143 The Real Reason Behind This Is This...

"I guess, but did you know that we were only together for less than two months before we separated again and only contacted each other through calls and video calls? This is actually our first meet up after so long," she became excited as she kept going.

Knowing that she can tell stories of Amber to her brother was a good feeling.

She didn't know what's their current relationship and how they ended up in this way but she wants him to know everything she knew of Amber.

Unbeknownst to them, Amber have actually returned only to see that they have actually found a certain topic to talk about and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

She had a smile on her face as she turned around to leave. She was planning on checking the company upon arrival so she can just have Alissa take home her luggage for the time being.

'That's right, they can have their time to know each other for now. It's a good way to make their working environment better.'

Without saying anything she went out of the restaurant intending to send a message an hour later.

After stepping out of the restaurant and hailing a taxi, her face turned completely serious.

The past six months she can see the changes over here.

Jake France didn't have to elaborate for she only needs to see the product to understand that something have truly changed.

She could only sigh as she looked out the window, "Time can truly change so much."

"Ma'am?" the driver asked after hearing her mutter without understanding what she just said.

"No, sorry its nothing," she apologised before leaning once again on the window.

'I just hope this change won't cause too much of a trouble,' she sadly thought.

Indeed the main reason she wanted to come here was for the thing she wanted but the secondary reason is because of what is happening now.

It wasn't long until she arrived at the Capa coffee shop.

It was a two floor building with glass walls surrounding it giving it enough brightness during the morning while giving a beautiful views of the city lights during the night.

Since it was located at the main city, the city lights were the most beautiful during the night.

"Welcome ma-…. *clears throat* Welcome ma'am, a table for one?" the waitress asked.

When she turned around ready to welcome Amber, she was stunned by her mask but was able to get her act together giving her a perfect smile.

Amber glanced at her name plate before smiling herself, "A table for one, thank you miss Gee Anne. Sorry about the mask, a scar was much more scarier than a mask after all."

Her polite words and voice somehow allowed Gee Anne to calm down from her shock, "You still look beautiful, especially your eyes."

"I've heard about this place, are you planning to be an actress?" she asked as Gee Anne lead her to a seat at the second floor.

"I see, I wish you luck," Amber replied.

"Oh uhmm what would be your order? Also I would be singing in a while as an entertainment for the customers, please feel free to give me your comment," Gee Anne said.

"Cafe Latte then, I would love to listen to it," she answered with a smile.

She saw it, her eyes have the shock from a while ago but not even a tinge of mock after seeing her mask and hearing her reason behind it.

"Here you go," a moment later Gee Anne returned with her order.

"Thank you."

Amber pulled out her phone and made a call.

"What?!? I'm busy right now, don't go making me create a gown now if you need it in a week," he complained instantly after answering the phone call.

Amber laughed she only told Alissa of her arrival.

"Where are you right now?" she asked.

"I'm in the office right now, finishing some files and some designs, you're a slave driver after all. Does not even want to come and help this beautiful one," he kept going.

"I'm currently having some cafe latte," she said with a smile as she looked at the building on the other side of the building across the coffee shop.

It was no longer a secret, the fact that the coffee shop was actually how the artists of Capa entertainment were trained.

Where they were scouted before being brought to the main company.

Especially now that Capa has somehow gotten some standing already.

That is also why the place is quite packed with service crews.

"Geez here I am working my ass off and there you are trying to show off," Jake France replied with gritted teeth.

"Who said I am showing off? I am inviting you, don't you want to have coffee with me?" Amber asked in a nonchalant manner.

"Yeah right, do you expect me to fly all the way to Celestial country just to have coffee with you?" Jake France rolled his eyes as he responded.

"Geez just fly over one building and you can have coffee with me by then," Amber replied as she sip from her cup.

"Over a building?" Jake asked in return.

"Over a building, I can see one building separating the coffee shop and the main building itself. So I guess you could just fly over one building and you'll arrive at Capa coffee shop."

Jake who started working again stopped his movements before looking outside his floor to ceiling window where you can see the coffee shop on the other side of the building across the street.

"Are you playing with me now?" he asked as he squinted his eyes.

"If I am joking how would I have been served by miss Gee Anne Pines who was about to have her debut? She's quite a beauty isn't she? With her curly hair giving more charm on her face."

Jake's eyes grew wide, "Are you really here?"

"Oh I wouldn't say so if I am not," she amusedly said.

"Don't you dare stand up where you currently are, I'll be there in a minute."

After that all she heard was the end of call tone, she smiled as she shook her head before drinking her coffee just in time for Gee Anne's performance to start.

She was in the floor below and Amber could only watch her through the TV monitor but could hear her live.

Amber closed her eyes as the music rang through out the whole shop and Gee Anne's voice flowed through the speakers.

'Her voice is truly beautiful and the emotions were just right,' a smile was playing on her lips as she kept listening.

She was only pulled out of her thoughts when she was suddenly pulled up by the arm and was hugged tightly.

"You stupid girl, how dare you only show up now?" she heard Jake exclaimed as she can hear him sniff.

"No way, are you crying now aunt Jacqueline?" she teased as she hugged him back.

"Shut up and let me see you clearly," he replied as he pulled away.

"Look at those dark circles and this mask, gosh how dare that girl ruin your beautiful face. How come you only expelled her before graduating? You should have sued her instead," he complained non stop getting them quite some attention.

Especially since he was the president of Capa Entertainment.

Since a while ago people have been looking at him wondering why the president would suddenly come.

It shock them even more when he suddenly gave the lady with a mask a tight hug as he spoke with her full of worry.

"Shall we seat for now? You're getting quite some attention right now," Amber exasperatedly said.

"Give me some Americano please," he nodded before calling out to one of the crew slash talent.

"And a refill for my café latte please," Amber followed after.

"Now people are looking at me even more, the mask was enough, with your appearance I am even more being stared at," Amber shook her head as she complained.

"Yeah right, your mask is eye catching enough. But the real reason behind this is this…"

He tinkered with his phone for a bit before placing it in front of her.

It was an article of her appearance in the year end gala, from her normal conversation with her mask, to their performance, to her mask being taken off.

"Wow, they showed my scar already? That's great, I don't have to keep explaining I could just show them this article," she happily said as she scrolled up and down on his phone.

Jake grabbed it away from her, "This is not something to be happy about, can't you see that you have a lot of bashers?"

"Why would I care about them? I am not an actress or a model that needs to have some fans," Amber shrugged it off.

"You really…" Jake sighed heavily.

"It's fine, I can see that you have quite some talents, their eyes aren't showing any kind of insult or judgment regarding my face or the article but I can see that they do recognise this face."

She looked back at him with a smile, "What do you think? Is it because they truly have no judgment or because of who was beside me?"
