178 That Was Not The Case

Alissa remained standing at the back, it has been an hour since they came here and Amber have been shooting for that past hour.

She didn't know if she was just amazing or persistent, but her shots were also consistent. She would either hit the red mark or hit close to it.

Some were already watching her but most have already left, they got tired of just watching her.

Some even thought she was a show off.

Something Alissa found funny, can't they see how murderous her aura is?

Finally after more than an hour, Amber removed her protective gears and put down the gun.

"Should I be amazed of you or should I be scared?" Alissa commented lightly as she handed her a bottle of water.

Amber smiled at her before drinking half of the water in one go.

"I thought you already left, that was too long," she then said after drinking.

"Well, I had been in the runway for so long, standing for an hour and a half is no longer a big deal to me," Alissa replied.

"Then should I be amazed with you or should I be scared?" Amber returned her question.

Alissa just laughed, "I'm hungry, do you want to eat?"

"Your a model," Amber retorted but she was already heading to one of the famous restaurants in the city.

"I… want to talk to you about that," Alissa suddenly spoke after a pause.

"You know you can always just tell me what you wanted to say right?" Amber seeing the uncertainty in her eyes smiled at her and said.

It was then that they arrive, after parking they walked to the main entrance only to chance upon Timothy and Mathew.

"You're eating as well?" Timothy asked.

"Yeah, I became hungry after watching her," Alissa was the one who answered.

Both Amber and Mathew remained silent until the four of them were already sitting and their orders have already arrived.

"How long has she been there?" Timothy whispered to Alissa as the other two ate quietly.

"One and a half hour, nonstop," she answered feeling how awkward the atmosphere as well.

"That long?" he asked in shock.

"Mind you, she never missed despite the obvious decrease in speed of shooting, she remained focused enough," Alissa informed him.

"That means, she was that good in handling her gun?" Timothy was amazed.

"How about on your side?" she asked in return.

"You can just speak normally since we can hear you anyway," Amber commented as they kept whispering with one another.

Both Timothy and Alissa pursed their lips.

Though this is funny for Amber was younger than him but he acts like she was older than him.

"I…" Mathew finally opened his mouth.

Timothy and Alissa looked at him but Amber remained eating.

"I will persuade her before the first quarter event."

Amber slowly looked up.

"This little…

"Now, now, you were really rude a while ago," Timothy calmed him down.

"Then do you expect me to apologize to her?" Mathew asked him.

"I won't accept it," Amber suddenly butted in.

"Amber!!" Alissa couldn't help but to react as well.

"Why would I accept it when he didn't do anything to me? His apology should be directed to miss Pines and not me," Amber answered.

The three of them looked at each other before they continued eating.

"Let me just warn you," Amber spoke again after a while.

This time she was looking at him seriously.

"A scar that deep is definitely difficult to heal, when disappointments piled up followed by such remark from someone of higher caliber. One would surely have deeper scars than those who failed."

Mathew looked down to his food.

These entire outcome was something he didn't think about when he left that remark on Gee Anne.

"If you would be able to help her get out of her shell within these two weeks then I would help you out in whatever you wanted to do," Amber finally said.

She was not simply asking for a favor but instead she was here for a business deal.

These people were not that close with her in the first place, suddenly asking favors from them just because they were Ashton's close friends, does not sit right with her.

"I will help for partially it was my fault why she ended up this way. But for the favor I have nothing in mind right now maybe someday," he relented.

Amber nodded before she continued eating.

"By the way, what's the deal with the two of you?" Mathew asked after their meal, looking at Timothy and Alissa.

"Don't ask them for they also didn't know. What you observe is what they are," Amber butted in, sipping from her coffee.

Mathew's eyes grew wide, "I remember Xander told me about it. About Timothy being in the unknown stage."

"Yup, he must have noticed it as well but just kept it to himself," Amber agreed.

"Hey, will you two stop talking as if we are not here hearing you," Timothy butted in.

"Ah, you were doing the same a while ago. Why can't we?" Amber asked.

"Wha- You..."

Timothy could only sigh and drink from his own cup. Whenever he speaks with her, he would always end up having no retort with her straightforwardness.

Mathew looked at Timothy and Amber, his eyes enjoying their bickering.

"What about the two of you? What's the deal with you?" he asked looking at the two of them.

"He can't keep up with me, that's what's going on," Amber pointed at Timothy with her thumb as she answered.

"Huh? How sure are you? I am just letting you go because you are younger," Timothy answered back.

"Yeah, yeah, as if. I am younger but you lost in drinking to me," Amber retorted.

"That was not the case," Timothy instantly replied back.

"Not the case? So were we dreaming when we have to carry you to your room when you got drunk? Do you think you were that light?" she asked back.

"I didn't ask you to do that," Timothy felt embarrassed upon being reminded by that time.

"You didn't ask? Do you know what really happened back then?" Amber didn't back down either.

Timothy squinted his eyes upon hearing her question.

'Something else happened back then?' he couldn't help but ask in his mind.

"You are wondering aren't you? Well I was not planning to tell you but I have no choice, you pushed me to do so."

Seeing her open her mouth, Timothy stood up and covered her mouth, "Don't you dare speak another word."

Amber glared at him.

Mathew couldn't contain his laughter as he laughed out loud. Their interaction was truly funny.

"The others should see this, I never thought you have this side Timothy," he spoke as he laughed.

Timothy was only below Ashton in seriousness.

If they were together they rarely see such reaction from him.

So this time was truly an eye opener for Mathew.

Alissa who was watching the three of them finally smiled.

It seems that the fight a while ago remained to a while ago and the awkward atmosphere when they met again was only because Amber and Mathew was not really that close yet.

"Put your phone back to your pocket," Timothy said to Mathew, seeing as he was about to make a call to the others.

Just then Timothy suddenly exclaimed, Amber actually bit his palm.

"Do you want to kill me? I can no longer breath but you remained covering my mouth. Do you think that your hand is not big?" she complained as she looked at him sharply.

"Sorry," Timothy, who was holding his pained hand, apologized instantly.

For the second time, Mathew laughed once again.

"You really have changed, since when did the high and mighty Timothy apologize over such thing?"

Timothy glared at him before he returned to his sit. If they were not in a public place he would have smacked this man hard.

"Do you want people to recognize you? Keep laughing so loud then," Timothy grumpily said to Mathew.

Amber who was the reason for this was once again drinking as if nothing has happened.

Alissa was suppressing her laughter.

They all look so serious whenever they are in business news and such, but when they are alone, she can see that they are also just like them.

"I see, that you guys are no longer scared of being seen together," Amber commented afterwards.

Timothy and Mathew looked at each other before shrugging.

"We are not the heirs, there's no point in trying to act like we were rivals. If they cut ties with us then so be it," Mathew answered.

"Hoho, aren't you being brave now," Amber teased.

"Shut it, whose mouth did that come from? Speaking about regrets and all?" Mathew answered back.

"Well, isn't that good? You look much freer now. Compared when you eat within the house, despite being inside you all still look like someone was watching you closely," Amber commented as she took a deep breath.

*****

*What really happened back then?*

Amber was about to stand up, ready to just leave him be.

But just as she reached the door, opening it he suddenly grabbed unto her.

She looked down in surprise, "Where are you going? Are we done here?"

"I think we are for you are already drank."

"No, no, no, we are not yet done here. We need to drink more," Timothy exclaimed.

Amber didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he suddenly placed his arms around her shoulder.

She was almost carrying him.

"Were done drinking," she once again said as she tried to pull away from him.

"If we really are, then bring me to my room."

Timothy acted like a boss.

"Huh?" Amber was flabbergasted.

But Timothy's hold unto her became firm that she couldn't get away from him.

"Bring me to my room now."

Having nothing else to do, she gave Alissa a call.

Alissa was stupefied upon seeing the two of them he looks like a koala.

"Oh another servant, come and bring this master to his room. He needs to sleep now," Timothy commanded after seeing her.

Alissa was suppressing her laughter as she took a picture of them.

"Stop standing there and help me now, I might die of suffocation!!"
