?" asked Linda.

"Do you know the words to 'You're The Most Precious'?" Charles asked.

Linda nodded eagerly. It was one of her favorite songs. It was a romantic duet where both the melody and the lyrics were beautiful.

The music began to play right after Charles pressed the button on the screen. The man's lyrics came first, so Charles prepared to sing.

Linda turned to Charles, only to find that he was gazing at her with a firm look, as if he saw no one else but her.

Linda had never heard Charles sing a song before either, so she was curious to see how well he could sing. Would his singing be great or awful?

Or it could be nothing special.

But she was most worried that she wouldn't be able to sing as well as him.

Linda held her breath and waited for the ball to drop.

This was one of the few things about Charles that she was only just about to find out. 'Show me how well you can sing, ' Linda thought, gazing squarely back at him.

If Charles sang badly, she would finally get a chance to make fun of him now and then. Till now, she hadn't found anything that Charles was bad at.

Maybe when their babies grew up, she could even tell them about the first time their parents sang a love song together.
