Chapter 165 - Twin Jealousy

"What is going on?" San Zhe asked the two.

Cheng Xiu sighed.

Just as she was about to explain herself, the sound of light clapping came from behind her.

The three players looked towards the sound.

A woman in green robes sauntered towards them, a dainty smile on her lips.

Cheng Xiu felt an emotion that she had not felt in a long time. The slight twinge of jealousy. She wished that she had this kind of grace to her actions too.

San Zhe blinked. "Wow."

The woman showed a proud smile. "Thank you."

San Zhe blinked. This…how did she know that San Zhe was praising her? Sister, weren't you too confident in yourself?

"You must be one of the Queens," Cheng Xiu said.

The soft, delicate smile on the woman's face disappeared without a trace, and a cold glint appeared in her eyes.

Cheng Xiu stepped back. Shit. Did she step into a landmine without knowing it?

"I am the only Queen!" the woman said in anger. "That woman is nothing more than a mistress!"

Cheng Xiu nodded her head. "Got it."

"Who are you calling a mistress!" a voice scolded from behind the woman in green.

Cheng Xiu blinked as an identical woman to the first one appeared.

The two looked exactly the same. From the clothes they wore to the sound of their voices. There was no differences between them.

"My husband loves me the most!" the first woman said to the second, a scowl on her beautiful face. "You are just a cheap imitation trying to garner his attention!"

The second woman gave her a mocking laugh. "Cheap imitation? Who is the one who tries to wear and do the things exactly as I do? It is clearly you who is the cheap imitation!"

"How dare you!" the first woman scolded. "Me? Wanting to be like you? You are clearly copying me! I chose green as my colour today, yet you wore green! Clearly you are the imitator."

The second woman scoffed. "I wore this early in the morning! You can ask the maids! Clearly you are the imitator!"

Cheng Xiu flet a headache come on as the two women started to screech at each other. The two woman had high pitched voices to begin with. When they talked in a normal tone, it was very pleasant to listen to. But when they started to scream at each other…Cheng Xiu wished she could stuff clothes into their mouths to make them shut up.

She tightened her fist, and gritted her teeth, hoping that it would stop the agitation that clogged her senses then.

Yaksha tapped Cheng Xiu on the shoulder.

The red robed girl looked at him, her phoenix eyes holding grievance in them.

Yaksha felt a slight twinge in his heart at that moment. He wished he could take away her difficulties at that moment.

His fingers twitched, wanting to do something…in the end he placed it lightly on her shoulder, and gave it a light squeaze. He sent a small amount of Qi into her veins to probe her mood.

Cheng Xiu looked at him in confusion.

"Can I?" he asked her.

Cheng Xiu was not sure what he wanted to do, but she gave him a small nod.

Yaksha sent a quick bout of Qi into her body.

Cheng Xiu felt her nerves relax as the warmth of his Qi spread to her Qi center.

She blinked up at him, and then let out a sigh of relief.

The headache that was building up in her was gone.

The two stared at each other for a moment as her inner energy returned to normalcy.

That was when she heard a light whimper at the side of her.

Cheng Xiu frowned and looked over only to find San Zhe holding his head and groaning.

"Brother San!" Cheng Xiu called out in shock, and ran to his side.

Yaksha looked at his empty hand that was touching her warm shoulder a second ago with some regret. It had felt…nice to touch her.

"Are you okay!" Cheng Xiu said in agitation, making Yaksha look over. He saw her arm draped over the blue robed man's shoulder, completely focused on him. "What happened?"

San Zhe was just about to say something to Cheng Xiu when he felt a shiver go down his spine. He shivered. Why did he suddenly feel that he was surrounded by death?

San Zhe looked around and found his eyes looked with the dark eyes of Yaksha.

San Zhe shivered at the coldness that was there in those eyes.

He followed the big shot's eye sight, and found that it was looking at his back, or the hand on his back?

San Zhe understood imediately.

He jumped to his feet away from Cheng Xiu.

"Brother San?" Cheng Xiu called out.

"I am fine now!" he said in a squeaky voice despite the fact that the booming headache was killing him inside out. "Really!"

Cheng Xiu observed him for a moment, and then turned to Yaksha. "Thank you for your help, Dage!"

Yaksha looked down at her. "Just Ge his fine."

Cheng Xiu nodded. "Thank you!"

"You are welcome."

"Can you help Brother San the same way?" Cheng Xiu asked. "He seems to be going through the same thing."

Yaksha looked towards San Zhe, and just stared.

The two NPCs were still arguing with each other.

San Zhe shivered. "No! I am fine! Besides, Sister Xiu, you should not try to take advantage of the Expert! Isn't that what you said before? I am fine!"

Cheng Xiu frowned at his words. She turned to Yaksha again. "Yaksha ge?"

He made a slight sound of acquisition.

"What did you do to me exactly?" she asked. "Was that a skill of yours?"

"No," Yaksha said in a soft voice, "I just sent a small amount of my Qi to disrupt the Voice Illusion that the two women were pulling you into."

Cheng Xiu understood. She turned to San Zhe with excited eyes.

San Zhe shivered at the glint in them. What…why did he suddenly feel sorry for himself?

"Brother San," Cheng Xiu said in a very coaxing voice.

San Zhe shivered for two reasons. One was the hungry glint that appeared in Cheng Xiu's eyes that screamed "I want to experiment with this guinea pig". The other was the black eyes of Yaksha that promised death to San Zhe for the way that Cheng Xiu called him.

Bigshot, I am not doing anything! San Zhe wanted to scream at the man. It is clearly Cheng Xiu who had the ill intentions!

"How about I give you a bout of Qi instead of Yaksha…ge then?" Cheng Xiu said in excitement. "That way you don't have to worry about the fact that I am trying to exploit the expert!"

San Zhe wanted to cry. No thank you! He could see the mad scientist in the girl getting ready to dissect him!

"I will do it," Yaksha said.

Cheng Xiu frowned. "You will?"

"You will?" San Zhe echoed in disbelief.

Yaksha sent a bout of Qi into his shoulder instead of replying.

San Zhe gasped in shock at the sudden that he felt. He was sure it did not hurt Cheng Xiu when the expert helped her though. Was he punishing him?

"Done."

Cheng Xiu blinked. "Oh."

She sounded very disappointed.

San Zhe backed away from her immediately. It did not hurt! It did not hurt at all! And even if it did, he could handle it!

Cheng Xiu turned away from him with a little regret and then looked at the bickering NPCs.

"Why are they still fighting when it is obvious that their combo attack is not working?" Cheng Xiu asked.

"Combo attack?" San Zhe asked her in confusion.

Cheng Xiu nodded. "Didn't you hear Brother Yaksha's words right now? We were being pulled into a Voice Illusion."

"I see," San Zhe said. He was too distracted whithering in pain to notice such things. "So why are they not attacking us with something else?"

"Because they are preparing for a second bout," Yaksha said. "And this one would be stronger."

Cheng Xiu thought for a moment, and then raised her sword.

She created Sword copies.

San Zhe realised what she was trying to do, and pulled out his trident from the storage ring again.

Cheng Xiu controlled the sword copies to try beheading the NPCs.

The two women separated and glared at Cheng Xiu.

"What are you doing!" one of the women asked her.

Cheng Xiu shrugged. "You screeching was disturbing my peace of mind."

The NPC women glowered at the girl.

"How rude!" the woman on the right said as she pulled out a book from thin air. "Aquis Artus!"

Cheng Xiu frowned. Aquis? As in Aqua? Something to do with water?

A blue geometric design appeared under Cheng Xiu's feet.

Cheng Xiu frowned and lunged to the side.

Just as her legs left the ground, however, large arms made of water grew out of the magical pattern and grabbed hold of Cheng Xiu's legs.

The girl fell to the ground.

Cheng Xiu rubbed her chin from the phantom pain.

The women walked towards Cheng Xiu as one.

"Now let us see how much your peace will exist!" the woman with the book said to her with a sneer.

The other woman took out an identical book out of thin air, and placed it in her hands in the exact same manner as the first one.

The two were indistinguishable again.
